A human officer would never have written these tickets. Birmingham issued me a £60 fine before even notifying me that I had been through a ULEZ zone. I don't live there to know the zones, and it was in the evening traffic in the rain - unreasonable for the motorist to see the sign while watching out for traffic in an unfamiliar place in the dark. British driving fines are insane.

Very little law where I live, kids / teenagers riding offf-road motorcycles around the town for the last 3 years or more. No licence, no insurance, MOT etc etc Reported several times to the police, with dozens of CCTV video clips, and no action. The odd patrol, but little else. Police are understaffed and over stretched everywhere, so criminals have free reign.
Just tell the police that the illegal riders were shouting “hate speech” comments. They’ll have 4 squad cars, 2 dog units & a helicopter at their home address within 15 minutes 👍🏻

Big stick legislation against motorists. Just imagine the outrage if the Police announced they were having a crackdown on burglary and shoplifting...... It matters not that we are in a cost of living crisis, it is an extra tax on motorists that is not affordable at any time.

If you want better air quality close the city airport and ban private jets in U.K airspace.

So i am farmer, I have to go to Heathrow to pick family up, we have one car a 2015 discovery to tow cattle trailer, why should i pay for 4miles 12.50? Surely you (man on the right) don't really believe you're ever going to reach a point where country and city dwellers will have the same air quality? I lived in a big city in my 20s but when we married and had children moved to the country because we knew it was better for our children. It's the same old with this, all it's doing is making the roads clearer for the wealthy and punishing the average/low income earner.
When a goverment makes laws the public view as absurd or oppressive, or makes laws that affect the poor but not the rich, people dont obey these laws
Very little law where I live, kids / teenagers riding offf-road motorcycles around the town for the last 3 years or more. No licence, no insurance, MOT etc etc Reported several times to the police, with dozens of CCTV video clips, and no action. The odd patrol, but little else. Police are understaffed and over stretched everywhere, so criminals have free reign.
Just tell the police that the illegal riders were shouting “hate speech” comments. They’ll have 4 squad cars, 2 dog units & a helicopter at their home address within 15 minutes 👍🏻
They're not understaffed, they just choose where to concentrate their efforts.
There is always the excuse that police is not enough.

If ulez was really about clean air they would ban the non compliant cars.. I can pay £12.50 and drive my Range Rover in every day so no improvement in air quality. It’s just an additional tax.
