My boy went to our local council to apply for housing. He was interviewed by a female in full islamic dress and was told he had no chance of getting a home for him and his wife/girlfriend. He spent $13,000 Australian emigrating to Australia. I don't blame him but i certainly do miss him. 😢

But, I'll tell you something. Those people were keen to learn because they were so appreciative of coming to England because of what had happened to their own country. My mum and dad even learned to speak a little Polish which my mum used to tell me. About all I can now remember is that ski on the end of a name is male and ska is female. Anyway, then and now. As a person who's been teaching English for over 25 years, most non-English speakers want to learn to speak English above all other languages. If the English already speak English, exactly which languages does this woman think the English SHOULD learn, given there are literally hundreds of languages besides English to learn? Can you imagine if Istanbul was a mere 36% indigenous indigenous Turkish? What would people have to say about that? This woman is deeply insulting to the indigenous British people.

The reason British nationals are not being given expensive social housing or hotels is one of cost. Illegal benefit seekers etc get the entire rent and heating paid for. On the other hand, British nationals have price caps called universal credit. In this wondrous scheme, only a bare minimum of rent is paid, the balance has to be found and paid for by the British national claimant. Clearly another example of a 2 tier society.

I also know enough German already to communicate with the indigenous people of this land. She was not entitled to benefits, but didn't want any as she has always worked. She obtained employment a month later and currently works 2 jobs, she arrived by plane , with a passport and a visa with all required documents, unlike all the illegal undocumented infiltrators who discard all documents and come in illegally to a warm welcome and everything handed to them on a plate. What a joke. My wife has been here 6 years ,and would have been entitled to apply for citizenship, but as I was ill and unable to apply for her Leave to remain on time the Home Office have now told her she has to wait another 10 years before she can apply for citizenship. My wife never got to meet my parents as my parents were ill we tried to expedite her visa sending a doctors letter and then a consultants letter the Home Office said my parents were not ill enough or a priority my parents died 2 days apart a week before my wife got to the UK on a fast tracked visa. So when I see this preferential treatment it makes us both sick at the double standards displayed by the government's and Home office.
In Spain if you need an interpreter say for medical issues you have to pay for that translation. We have lost England who wanted diversity? Taxes being used for all this, yet no to Waspi and winter fuel payments. Back in the 70s we were encouraged to move out of London to so called New Towns.

I'm a 66 year old pensioner going through a 'no fault' section 21 eviction. The council haven't found me anywhere to move to. I wonder why.

Guess what happens when they pass away, the same house goes to their children as it is the “family home” on and guess what , if they want to buy it with a 70% discount they can.

My parents, following the end of WW2, assisted Polish people to settle in the UK. Many of them, couldn't speak much English and didn't really know about the English way of life. But, I'll tell you something. Those people were keen to learn because they were so appreciative of coming to England because of what had happened to their own country. My mum and dad even learned to speak a little Polish which my mum used to tell me. About all I can now remember is that ski on the end of a name is male and ska is female. Anyway, then and now. This is a right s^&tshow for sure. There are far too many foreigners in the UK, my country of birth. It must be dreadful feeling like a foreigner in your own country. This was already happening when I left. There were far too many foreigners then. Fast forward 25 years and for those left behind, I feel for you. Thank goodness Australia is my adoptive home - not perfect but light years away from the fiasco of modern day England.

As a person who's been teaching English for over 25 years, most non-English speakers want to learn to speak English above all other languages. If the English already speak English, exactly which languages does this woman think the English SHOULD learn, given there are literally hundreds of languages besides English to learn? Can you imagine if Istanbul was a mere 36% indigenous indigenous Turkish? What would people have to say about that? This woman is deeply insulting to the indigenous British people.

This is becoming a problem with integration in the UK - mostly we don't know what language is being spoken by the person standing next to us - so how do we purport to become proficient in some/what other language in order to communicate? Meanwhile most taxpayers are too busy working to pay for all this welfare nonsense and don't have the luxury of time to embrace a second language.

Many of those migrants will be walking around today under the white native status. A good 15% of today's white native population WERE the migrants from British commonwealth countries many times removed. Don't they teach people about the Medieval tradition of Anglicising surnames? It will have still been a thing in the 1940s and 50s for sure

The reason British nationals are not being given expensive social housing or hotels is one of cost.
Illegal benefit seekers etc get the entire rent and heating paid for. On the other hand, British nationals have price caps called universal credit. In this wondrous scheme, only a bare minimum of rent is paid, the balance has to be found and paid for by the British national claimant.

I also know enough German already to communicate with the indigenous people of this land. To get citizenship here you also need to study German to level B1, not a requirement in the UK to study English to level B1 I guess?
To get French citizenship you now need fluent French so why does the uk not propose similar laws?

How come my wife before she could enter the UK had to have a passport, pass an English test, TB test , Biometrics , pay ,NHS fee, Visa, Solicitors fees, I had to pay for a property survey to show the accommodation was suitable , have £60,000 in the bank to support my wife etc ,etc and every 30 months until she is allowed to apply for British citizenship?.., she is in full time employment, but was put out of work when the government enforced mandatory vaccinations during covid for carer's in the private sector or lose your employment. She was not entitled to benefits, but didn't want any as she has always worked. She obtained employment a month later and currently works 2 jobs, she arrived by plane , with a passport and a visa with all required documents, unlike all the illegal undocumented infiltrators who discard all documents and come in illegally to a warm welcome and everything handed to them on a plate. What a joke. My wife has been here 6 years ,and would have been entitled to apply for citizenship, but as I was ill and unable to apply for her Leave to remain on time the Home Office have now told her she has to wait another 10 years before she can apply for citizenship. My wife never got to meet my parents as my parents were ill we tried to expedite her visa sending a doctors letter and then a consultants letter the Home Office said my parents were not ill enough or a priority my parents died 2 days apart a week before my wife got to the UK on a fast tracked visa. So when I see this preferential treatment
it makes us both sick at the double standards displayed by the government's and Home office.

In Spain if you need an interpreter say for medical issues you have to pay for that translation. We have lost England who wanted diversity? Taxes being used for all this, yet no to Waspi and winter fuel payments. Back in the 70s we were encouraged to move out of London to so called New Towns.
