- State lawmakers are trying to figure out how to close a $67 million shortfall in the state budget, even as the governor passes a new budget. The shortfall stemmed from a mistake by the Health Insurance Affordability Enterprise.

Its clear they over tax us purposefully then once they have our money they try to pass bills so they can keep it. And now they even misappropriated the funds on top of it and are electing to over tax us to solve the problem. You cant make this stuff up.

@@kimberlybalogh4395 TABOR refunds are for those that have paid into the state tax system, so those that don't pay state taxes, should not be receiving a refund!

I love that!!! This is the tax payers money!!! Now I received a letter saying if you didn't pay your taxes on time you have to send the "check back to the state". If I understand this correctly, filing an extension is legal. This is money already due to the tax payer regardless of an extension. Luckily I filed before April 15th, so I can cash this check. Amazin Colorado. We need to flip this state to RED.

67M out of 41B is a 0.16% error. Barely anything compared to the admins being disbursed to teach your children, repair your bridges, maintain your parks, and subsidize a thousand little details that make your life in this state easier.
Make even that small of a error on your tax returns and see what happens if your audited
