Thanks for this I really enjoyed seeing Gellerpox wielded so effectively. Legionaries did very well well too considering their cursed dice! I really enjoyed the turn by turn debrief, this is really useful for newer players like me to understand your thinking. Would love to see some advice on deployment especially for horde/unusual teams such as GP.
What a game! Very exciting seeing these two teams go against each other. Love the paintjob on those Legionares, and the Pox boys looking stunning as well!
Favourite team has got to be the Voidscarred because of their versatility, movement and the amount of tricks I can pull with them. Plus they are some of the coolest GW models ever. For a really niche faction too
Forgive me if this wasn't the case when this was recorded, but I don't think combat works the way it was played out at 10:10 ish? When the attacker chooses to strike, the defender doesn't get to parry away that damage. Players take turns spending 1 die starting with the attacker and can use that die to either strike or parry (opponent discards 1 of their unspent successful hits.) From the rules listing on Wahapedia: 3. The attacker resolves a successful hit first. They select their attack dice result of 6 and choose to parry. As the retained attack dice is a critical hit, they select their opponent’s critical hit to be discarded. The defender then resolves a successful hit. They select their attack dice result of 4 and choose to strike. As the retained attack dice is a normal hit, the Guardsman inflicts Normal Damage on the Kommando. It's slightly odd wording, since 'parry' implies knocking away an attack *as it's coming at you* but mechanically and rules-as-written it just means making your opponent discard one of their unspent hits. Also very understandable misinterpretation because my group played combat the same way for months before a thorough read of the rules. Great match though, I love Gellerpox Infected :D I like how you have the profile cards for each operative as they come into focus in each round.
You understanding of the rules is correct and that is what is happening in the clip. Riggon rolls 4 hits and Pete 3. Riggon makes an attack and the damage goes through. (Rig has 3 dice left) Pete parries away a different damage die discarding it from the gellerpox. (Rig with 2 dice) Riggon attacks again.(Rig 1 die) Pete parries again. ( Rig has 0dice left) Then with all 4 of riggons dice discarded, Pete resolves bos final attack Hope that help clear it up a bit?😀
Really fun and interesting battle report, production is a top, as alwayse! One small thing though: Rust Emanations work not withing 2 inches of your models, but only for enemies in engagement range
Why don't you guys use some contrast dices? Like white with black dots or smth. I mean, you have this fancy dice camera thing for a reason i assume, but it's really hard to distinguish what's happening there)
Sometime it's just thematic n sometime it fits with our color scheme, but going 2024 forward, we will try to use dices that are easier to read on camera. 🫡
I do really like legionary. I play champ, shrive, bale, plasma, missile and butcher. I run them as 50/50 khorne and tzeentch. Missile gives flex between horde and elite teams, shrivetalon is a great APL denier (grisly mark and dismemberment). Champ also has the power weapon. Best thing I love doing vs horde teams is playing hateful assault (fight twice), blood for the blood god (+1 damage on first melee hit) and perpetual aggression (free 3” charge after killing someone in combat) strat ploys, then charging my champ, killing the enemy operative, free 3” charge into another operative, killing the next guy, then shooting plasma pistol at a third guy. That single activation can kill 3 operatives, you’re still max health and can score 3VP (eliminate guards, executioner and savage butcher), whilst you’ll only need to kill one more person in combat to max two of the tac ops (executioner and savage butcher).
Worth adding that you’re guaranteed to get a crit with khorne cause of their blessing. I also love tzeentch for their blessing (retain a 5 as a crit when shooting), but more for their tactical ploy to give an operative +1APL. That tac ploy can be really effective on the Balefire when he needs to double up on psychic, shoot/move/fight and be a mission monkey.
Please try this game again with new dice and this loadout: Nurgle: - chosen - shrive talon - tainted rounds - anointed - grisly trophy - balefire - aggression stimulant - heavy gunner missile launcher - gunner melta You can also load your shrive talon up with tainted rounds and the grisly trophy for a crazy door and objective control.
You stated malignant aura gave him a minus to his save. It subtracts one from the defense characteristic meaning it modifies it, as an example, fro, a 3 to a 2. Meaning, it acts like AP1. You played it correct but stated it wrong.
Good game guys! Great prompt - I have a bunch of favorites, such as Death Guard, Legionary, but a special place in my heart for Phobos. Do you take requests at all? Hand of the Archon against Gellerpox Infected?
We try to as much as we can. Some of our previous videos are actually teams that the community want to see play. So we can make HoA vs gellerpox possible but not so sure when yet.
@@2CasualYT Core rules book. Still applies. Same reason they had to FAQ that mission primary could score up to 16 now. the limit per turn is still in affect.
Noticed here that the Gellerpox were still using +5 FNP on their Revoltingly Resilient ability. Dataslate changed that to +6 FNP, plus techno curse is shorter range now and Vulgrar can only do his Lead the infection command point gain 1 time during the whole game.
thanks for keeping us on our toes. but that's not quite right, only the mutants and glitchlings get the 6+. big bois are still on a 5. but yep we have the balance data slate in mind this game. we do the 6+ for the little guys
@@2CasualYT yeah I learned not long after this that I had that wrong. I played at least 3 games with my Gellerpox before realizing my mistake. No wonder they felt kinda underpowered 😅😅😅
Included in the Great Unclean One is two separate individual Nurgle characters , ie Nurgle demon Champion holding a plague sword & the 2nd Nurgle demon has fly hood head + look's like metallic limbs + holding wooden staff, so i used the 2nd Nurgle demon as a Nurgle demon leader to go along side my Glitching Nurgle demon's & ship crew but use my Nurgle demon leader in narrative game play mission's ( Space Hulk 2014, 9th edition ) with friends, wicked 😈
Also what i like very much about kill team narrative mission play's is you increase your kill team model figure's in to larger groups in Space Hulk kill zone's & recently played a game using 4 Glitching Nurgle demon's with Nurgle demon leader & 5 Chaos spawn ( kit bashed with G.W bits ) to a nasty 10 beasty squad against 10 different types of Black Templers, och 🤕 , + kept the Black Templers busy with Chaos spawn while the Glitching Nurgle demon's infect the console terminal links, wicked 😈
To the question of the day, my favorite team is the Hand of the archon or the old school all witches Commorite kt, gotta represent the edge lord druchii faction

I’ve been waiting for the Corsairs since Rogue Trader, they are the best Aeldari produced so far..
I've got three teams and the Corsairs are probably my favourite. So damn fast and I'm always discovering new cheeky tricks with them.
Another fun report! Legionaries are dear to my heart, but Wyrmblade is my main and favorite team.

Oh man, that shooting attack from the Aspiring Champion was painful to watch.
Reminder that glitchlings have a 5+ invul, so that little guy had a chance.
that's true. They only have 2 defense base dice as well.
Really fun and interesting battle report, production is a top, as alwayse!
One small thing though: Rust Emanations work not withing 2 inches of your models, but only for enemies in engagement range
They may have gotten it confused with contagion (death guard, plaguebearers), which works within two inches.
Aw heck, good catch there. Sometimes you just go back to read a rule and there it is clear as day.

Unfortunatley, the Hateful Assault ploy prohibits you from shooting if you fight twice.
Great team comp for Legionaries, so many people take the wierdest choices.
Why not take Srive instead of Icon? Why does Icon in mono stand for Legionary?

Max 4 primary per tp good sirs. Keep up the good work.
Is that mentioned somewhere? the missions on the new crit ops cards explicitly dont have any point limit on them, unlike other missions

I feel that. archon is so fun imo, easily one of my most played
Great game! Sad seeing my fav chaos boys lose tho :(
same, even though I won, legionary is still my fav team -Riggon
for a moment i thought the Legionaries would be achieved the victory!
Haha! I had everything under control the whole time
-Riggon
@@2CasualYT jajajaja i have faith!
Hmmmm needs more Kommandos
Favourite team to play has to be Legionaires. That choice of mark of chaos is 🤌
