- Hello everyone and welcome back to The Beatles Forever. Today we are going to jump on the Wings bandwagon and follow them to Lagos. It was supposede be fun and sun, but things soon turned out wrong.
Let us see what happened there.
R.I.P. Dannie Laine
It's Denny.
Another interesting episode TBF.
Great video and fantastic album!!
Thanks so much!
The narrator left out entertainer Kenny Lynxh and boxer John Conteh from the album cover.
Yup.
Thank you for the information. I thought I had gotten everyone but somehow missed them.
Great video! Thanks!
Thank you I appreciate it.
Liven your voice up!
She talks the way she talks. It's all good.
Band on the Run is kinda like Uncle Albert and Admiral Halsey. He took bits of songs and stitched them together to make a song but listen to the lyrics- they don’t really make sense. PM was good at doing that.
Sad that it was a stressful experience, didn’t know about Paul having a health issue there. Thank goodness they endured and got that album cut and released. It stabilized his position as independently FAB regardless of the other 3. He became # 1 in dominating the charts and the others could only be jealous, attempting to do as well ✌️🫶
FAUL
So the drummer left on a measly wage of £70 a week when he could have been earning £2,000. And McCartney robbed the guitarist only because he claimed the right to be human and live his life outside of Wings. He robbed and kicked him out of the group under a fictitious pretext, spreading the myth that the guitarist turned out to be unprofessional and could not play the solo, which Paul played with ease. From Denny Laine, McCartney, with meanness and deceit, bought the copyrights to the Wings' joint songs, including the most commercially successful song in the UK, Mull Of Kintyre 1977. And during the Beatles period, McCartney plagiarized songs: Hey Jude, Yesterday, Blackbird. Later he passed off Lennon’s Yellow Submarine, In My Life and the joint Michelle, Eleanor Rigby, She’s Leaving Home, With A Little Help From My Friends as his own songs. Friends, don’t you think you’ve been paying this moral monster for too long?
I don't quite like that album. I thought some songs were not that good, such as Mrs. Vanderbilt.
BOTR...as good as any Beatle album
Any real Beatles fan would know that’s FAUL. Not Paul.
Who cares
