Can we just take a minute to appreciate the fact that: Lewis Black is still on the Daily Show after like 20 years?
Are you the PA of his publicist?
@@Tupelo927 Ya know... 🤔
I should apply for that! Lol
@@Tupelo927 There is an opening?
Strangely enough he seems to have mellowed out. I used to see his screamy rants and worry about his heart health.
Since 1998. He’s been working since Craig Kilborn was working.
Ive never seen Lewis Black have such a hard time getting through his set without laughing lol
He has a youtube channel. :)
@@jogreen3081 oh cool
The world is that ridiculous
Lol
Yea he usually stays in character the whole time. Always annoyed lol

Crippling student debt, poor housing conditions and gutted social programs can make you feel like you’ve lived an entire lifetime.
Everyone must go out and get success. They must move forward.
@@X2LR8 weird answer to societal problems that not all individuals can overcome
@@axellorenzojohansson4925 We can't sit around waiting for the government to make things better. You can of course vote, try to effectuate change and that sort of thing but I'm realistic as it relates to the chances of actual societal changes taking place
Exactly....!
@@X2LR8 the ole pull yourself up by your bootstraps quote. Sounds like a plan...
wow AARP dropped the age requirement in 1999 and I wouldn't have known without this video
Welp. They will be reinstating it after this.
I've been getting mail and email asking me to join and I thought they were idiots who didn't know I was only in my 40s... know that I know I can join (thought ai had to be 50), maybe I will join.
I hope that’s sarcasm you can easily find it out by visiting their website and I’m not even from the US
Right? I'm seriously thinking about joining now...

Went bar hopping with Lewis Black about 17 years ago. You'd never know it from his on-screen persona, but he's super nice and laid back.
Sounds like a fun night!
Nothing threatens him, he's fully confident
I envy you
I once opened his cab door when I was a valet about 12 year ago and he was a bit tired that evening but he was at the finest steakhouse in the city. very chill dude, blended in like a regular joe
I hopped over a bar with a black dude named Lewis when I was 17. Does... does that count?
Nah but he seems like a down to earth kind of person.
Love the goof with Trevor about quitting a steady desk job before you're even 40! 😛
Me too. Lewis can say it cuz he's one of the regulars that has outlasted the hosts, haha.
Haha that was a great joke. Although... Trevor's net worth is $100 million. He coulda live for centuries without ever working again.
@@TigerGreene Imagine making a 100 million dollars as a talentless hack!
@@bryanhall2860 How many millions of dollars have you earned as a talentless hack?
I’m assuming Trevor Noah was forced out. His ratings are 1/3 the level they were when Jon Stewart handed the show to him.
My exact question.
The middle aged are acting like the kids and the college age crowd are the ones yelling at the olds to get off their parents lawn.
I think you don't understand what a question is
@@chuckybang I don't think you understand anything clearly.
I didn't ask a question here. And the title is in fact a question.
"Why are young people acting older?"
Seen the question mark???
Get off your high horse.
You're not always right.

Lewis is awesome and a great fit for the show! I love the other correspondents, but Lewis just brings a different perspective on things.

lol ok zoomer where have you been.. he's been on the show since I was younger than you.
@@analoguegeek Hmm...
Gotta admit. I didn't think it was possible for Person A to grow in age faster than Person B? Is this a "dog years" thing?
Or do you need to read your own comment again?
Every time I pass a gorgeous 55 and up apartment complex that charges 50% of the local market rate, I want to fake my birth certificate so I can move in.
Great idea ! But the reality is that those over 55 apartments actually do charge local market rates. But they do provide bingo nights and country line dancing once a week. That's about it.
You could try moving to one of those "flyover" states in the Midwest that the coastal denizens love to poke fun at. You can afford a house with a garage and a yard. No rent control but you have the opportunity to actually buy your own home.
Just choose carefully where you settle in the Midwest. You don't want to end up in tornado alley.
@@bsb1975A cheap house and no jobs nearby.
Lewis black hasn't aged a day since the Craig Kilborne days. He's been 62 for the last 30 years :) national treasure lol
"Thanks, Lewis!" "Shut up!" The most Lewis Black exchange ever.
The most relatable part in the video😁
As a single guy working two jobs and taking night classes, the idea of staying in a place like a nursing home where everything is taken care of like cleaning and meals. It’s so appealing
Not in Florida, DeSATAN just signed a bill allowing nursing homes to hire 20% less care staff to help out the poor owners. AARP has come out against this dangerous decision
🥺
@debrahelmlinger6256 😭
Prison fits that bill as well, plus a dedicated workout plan 😂
Man I will never get tired of these Lewis Black segments.
1:24 minute mark; “Or else all of their organs slide into their ankles.” Man, I legit spit out my coke when he delivered that line!!
I go to bed around 8, I'm super quiet, I love crafts, I'm very clean, and I collect antiques. I want to move in to a senior living community!
Don't forget your neighbors are deaf so they might not be super quiet.
And we would welcome you as long as you watch us through the window as you should! 🎏🎈🎊
Its kinda funny my parents are 60 and talking about not being old yet but at 27 I'v fully given up any pretences of youth. I basically live like an old widower keeping to himself.
Nero is a great pen name, or actual name?
@@wordzmyth Its a pen name thanks for asking
I find that keeping to one's self is not a bad thing at all, considering how many people of any age are trouble making busybodies who are clueless about the concept of minding their own business, and are compulsively overinvolved with sheer nonsense like gossip and trashtalk.
"Discounts on catheters" That did me in.🤣🤣Keep it coming Black, you speak the truth through tears of laughter.
I miss Carlin but have you live.
I'm 26, I'm not going out after 8. I'd rather enjoy myself in the comfort of my own home than go sit in a loud crowded restaurant any day.
Lewis Black never disappoints !
Back in black is a gem
Trevor face At 5:56 was the best part. I could not stop laughing 😂
I prefer his sneaky face @6:35. Cheeky MFer is gonna troll us forever if this is anything to go by!
6:35 is even funnier
What does trevor face mean?
@@zenchi9214 the way he looks, speechless, flabbergasted
1) I love eating dinner around 5:30 cuz once I'm home, I don't want to leave again
2) I don't have an AARP card, but they did try to sign me up when I was 17 (eons ago). I had to tell them I was a Senior in Highschool not in life.
Trevor getting busted by Everybody! Got me cracking up. 🤣😂🤣
Also, I didn't know there wasn't an age limit for AARP. When I turned 50, they sent me membership info. I never even once got anything from them prior to that. Like literally, the week before my 50th birthday is when they sent the info!
They started sending me info when I was 48. 😆
I started getting invites from AARP when I was 30!
Best advice: If they ask for money, it's a scam.
"Look at her. Look at you. It's not happening." :))))))))))
Love Lewis Black segments 😹♥️
online scams hit both the young and old so still no change to a fact the everybody still
falls suckers to scams
Yey - more LB please! Love the Trevor Noah mega poster on the wall when Lewis is filmed outside.
He’s at DeWitt Clinton Park which is across from where they film The Daily Show
I was going to join AARP in my 40s, my parents said no, you join when you're 50.
Lewis Black needs to turn this skit into an hour of stand up material! It's beyond hilarious! 😂
You... You know he's a comedian, right?
He's been doing stand-up since before most of this comment section was born.
He is on tour now and does a Rantcast weekly.
The early eating thing is because intermittent fasting is so popular. No one wants to eat after 5pm
Yes intermittent fasting probably has something to do with it
Kinda silly as legitimate doctors find there is no real benefit to intermittent fasts.
@@IMeMineWho there is plenty of evidence in the research and plenty of doctors who talk positively about it. The nuance is that known benefits are currently indistinguishable from caloric restriction in general, which IF tends to cause. People can cut calories without having to mess with an unsustainable complicated system of doing so, so it is more effective and manageable long-term than other diet lifestyles.
There are also different intermittent fasting routines beyond daily 18/6 or 16/8 routines, such as 24 or 48hr fasts per week, and they remain under-researched.
Sadly, Lewis is still too young to be president...
😂😂😂
Yes plz Louis black for president😊
This is even funnier the older you are! 😉 Senior’s revenge for young people signing onto AARP: *you* get to receive all the spam-mail! Cremation services, life insurance, being on the mailing list of every charity in the world. Have fun, suckers!!!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
When I saw a senior citizen discount on my receipt.......slapped with a realization that I'm viewed as a senior citizen
We’ve been getting spam emails since the 00’s, big deal.
It was cool seeing my local news anchor doing that story about online scams! Thank you, Lewis!!!!
I listened to his albums constantly in high school and college.
Back the f@%k off! I LOVE it! Lewis always makes me happy. :D
I think the streets are getting scarier and scarier after 8 pm, which is why I avoid the late dining now. It’s scary out there 🤷🏻♀️
Hands down the funniest bit of the year. I forgot how much I used to love Lewis Black
I’m 24 I been “acting old” since I was 16 realizing that I can easily go into debt, social security not showing signs that it will be there, witnessing recession at 5th grade and now another one, houses r so expensive, groceries cost, still single, no jobs that pay decent without a degree or crazy job training that requires u to do stuff that’s out of ur control, so yeah it’s hard to be young when everything is against u. Rn I’m trying to get this career but have to get clients and everyone either hangs up or doesn’t answer and have 1 month to produce bunch of money before I can get benefits. Stress is basically a core part of my young adult life. I’m not asking to be a millionaire I just want basic needs and apparently I’m asking for too much. #playingthevictim #poorme #crybaby
Wouldn’t have to do old people stuff if youths these days don’t need to work 2-3 jobs to make ends meet, forcing them to start their days that early. Which is kind of sad that young people have to resort to these tactics just to survive.
Sadly It's true. The economic status is terrible, as a freshman in university, I wonder how can I get a proper job in the future 🤣
“Thanks Lewis”!
“Shut up”
😂
stay with us forever Lewis! we miss your takes on society!
Great set. Love to see Lewis today, too! Looking stately
I'm so happy to see he's still around! He's always been hilarious!
23 and raised on rock and 80s music. And Lewis Black hit so many points on my funny bone.
Give Lewis The Daily Show already, he deserves it!
Nah, Black's shtick gets old quick - even Lydic gets old and she's MUCH easier to look at ... R Chang or RW, jr maybe?

AARP members under 50? Such an outrage! However, if the "youngsters" vote along concerns seniors have, it'll make for a much stronger senior voting block, so ok. 😄
We won't; we'll just steal all the early spots in line, next.
@@badmexican333 🤣🤣
Why would the young vote for what the olds want? Usually they're in conflict
@@Obiwancolenobi Because they are AARP members and will reap the benefits.

I love Lewis Black soooooooooooo much! .... (I too get on Millennials and Gen Z-ers about reading actual print on paper journalism -- as it's not news fed to you based on your clicks, likes and shopping choices, and it's usually had overnight to perculate so it's not just reactionary and often goes beyond superficial click bait news .because it's written by trained journalists who are educated in their beats .... Ahhhhh, how I still love my Sunday morning NYT showing up on my porch : )
Hahaha! I've been an AARP member since I was 30...in 2000. The discounts got me through grad school.
Finally he is back! Boy I missed him! 🤣🤣🤣
It’s truly not our fault with AARP. I started getting mailers, far too often than I liked, encouraging me to sign up in my early 30s. I thought it HAD to be an error because of my age. Then I read the fine print saying I was eligible. If you wanna be mad at anyone, be mad at AARP! They opened the club to all… I still haven’t signed up because I don’t feel old enough and because I was offended they said I was. 😂 I still have 30 yrs before I can retire. It’s a daunting thought since I’ve been working since 14.. I’m 37 yrs old… 😢
Truth. I think I got my first mailer from those dorks at 29.
I wake up at 6am without an alarm clock and must be in bed by 10pm. Just adopt the old lyfe
Love this guy! He’s always been angry before it became such a trend.
Where have you been, Lewis Black? We've missed you so much.
I love the constant digs at Trevor for leaving the show. 🤣
Mitchell Pritchett (on the phone): "They can take us at 5:15."
Cameron Tucker: "What are we? 80?"
Mitchell: "Or 10:45."
Cameron: "What are we? 20?"
Young people are not acting older. They just turned into old people, and you turned into ancient.
Everybody gets a crushing weight. You get one. I get one. EVERYBODY!
acting really old before getting real old is like giving up a fight you haven't fought and lost yet but you know you'll more likely lose
Lewis thrives on this kind of topic
He's so Critical & absoFreaknLutely Accurate
Trevor's reaction was amazing
These young people are also doing old people things like voting, who’ve thought ? 😂😂
We need more Lewis black 😭
Wonderfully hysterical. Trevor rocks comedy! PLEASE STAY!
I never wanted to be associated with the designation senior meaning I never identified with them because I was working full time for a corporation. I didn't even sign up for AARP until this year. I'm now 72 and was 'retired'. (wink, wink) Funny thing though... now that I'm 'retired' instead of the daily barrage of corporate communications it seems every company on the planet now knows my age and that I am either a senior unemployed or retired and now calls me, texts me, emails me, or hits me up with an ad on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr etc. I declare this is predatory behavior. Really, is this what capitalism has become? This is not a free society when predators can spend money to hold a sub group of society hostage. This was a wonderful rant Lewis!
This segment was hilarious 😄
Idk why old people get all the discounts. Y’all had 60 years to stack bread 😂
My husband and I are Millennials and we eat dinner at 4-5 ish lol. We love getting ahead of the lines
Lewis Black is an absolute treasure
Hang out at my bachelor pad, got a plastic cover for my couch, watching matlock, while enjoying TV dinners.
My gran used to have those plastic couch covers. Now, having seen my wife's eating and drinking habits, I get it. 🙂
Ok I won’t lie, I enjoy TVLand a lot more than I realize
We need more of this bridging the age gaps from Lewis!!!! Plz plz plz
Lewis Black is all of us! I love him. :D
I can't get enough of Lewis Black, lol!
Lewis black has always been one of my favs on the daily show. He’s still got it!!!
This man talks truth 👍💯
This was kinda the best. I don’t know if there will be another round of this show (hire jordan Klepper) but I hope that lewis black makes it through 🎊
Awesome , great job THE DAILY SHOW Team
Daily Shows longest running segment. Since episode 6! Still rocks
Now I really want to see a collaboration between Lewis and Roger Horton from Cracked.
Lewis Black is having a moment. ❤️✨
AARP is just an insurance marketing firm now, they don't even bother to fight for Social Security and Medicare anymore, since 2012 (their CEO said it was inevitable that we'd lose them both and stopped putting money in the political fight). Also, you get better discounts from AAA on things like prescription drugs and hotel rooms; we checked and AAA always had a bigger discount than AARP.
It's been some time since I last saw Lewis black segment on the daily show. Not sure if I missed it or if he was away. Anyway he's brilliant
1:05 wow! the graphics!
I saw an interview with Lewis a few years back where he said that people ask him to insult them in the street on a regular basis 😂
It was a big mistake drinking coffee while watching this.
To be fair. The AARP fine print doesn’t have an age requirement since the 1990s 😅
Man, I refuse to join AARP. They started sending me "you can now finally have your membership!" Not asking me. Not selling me. Just assuming I'm gonna just join. Feels very presumptuous, which is kind of insulting. Thanks but no.
6:27 "look at her and look at you!"🤣 Brutal
Yes I’ve noticed that…30 to 40 year olds??? Acting they my age..I’m 62! And not old😂😂😂😂
I don't know what I enjoyed more: The contents of the skit or just seeing Louis Black on screen again.
In any case, I hope that more young people will take advantage of the seniors' benefits, so that hopefully we will see him again more often in the daily show.
We’re exhausted!!
