    The part most people don't understand Is when they see a man with a big big beard is he may have started growing it 4 or 5 years ago , it takes time , patients , diet , exercise and perseverance , there's no getting around it .

    • @beardmanners
      @beardmanners  Рік тому +1

      Yeah definitely. You won’t ever really see me post much about growth other than diet and good routines but I very much push that there is very little you can do to alter how a beard grows. There are definitely ways to make a beard look better but not make it grow.

      I'm sorry but it had nothing to do with diet, care, or anything like that. It's the attitude of F$^@% it I'm not using a razor anymore nor am I cutting my hair. Two years later I have a monster beard . No shaping, no barber, no product. Now people call me Moses. I'm good with that.

    I don't compare, but I do check out other men's beards, and if I feel it is appropriate I will give the man a compliment. I believe us beardies should boost each other up. I also get beard envy. Not beard *jealousy* because it is not malicious or self-defeating. Beard *envy* is positive, it allows me to appreciate what others have so I can see what I want to achieve.

      Yeah this is a good way to look at it. I think that some guys perhaps would like a beard that they simply can not have and that isn’t great but a target is good. Mine is quite wild so other than trimming it I do not have much choice 🤣

      I currently have the same length of beard as beard manners, all I do is every 4 months a little very little trim of the very bottom of my chin's beard hair (less than a centimeter of transparency trim). It allows for incredibly very fast growth, length, brings back volume quickly, and most importantly it takes away transparency from underneath. Of course without touching the neckline and nor adam's apple area.
      In just 3 weeks after you did the transparency trim your beard will be a beast much better in length and volume than before the transparency trim. Guys do that every 3 or 4 months and you will do a great service to your beard.
      Ps: This is the beard transparency method of Dan C Bearded (UA-camr and bearded guy).

    Great advice to leave it alone and get a good barber.
    I would suggest to go further and grow it at least a year before cutting. Might look like crap at times but it will settle out and look great if you do go to the right barber. Oh and the oils and butters do make a huge difference to the condition of the beard and in reducing any itching, especially good quality stuff like Beard Manners.

    6:23 over-washing.
    I wash mine every day. The thing I struggle with is eating. It just seems like no matter how hard I try, food ALWAYS gets in my beard. And I don't want that left in there. So I wipe with a facial cleansing wipe, and then wash it in the shower the next day. What is the solution otherwise? Puree all my food and suck it up through a straw?

    • @beardmanners
      @beardmanners  Рік тому

      If your beard is dirty then yeah of course give it a wash. I find certain foods a struggle but for the most part I do not have an issue with getting all foods in my beard. But either way over washing is not great for the beard so if daily washing can be avoided then that is best and if not then by all means wash daily 👊🏼

      @@beardmanners yeah. You're not wrong when you say beards are high maintenance. It's a struggle but it's worth it. Makes me die when people say having a beard means you're too lazy to shave. Bruh 🤦🏻‍♂️🤨

    i started having interest in growing beard since 7 years now..but i have a very coarse afro-like beard that is always dry no matter which products i use (oil, balm etc). Moreover i noticed that the part under the chin grows much slower than the bottom part and this gives not a very good-looking effect :( any suggestions?

    • @beardmanners
      @beardmanners  8 місяців тому +1

      Hey mate so a butter and oil would be better for solving this than an oil and balm would. Also try to use a proper beard wash and to only wash 2-3 times per week. Apply the oil/butter twice a day and only use small amounts at a time. Better quality products will do a better job. Regarding the growth, most of us have irregular growth mate so try not to worry. Grow it out for a good 6 months or so and then let a good beard barber shape it for you 👊🏼
