Reseting the Service Counter - Mercedes W209, 210, 211 after Oil Change

In this short video I will be showing you how to reset the 15000km (10000mile) warning that comes up when you have preformed a oil change at home.
Key to position 2
Press "0" twice within 4 seconds
Hold "0"
Key position 0
Key position 2
Keep holding "0"
Done!

Yup this did it. Worked today on my 1999 W210. I’ll not that the first run-through when you say (after pressing 0-0 while it’s in position 2) “pull it out”- what you meant was “turn it off.” Back to pos. 1, then press and hold 0 and, while still holding, turn key back to pos. 2. After 10+ seconds of that holding, the reset happens. Thank you!!

Excellent! I have, and some service people have been trying to reset this for about 30k miles. Following the instructions in the manual did not produce the desired result. This worked for me the first time and the video showed the necessary timing of steps. Thank you so very much!
