A whole lot of Glass' music has that ability. I'm not sure whether I enjoy his work for the music itself or for the transporting capacity it continually plays on me. It's as good a high for me as anything I've experienced chemically. I'm not exaggerating. Sometimes, I forget where I am. I can't listen in the car any more. Not advised at all for me.
Thank you for sharing this. Most people get out off the theater when end titles come up. But we stayed to the end of this masterpiece. I think the best film made during past ten years. Pure cinema. This will stay in the history of best films ever done. This is so honest and this is so true. Leviathan refers both to Hobbes' book and I think also to Melville's Moby Dick.
Utter despair is now the norm, in case you've missed that. For sheer crashing despair, read Haldor Laxness"s book, Independent People. Handle with care.

Ok... I KNOW I will take flack for this, but I was expecting something DIFFERENT from "classical Glass", a la Freezing and the like.... sigh. Its the SAME OLD CRAP again and again.
