    A question brother, to put the batteries to change the controller, are you only using the one that comes with the bicycle?

    Id love to know whats inside them black boxs other than the wires connections 🤔,im guessing lots of electric filler .(i run 2 48volt batterys on a simple xt60 and xt 90 harness specially when your only runnin in parallel)✌️

      I thought the same thing you just plug them together. The bike gets the same voltage but the amps are increased.

      ensures that the two batteries discharge in a balanced manner. it also works with the xt60 and xt90 wires. but they do not both discharge the same. which gives your batteries a shorter lifespan or can even damage them

    Are you able to charge both batteries with their own charger at the same time? Or do you disconnect to charge?

    • @bikelifegee

      I disconnect and charge individuallly

    Ive heard these battery blender things give you more range than running one battery after the other, But how is that possible? I can see it helping with performance and voltage sag though because your drawing juice from both packs at once, But i dont get the people saying increased range over running one battery after the other, Ive got a 40a one that i aint fitted yet, batteries are 48v 15ah and 48v 13ah.

      More Amp hour

      @denstorebog 8 місяців тому +2

      E-Bike shuts off when voltage drop hits a set limit. 2 batteries as you said helps with voltage sag, so 2 batteries can hold voltage over set limit longer.

    You need both batteries to be at the same voltage if your gonna connect those batteries in parallel

    • @bikelifegee

      Not with this blender you can use a smaller Amp hour or larger

    • @barrybabbot7481
      @barrybabbot7481 7 місяців тому

      nah, if ones low and ones high as soon as you connect they balance themselves out. The higher one will fill the lower one and they be equal.

      I think he means Even with a blender you can't mix Voltage, both have to be 36/36v or 48/48v etc, as you said you can mix Amp hours, you can potentially mix a 48/52v as the blendar will take the power from the 52v first untill the volts match @@bikelifegee

    • @leoelegado
      @leoelegado 5 місяців тому +1

      For sure you can’t mix say a 52v with and 80v?

    im just wondering about the battery indicator on my display if you run a parallel set-up. does it show how much is left in one battery or both?

    • @bikelifegee
      @bikelifegee  7 місяців тому +1

      If you have 1 battery on it will show 1 if you have both batteries on that indicator won't lose 1 bar for 20 miles so it shows both

    Does your bike regen when coasting or braking, i just bought this blnder and a 20ah battery but my bikes does regen am worried about energy back feeding being a problem.

    • @fdlocke
      @fdlocke 9 місяців тому

      I added my second battery and this kind of battery blender does handle regen. Some others that are higher priced don't do regen. I now have 35Ah of range.@@bikelifegee

    • @levistrnad2965
      @levistrnad2965 2 місяці тому

      So they do support regen? That makes me nervous without cell balancing especially for individual packs that aren't monitored. Like I'm looking into adding this system for a onewheel and keep og battery and add a DeWalt 60v battery. However I don't know how that works on the onewheel maybe it only charges individual cells through bms on the main battery so I wouldn't have to worry about backcharging the DeWalt

      @@bikelifegee really? all the information i can gather tells me that's a no... you really don't want different voltage batteries connected to this thing if it can't handle it otherwise that fire you were preparing for will most definitely happen! 😂

      @danimayb it's a blender it blends the batteries my boy runs a 52 volt and 48 volt together I was going to do the same but I got a battery free

      @@bikelifegee yes it's a dual battery connector, But many of them out there can only safely operate with 2 batteries of the same voltage rating.. So this is one that can be used with 2 different voltage packs?
