I am glad to hear that there are low amperage horns that can be used. I just need a horn that can penetrate the cabin of other vehicles better so that they hear me.
The plastic removal doesn't apply to 2022 outlander. The outlander has another plastic below the one that was removed from the video. That plastic is fixed on the grill.
I think your videos are so informative you remind me of the late pat goss from motor week my only question is I am seeing 2 horns on yours but on mine, I have only one on the passenger side.
I am going to be doing this on my 2023 Nissan Rogue with the 1.5 3cyle engine. Since you cut the wire going to the original horn in case you wanted to put it back, I guess that makes unplugging it as you detailed in the steps mute. Like you I searched for a plug pigtail but saw nothing for the rogue which is too bad. Cutting, stripping and crimping wires is not my favorite thing. Any thought about adding electrical tape around those connections?
@@COGuyStuff Done, my 2023 Rogue was exactly the same right down to the color of the wires. Thanks for posting I would not have attempted it without it.
i made the horn mod on my 14 FJR following your video - totally agree they're the way to go. Other than saving a few cents, any reason the manufacturers all use such wimpy horns?
It does suck! I don't know why horns on Japanese cars sound so bad. They are not even loud really! Will this work on a 2017 Rogue Sport SV too? Or would you know of a kit I can install without having to cut or tap any wires? I was thinking Hella Supertone or something like that. If it is plug and play with maybe a relay change and guaranteed NO electrical problems of any sort that would be perfect.
I have done a bit of searching and there are pigtail adapters so that you don't have to cut the factory wiring. This might be helpful to you if you ever plan to sell it you can easily put it back to stock. I will try those horns but first I will also get the adapter. If does of course plug into the factory harness and has the connectors for non OEM horns. It would also look more like it came that way from the factory if you prefer to keep an unmodified appearance given the fact that some appearance modifications. That is true especially non functional ones on these cars just make them look tacky. I like a loud horn but not loud exhaust. I was just always the sort of person who doesn't like loud noises. I don't even like that when there is really loud music in traffic near me. I do however think that the factory horn on a lot of Japanese vehicles absolutely sucks!
I haven't heard your voice in months since you moved to another platform - not that I don't want to follow you but I have to keep my social media exposure to a minimum.
I’ve been wanting to do this to my daughters car for some time but didn’t know if it was possible. Now I have a project ahead of me. Cool video, thx

I'm about to drop the dual Hella horns in my Subaru... we have lousy horns too!!!

Nope
Curious as to why you didn't mount the new horns where the old one was. Great video though! Thanks!
They wouldn’t fit where the stock was.
I have a 2020 rouge sport will this work with this car ???
Sure but the placement will be different
Won't this void the warranty since you are slicing the wiring?
On the horn, yes.

I searched and searched, nothing. Link?
Didn't show connections between new WIRES and the car. I want to change it for Two horns Hella (black/red)
6:06 I showed the connectors for the car side. Just plug them in.
how do you know the neg pos on the horns, mines do not show which is which or does it matter?
Good job 👍🏻
Thanks 😁
Hey how about front grill removal?

You can watch right on cigarobsession.com no need to go to the other platforms if you just want to watch
