Josh is by far the best interviewer in the esports scene imo. It always impresses me how well his interviews flow from amazing question to amazing question.

I feel like Paper Rex are the gatekeepers of like the top 10 international teams. If you don’t have the talent to keep up, they will just skill diff you, but if you do you can pick them apart
10? I'm thinking top 6 or 7 max. I think at their best, you have to be a title contender team to stop PRX, so that's at the very least: Loud, FNC, NRG, DRX, and probably Navi and/or C9 if they keep their current form? Basically the top 2-ish of every region

@@only1kingz Paper rex are a total coinflip, what you need the most is equal or better aim than them. If they are overcooking it, even a team like KC Core & Leviatan can shut them down, but then again this PRX has built upon their firepower with smthn, and full on hopium, once tokyo rolls around, they reveal that they've been polishing their discipline and avoid uneccessary dry-peaks as much as possible.

Sadly the BR team that i was sure it would flop, only started winning so it could yonk the hope off of me again.
I myself choose DRX and PRX as top 2 but I really want TS to either dethrone DRX or PRX.
I'm kinda annoyed by how much TS' achievements gets brushed aside by "their enemy trolling" excuse even if there's some truth to that.
It's like, let's ignore how you somehow managed to get a win against teams you're heavily not favored to win against.
As if TS just got handed down free wins with their enemy not fighting back and just chilling on spawn or something. They had to work hard to get those wins and I just don't like seeing hard work get so easily brushed aside.
I also just really like darkhorse in stuff like this. It makes everything a lot more interesting when nothing is so predictable that there's almost no point watching any of the games cause you already know the result.

So tired of hearing the same thing over and over again when it comes to TS wins. It's never "they played the better game that series" but "the opponents were trolling" etc etc... People easily brush their achievements away with that one sentence 💔
I mean, to be fair DRX were kinda trying out new stuff and Zest was playing after a really long time. BuZz didn't have enough practice playing duelists and they didn't even call timeouts because the coach wanted stax to improvise by himself. So yeah, many things they were trying out and Team Secret took advantage of all that and ngl, they played brilliantly don't get me wrong. But if DRX were playing seriously then they would've 2-0ed Secret any time of the day

@@AdilKhan-uq2nm But if you think about it, a lot of teams were trying out stuff throughout the season, but we never really hear people throw around "they won because enemy team was trolling" as much as they do with TS matches, it's absurd. TLN were technically trolling too but people still compliment enemy teams on how well they played against them. With TS, people just say "eh enemy team was trolling" then leave it at that. People forget that in-game decisions and on-the-spot adjustments are also part of a game.
True that DRX decided to try something different by having their players adjust on their own and improvise, but if TS took advantage off of that and DRX were unable to push away TS from nipping at them from the cracks, that's also on them. Yeah, maybe DRX may be able to beat TS if they played "seriously" (Why anyone would think they weren't serious just because they were trying out new things is beyond me. I'd rather say "had they played like they usually did"), but that still doesn't change the fact that TS still dealt with the situation really well.
Just to note: my point isn't to say that DRX weren't trying out new things in that series. I'm not denying that. I was speaking more on the fact that people easily dismiss TS victories like this, it just feels disrespectful. Part of esports is working with the hand you're dealt with, and TS still played very well with whatever they were dealt with. But I hardly see people talk about how they approach those rounds where they read enemies very well. Heck even in the discussion on TS vs GE on Lotus, Sideshow just practically ignores all the good Sova + Omen traps they set up that won them rounds, and just decides "eh this comp isn't viable," to which even Balla disagrees with because they DID make it work. TS were discussed practically twice in this whole podcast and for each section they appeared in, the discussion was mostly on their enemies rather than on them who actually won the match. It's like they're not even worth discussing and as a TS fan who has seen this happen again and again, it's just tiring.
