Let's Build ARK Mods Workshop with Garuga | Session 1: Visual Elements

Calling all ARK creators!
If you have always wanted to get into building mods for ARK and sharpening your Unreal Engine 5 - this "Let's Build" workshop by the wonderful Garuga is a great way to get started.
In this 3-session workshop, Garuga will cover the art of creating new creatures for ARK - from animations to physics. Join us live on Saturdays at 10am PST, or watch the VOD on the CurseForge UA-cam channel.
Session 1 covers all the visual elements and "look" of the creature. How to import the character mesh, import animations, and set up the animation blueprint, and other bits such as creating animation montages, creating the physics asset for death ragdolls, materials, etc. This step is important because this is what the player will "see," in the game, and it provides a direct way of communicating to the player what is occurring, as well as providing immersion and entertainment. This is what controls the character's walking, jumping, and swimming. This is important to anyone for game development because this would show a generalized workflow for jumpstarting a character's visual elements in UE5.

It does - I recommend the free Ucupaint addon too for texturing. It's no Substance Painter but can save you some cash and just about does the job
