I was a jet engine tech for 40+ years. I didn't know they came in a box ! Very cool model, would look good on my desk !
Did you ever work on JT-8s and JT-9s early in your career? I worked the assembly floor building them at P&WA for a few years in the late 1970s.
F108
Where can i learn about jet engines
I am mechanical engineer
Want to study about jet engg
Plz someone guid me plz
@@getlost1111 Go to a local airline near you. There is no better thing than jet engines!
@@getlost1111 Have you heard of a search engine?
/They’re easy to use...
Cool but the low pressure compressor and medium-high pressure compressor based on the orientation of the blades should be rotating in opposite directions👀👀
Cameras always show propellers and turbines rotating in the wrong direction due to the camera, not the kit or actual turbine.
@@theresacaron4238 this isn’t about the camera, the blades are actually oriented differently and the little planetary gearbox actually makes them turn in opposite directions.
It's the Stroboscopic (Strobe) effect
You are correct. You can see it well @9:32
Australian turbo. They rotate opposite "down under"
So many people saying this is a turbojet not a turbofan. It sure looks like a low-bypass turboFAN engine to me. It’s a Chinese WS-15 engine for the modern J-20 fighter jet, but without an afterburner section. I believe it is similar to the F-119 low-bypass turbofan engine used in the USAF F-22 fighter jet. It has counter rotating high-pressure and low-pressure sections on coaxial shafts, like the F-119. It’s a two-spool engine. The high-pressure spool has a 1-stage turbine section that takes hot gases from the combustor section and drives the 6-stage, high-pressure compressor. It rotates counterclockwise when viewed from behind the engine. The low-pressure spool’s 2-stage turbine section takes hot gases passed on by the high-pressure turbine and uses that energy to turn the low-pressure compressor/fan stages. The bypass ration is 0.25:1. The low-pressure section rotates clockwise. The 3-stage fan and low-pressure compressor clearly has a path of airflow in which some air bypasses the high-pressure section.
Turbojet engines do not have an driven airflow path that bypasses the combustion chamber.
Its not a low bypass turbofan, its a turbojet. All the air is directed to the low pressure turbine
@@chittychad18wrong, clearly there are splitter shields there😂
Very good nice achvment for new Lerner how to working?
I confess. I am one of those guys that used to build models as a kid. Had planes hanging from the ceiling of my room with my ships sitting on the desk. Lionel trains, models of the human body all of that. First time viewer, I subscribed and I ordered this kit. I build my computers now so I am all setup. Can't wait to get started. Thanks for this video.
Everything doesn’t need to accurate but assembling n watching it is simply Awesome !
Brother You're Latterly Talented
stunning model 👍
Beautiful workmanship
Beautiful!!!
Excellent work!
This feels like an asmr unboxing
This is next level top notch model engine built
Beautiful 😊
satisfying to watch
This is a model of a single spool gas turbine engine from the 1950's. Most modern engines have a high pressure spool (HP compresser/turbine/shaft) and a low pressure spool (LP compresser/turbine/shaft) with the LP shaft inside of the HP shaft.
the box says it's ws-15, the latest Chinese fighter jet engine
the ws-15 is indeed a twin spool engine, but as a scale model, it may have omitted the shaft-in shaft mechanism
Edit: nvm, I think they represented the twin spool by having yellowish shaft for the HP and metal bar for LP, and having gearbox to differentiate the turning speed
It is indeed a two-spool engine, since the planetary gears in the model simulate airflow coupling of the two (shaft-in-shaft mechanism).
great video! Thank you!
I would love a model of a GE CJ610 turbo jet or its military version the J85. So very simple and straightforward and many of us learned on those engines
Love it.....
Thank you for sharing.. Nice patient precision work enjoyable to watch and an excellent finish awesome thumbs up from me 👍✔️
Thank you !!
@@kotascalemodel totally welcome.. I would now like to get one of these models myself I'm in new zealand so I'll have to hunt around. although I am in process of making my own small scale fuel running jet based on the j79 wich is my favourite wich is taking time as I'm hand building no printer or special tools just basic tools
Good job. Visualizing help many people.
Would love to see an axial flow high bypass turbofan model like a CF-6 or a JT9D
Awesome 👍
Looks cool looks 3d printed
Very beautiful sweet jet engine working looking thank u so Mach
impressive
Awesome Video
Nice👍👍
So Cool!
Excellent.
I would just love a full set of 3D printer codes for this model just in case I obtain a metal 3D printer. A scaled up version would be a great project
It surely looks a very complicated mechanism !
It is grate that a Chinese company is manufacturing these models to satisfy the curiosity of jet engine lovers !
👍 nice
fascinating....tks
If they made a model of this quality for the Allison/Rolls-Royce T56 with the gearbox and Hamilton Standard propeller (C-130E/H), I'd buy one tomorrow 😊👍
Spent 14 years in the C-130 community as a mechanic and flight engineer.
Sehr gut
Almost had me crying ha😅
Nice 👍
This is real asmr
Wow 😮rất tuyệt vời bạn ơi cảm ơn bạn đã chia sẻ video này nhé 👍😱❤🔔🔔
Sukses buat anda
I'm buying one! Would be cool if they made a GE J79.
Subscribed ✔️👍
Nice model and very cool but I think they could of been a bit more precise on the fit of all the blades that actually rotate because when you tuned it on the blades were wobbly and that just looks bad.
Hello Mr. Kota! Sorry for the off-topic question. Please tell me how you make covers for your videos? Everything is very clear and detailed. What are the picture parameters, how many dots per inch and what resolution? I will be very grateful! I'm tired of fighting the blurriness. I want clarity. Thank you very much!
Would love to see a Lycoming AGT-1500 kit (Abrams M1)
Modello bellissimo…
LED 광원을 설치하면 더 멋있을듯 합니다.
Any idea how much thrust a working model of similar scale generate? Perhaps we can power the flying cars in our near future with such engines.
And finally you make an exhibition place between electric kitchen stove and coffeecooker and the neighborhood’s glory is perfect.
Good
Transported back to 1957 and my first Meccano set.
Me too!! I had my first Meccano set in 1980 when I was still a wee little boy.
A real engine of that size would be interesting.
I built models when I was a kid. Later in the U.S. Army I repaired turbine engines for helicopters and fixed wing turboprop aircraft.
I’m expected to see a smoke trail goes through those blades and a slow-mo videos of the process like a wind tunnel lab
Amazing but the front bars on the intake are used on turboJETS like the jt3d and those fighters and the concorde. 👀
i am looking at this after drinking a half bottle of wine i feel i would have failed to open the box well done where did i put all those bolts again
That's turbo fan, combustion chamber, nozzle guide vane, compressor, prop blade and everything look so realistic 👍
Hi ! Excellent !! I've got a small question : What do you do with all your models ?? You must have a lot of them ^^
Ça fait toujours du bien de regarder vos vidéos, merci.👍
Merci beaucoup !
Can you please tell me if the motor turns freely by hand, mine is impossible to turn with my fingers. Thanks.
People who say this is a turbojet engine don’t know what they’re talking about. It is a LOW bypass turbofan as used in modern fighter aircraft. HIGH bypass turbofans as used for commercial airliners have that signature very large diameter fan that everyone pictures when they hear‘turbofan’.
All of it seems so unreal❤
How do you do that?
Thank you !
Thank you for posting this video 🎉. You have a new subscriber. Keep up the great work 🎉. Amazing 🤩 work of art 🖼️. I would love ❤️ to see spaceship engines. I’m a big STAR ⭐️ WARS fan. The Razor Crest Spaceship from The Mandalorian. I’m trying to build a pc case. That looks like it. Once again thank you for this amazing video.
Thank you !!
I believe this is a turbojet, not turbofan. But a very realistic and cool model nonetheless!! Would be cooler if there's LED lights to simulate the flames from the combustion chamber! Anyone knows how much does this kit cost?
Its a low-bypass turbofan, the kind used in fighter aircraft (GE F110, PW F100, GE F414 for example). The bypass air is used in the afterburner section to support combustion and for cooling purposes.
At 9:54 you can see the bypass ducts of this low-bypass turbofan. If you click on the links in the description, you will find this kit for sale.
$250.
I just ordered one of those but I ordered the Trent 900, where are the instructions ?
Question: If I made this engine out of metal, would it work?
Is that copper spot on that saint gaudens? Presence of boiling water and baking soda in a cup/bowl upholstered by aluminum foil will remove it. Try it on other coin. This also removes toning on silver, not milk spots.
Actually work as in it moves?
Wow that is really cool. I got to work on TF34's, J79's, F100's and a little bit of PW220's.
OOOOooooooooooo! Dang it! Wheres my credit card?
As a technician at Pratt & Whitney, I would buy one of these. I’m just concerned that I won’t receive exactly what’s shown in the video though.
and İ thought it would work for real at the end.
Waiting to turn it really on....
Looks like the inside of a transmission.
Working is maybe overstating it a bit :)
How much this unit and what model it replica GE/ RR / CFM /PW
And this engine will handle the combustion and flames inside?
Did it go 100,000 rpm?
Very Amejing
Cool, but $249 USD and it looks like all plastic.
I love that. So much. where I can buy? Is there a link?
Product links can be found in the video description section.
Goodnight.
I watched the video on UA-cam about Building a 1/20 Turbofan Engine Model Kit.
I was impressed and I intend to use the KIT to illustrate the work I have to do in the aeronautical mechanical engineering course.
I would like to purchase the KIT and would like to know how to purchase it.
Sincerely,
Mauro Moreira - Brazil.
HELO I NEED 2 KITS OR DEPENDING THE THRUST OF POWER
HERE OR HOW TO ORDER THEM
You could 'simulate' an active engine by just burning some incense in front of the model and using a proper fan to blow the smoke into the model as it spins!
And the accesories section?

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Can you do turbofan engine 1/10 scale model
Güç üretebiliyormu ?
WS15 turbofan engine, isn’t that the new Chinese engine for J20?
マジで買おうか悩み中
It’s such a shame the motor is so noisy - would have been great to have a near silent motor and USB powered
Damn I thought It was a working one
where can I buy this
That should be rephrased to "Build Your Own Turbofan Engine that actually rotates". Obviously it does not work, especially being a cut-away example.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
A couple of these and u can upgrade ur drone
Just finished mine, but cut the wires. Was not interested in it turning. Just static display was desired.
AND HOW TO ORDER IT?
