In South AFrica we cannot get sardines in tins that do not have salt or oil in. So I feed whole, raw frozen sardines, herring or mackeral to my GSD. By feeding them frozen they offer a lot of crunch for the dog but the best benefit is that they will act as a toothbrush. I feed these these whole frozen raw sardines about three times a week. I have noticed that fish is my GSD's favourite food.

I feed this exact brand of sardines to my cats every day to offset their minimal kibble diet. Harris T (grocery store) has been selling these sardines 10 f0r 10 dollars for the past 2 1/2 years. They love this extremely healthy fish, and their coats are shiny and soft. I also buy this fish canned in water because I do not like the oil used in commercial food. I incorporate as much whole healthy meat (what most refer to as human food) in my pet's diets if they are carnivores. Moist is key.

Well looks like my Gaya is super spoiled one 😁She has sardines 3 times a week and she love it!
Not a problem...we give so many other things weekly, sardines just have their "day"
I’ve been doing sardines for my dogs once a week for years, very good for them. I also give them coconut oil. It’s very beneficial as well

Another great video GSM. I eat them too, or I should say choke them down. They are soooo healthy. I think you hit on a great point when adding stuff to the diet do it in small doses. Two little sardines for a big dog. When I tell people all the stuff we add to our mini aussies food then they try it and come back and say "it gave him the runs" then I ask how much did you give and the answer is always way too much!

I tried sardines on my two dogs. My female took it and immediately dropped it. She wasn’t sure what it was. 😳 Then she rolled on it, like dogs do on cow manure 😂. Finally, she did eat it. The male wasn’t sure about it either but ate it.

Does the joint supplement replace Dasaquin shews?
These vitamins and joint supplements are all I use. Dasaquin has a soybean aspect to it's ingredients...not a fan of what they spray on soybean fields. Jus sayin...GSM
