I know that Chopper gets seriously disrespected with his bounties but I was legit more angry that Franky was identified as the Thousand Sunny. I mean what kind of idiots from the World Government confuses a cyborg with a pirate ship.

I maintain the only reason Mihawk spared Buggy was because he knew Shanks would be upset if he did kill him.

I think the reason Mihawk has a higher bounty is because he was known as the Marine Hunter. And given he's 43yo, this is likely relatively recent (in the last 10-20 years). So he is now 1. the world strongest swordsman, 2. That used to duel with Shanks frequently, 3. That's now a yonko commander, 4. That used to hunt Marines, 5. AND IS NOW PARTLY IN CHARGE OF A MARINE BOUNTY HUNTING COMPANY!! So he's a massively larger threat than Buggy because of his past infamy and his reputation as a swordsman. It still feels weird, but it makes sense if you think about it.

I agree Luffy was robbed but it makes complete sense. The WG the entire time we've been dealing with them have been downplaying Luffy's bounty so he doesn't attract attention.

Mihawk’s bounty was unfrozen after the Warlord system was abolished. So it was probably already that high before becoming a Warlord.
Actually Oda said so himself he regret adding Crocodile and Enel too early, but since the war Crocodile has been getting alot of one ups and tho i dont have proof id say he either Katakuris level or stronger based off of his bounty

I know it would be crazy if hancock was in the straw hat crew, but even still, it's the most logical choice for hancock since it's the only way to protect both her and amazon lily from outsiders using luffy's emperor status.
It's funny cause on one hand Chopper's bounty is bullshit... on the otherhand I think he had the largest increase cause it's 10X his old bounty?! Gotta find the little wins?
Also I agree with you bout Luffy's bounty should be bigger, but the best argument I heard was that the World Government is trying to downplay Luffy's involvement since they know he's the real threat.
Nami did great too, from $66m to $366m, with God Ussop being $500m, good wins for the weak trio all round really

I low key think Franky is getting the same treatment as they wanted to give Luffy. By suppressing his bounty and even his picture! I believe Franky knows the blue prints that he destroyed. His bounty should be even with Robins imo but again, the WG wants to suppress that shit. Totally agree that a lot of what Brook does, doesn't get seen and therefore doesn't attribute to his bounty. Plus when it comes to vs other 400m bounties, I think Brooke has biggest issue is his weak durability. @@Grimbear13

I like the new method of doing the recap episodes because it prevents them from having to do as much filler. One Piece is known for the least amount of filler amongst pretty much all anime and I'm really hoping we keep it that way 😁

I’m glad you finally posted, and yeah, I agree that because you read the manga, your reaction isn’t as good as before you were still catching up, but like I said when you caught up, I’m not going to unsubscribe just because you will be posting spoilers from the manga because I still want to see you react to the parts that weren’t in the manga, but as far as the next episode, it wasn’t anything we haven’t already seen, the New Year’s episode taking off into Egghead Arc (whatever the heck that is 😅) seems to be the most hyped up part of One Piece coming through, so I definitely want to see you react to it whether or not you already know what is going to happen or not.
Kaido and big moms total was 8.9bill so the 3 captains who downed them got more divided by 3. Even 1.5b woulda been very generous for captain useless mid tho. I think it was a wig ploy to see if they could get kid or law to try and kill Luffy mad they didn’t get emperor status but gassing them up like oh same bounty were close in strength 😂

Think Mihawk’s is so high because he regularly clashed with shanks (who the navy know the history on) as well as having a reputation as a marine killer in his early days. Can’t blame em for giving a deliberate marine targeting dude a high bounty. If anything a lot of fallen marines’ families were probably furious when he was given amnesty as a warlord

I dont get it why people still didnt understand why buggy fit the criteria of an emperor so let me explain the criteria is as following: huge bounty, teritory, and somekind of influence. I mean he take over the underworld since the fall of doflamingo how is that not grand? It's not Coby's haki but similarly to Luffy. He holds no sexual desires. Its more of a pure or innocence thing than a power thing.

So I think even the WG with their ineptness realize that Mihawk is still a bigger threat by himself than Buggy. Buggy gets a high bounty for the organization as a whole, whereas Mihawk's bounty is for him solo. If you remove Buggy from Cross Guild the WG knows he's not as much as a threat than Mihawk who was killing the Navy before becoming a Warlord.

I dont think that Mihawk can kill Buggy but Croco Boy is a different story.(He could just drain all the liquid from his body i doubt he is immune to that).

I feel like Franky totally got jipped. He beat a tobi roppo in a fight and he's bounty is still lower than Sasaki's and Usopp's (though God Usopp is a threat because he has followers lol) but Franky's bounty is still less than half of Robin's. Sure she is the only person the WG knows can read Poneglyphs but they also know that Franky had the blueprints to building a weapon that can counter Pluton. Even though he destroyed it, how do they know he didn't memorize it or scanned and saved a copy somewhere in his cyborg body? Give the guy at least 500 million! show some respect, WG!
Also, Luffy should be half of the total bounties of Big Mom and Kaido since he took down 1 yonko on his own and the other half should be split between Law and Kidd. You can argue Luffy had help from the scabbards and Yamato wearing Kaido down but I don't count that. Just because they gave Kaido a papercut or stubbed his toe is not enough to kill or knock him out. It should have been Luffy 4-4.5 Bil, Kidd and Law 2-2.5 Bil each. Especially since they recognize Luffy as a Yonko and not the other 2. yeah yeah, we know the WG is trying to down play him but shouldn't they make Law and Kidd Yonko's too to downplay him?

Because then you knock out the one keeping the monster trio alive through their shenanigans. I mean he's probably 90% of the reason Zoro pulled through Thriller Bark when nothing happened. He managed to keep Sanji alive during Fishman Island and saved Luffy from the poison in Wano. Just saying, take out Chopper and the strongest Straw hats would have gotten themselves killed by now.
