It's good to protect the country from the uncontrolled migration. Lithuania is lovely and very developed, so people should be moving there via legal path, and make sure they're ready to add tangible value
Please dear poster. . The rules working on whar you study at school... Does it affect unskilled workers with no degree? Jobs like house keeper or factory workes?
I think the last policy where they say you can't work in a field except you have the degree in the field is very unfavorable to foreigners(Lithuanians can work without the degree in the field). It's possible they are having a large influx of foreigners and are trying to control this, or people just make up work experience without having the necessary work experience thereby not functioning effectively at work. So they are probably trying to curtail this by bringing qualified people to work.
Labas kindness..... Hope you are doing well ! I have two questions: One is l am from Asia last 4 months back I have come at Lithuania as a construction worker, but I am a certified hotelier may l change my job construction worker to hotel job. And no two is after 2 Year's finishing my trp have to go back to my country of origin and apply for new one isn't. If that please let me know. I will be your precious answer. Thanks in advance.
I think these are very backwards policies... I wonder what made the government to implement such obvious obstacles signalling potential immigrants to stay away from this country... I blame all those Bolt drivers and Bolt/Wolt food deliverers who can neither speak Lithuanian or English... Too many complaints have reached gov-institutions from people who were not able to communicate with these workers...
@@melodyowusuwaaduah716 Not necessarily, They're mostly coming from the Ex-Soviet Middle Asian countries like Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, etc. They think knowing Russian is sufficient for them to survive here - and it is to some extend, but not if you want to work and live here properly and legally. Then at least you have to speak good English.
@baktom I hear you for sure. I think one yet, again, these policies might change. The 2025 laws don't seem easier. Let's see if the government will achieve the goals they have for immigration. Btw did you move back to LT? or how did you hear about Bolt drivers ?
@@KindnessAniogbo Oh yes, I've been living in Vilnius since summer 2021 and had to experience these Bolt drivers first hand myself. Gladly I know Russian so it wasn't a problem for me but my two younger brothers don't speak Russian so they're always stressed out when they order these services.
They see what happening in Sweden and now in Norway and how migrants cause crime and crime gang rise . There already alot migrants here and if its continue it will soon too many of them.
The new immigration changes are confusing and could cause the country to lose skilled immigrants. Governments should understand that skilled people are not desperate. After finishing my master's degree at the Medical University, I started an online business, earning at least twice the average salary in Lithuania. I paid taxes and contributed to Sodra, but when I applied to extend my residence permit, immigration said that self-employment is not a stable job. Even though they could see my regular income, they still asked me to show €11,000 in savings. Instead of accepting my steady income, they wanted me to ask someone for money. Because of this, I decided to leave Lithuania and move to Poland, where I can live, work, and run my business without these problems. Skilled and educated people have options. Europe is really losing to the US and countries like Austrailia when it comes to acquiring the best skills. What sense deos it make to create all these hurdles which will mostly affect highly qualified people. I left and many like me will leave cus we are not desperate.

If we are being objective the laws are okay and normal.
Nothing drastic or out of place
I think there are pros and cons to all the laws as always, and these are no exceptions. But says the one who abandoned us oo 😁
