Chinese-owned BYD Auto is the world’s top-selling electric vehicle maker. Inside its factory in Shenzhen, a vehicle rolls off the production line every 90 seconds. China is aiming to be the global leader in electric vehicles, as part of its ambitious “Made in China 2025” initiative. The South China Morning Post got a rare look at BYD’s production line.

Isn't that more than enough to commute to work, shop at supermarket, get your kids from school back home, and visit your grandma? Unless you wanna use it for touring or racing, but there are better, more suitable cars for that

Tesla is moving its factories to China, some racist Americans who say I will not buy Chinese cars will they refrain from buying Tesla, I really do not understand these people I feel they are abandoned and hateful and racists are ignorant and disgusted at the same time I do not have hatred towards anyone but I see them and hear them fighting phones The Chinese are like Xiaomi and Opo. If someone asks about his opinion about the Chinese phones, he starts laughing and says I am an American. I don’t buy a Chinese phone, and he is proud of the iPhone, which is a Chinese phone and it is made in China. The problem of these people is not with the brand but with China as a strong industrial country and with the Chinese people. As an active working people, unlike them, they hate China. They have an inferiority complex (everyone better than me is my enemy)

@@manojkumar-jt3fw US and Japan took an entire century to industrialize. China went from being a poor backward country to a space-age economic and technologic great power in a few decades. Nobody in history has achieved such a feat.

What they need is a solar panel on the roof of the car. It will extend the range while the car is driving.
Even 300km on a single charge is reasonable. Like one is not going to drive intercity on a daily basis. If they do PUBLIC TRANSPORT which is very convenient in China.
but at least their factory is very organize and seems legit safe car.

The most important part is *safety concerns* . Going electric isn't a bad, unless battery become a problem, like pollutions or people in general doesn't know how to handle it and just throw away at any place that they've find convenience. China got that kind of problems ( like share bicycle in China that they've got a whole fields of it stack up like mountain!)
You are wrong, China is badly lack of resources, so any piece of paper they will recycle it. Battery, you have no idea how expensive they are, no one will loose that piece.

BYD is making low end, low cost EVs. Comparing BYD to Tesla is like comparing Toyota to BMW. If you wanna compare, NiO vs Tesla would be fairer. Warren Buffet has a stake in this company BYD. What makes a few nameless editors at SCMP more qualified at evaluating the potential of the company than the legendary investor?

People want to travel long distances . They do not want to lose a whole day charging their car just get to their destination, get the picture.
Jjsje Yhshejh it does not take a whole day to charge. Teslas take 40minutes on a supercharger to gain 310miles!. If you travel 300miles you will have a lunch/dinner break... during which you can charge. Superchargers are located in or near malls/restaurants.
Also. If you charge overnight. Have a good night sleep and wake up with 310miles i am sure you will arrive with your very long distance destination ..needing perhaps one charge in between during lunch or none at all

Jjsje Yhshejh watch the news. Tesla vehicles have the highest safety ratings by both nhtsa and ihis. Also, the company is not going bankrupt. They just announced 300million profit dollars for Q3 yesterday and 6.9billion dollars of revenue just for this quarter. All that money in 3months! From 100k cars
Comparison. Ford which made over 1million cars in the same period earned just 900million profit... 10times more cars for 3times more profit..
