If you dodge right before the roar, you will not get stunned during the roar due to the i-frames. It will also give you a chance to get some hits in before he starts attacking again if you dodge towards him.
Converted thralls have higher possible stats, but they also cannot respawn unless you save them to a mysterious tablet AFTER killing the lowest level sabertooth and upgrading your mask. Hope that helps!
@@howdykyle9964 Yeah, I didn't even think about respawning; so that makes sense. We're casual players so we have the data taken at .5 and the damage dished out at 1.5 - but even with thralls doing better damage, not sure I could have kept them alive.... :) Thanks!
@@gronkdamage Welcome! As an addition, thralls have a chance of losing red perks every 5 levels and a guaranteed new green perk at every 10 levels. So some that look bad might turn out really well after a few levels!
I think you made this fight much harder on yourself with twin swords. Using something like Spear which doesn't inflict bleed would make it so he wouldn't roar on you and is quick enough to get in hits. A bit more about the mechanics that you didn't cover... When he's walking around you, walk up and do a simple attack to get him to dodge. He will then follow up with a pounce that you can easily dodge and follow up with a quick hit for damage. When he is running around you, he's trying to get your back side. Quickly turn to the opposite side to expose your back and then turn back around to face him. This will give you enough time to see where he's pouncing from and you can dodge again and get in a quick attack. If you don't inflict the status then you can rinse and repeat until death. Unless you miss your dodges, there is no chance of getting hit with this strategy.
Not timed - but if you move out of his area, he resets. My friend started the fight - I survived; but he died and respawned (nearby) - the tiger reset to full while I was fighting him :/
I just fought him almost died and my companion did die I realize during the fight that the blades are great but use the first attack in the tree not the attack like what s used in here it takes to long at least in my case it did so i switched and was able to kill it much faster and easier or maybe I just got lucky lol
I'm trying him solo and it's not happening. I don't have a 120 DB, so just 90 with everything in damage and in iron gear. I have the torch, so I can't die, not really.
The difficulty spike from zone to zone is intense. Been loving the long grind of this game

What difficulty are you on, show us the elite bear lvl 35, west of hill. He rekt me today with npc too 3-4 bites.

I prefer dual blades myself - and the spinny attack + the bleed dot makes for a ton of damage...
Are the boss fights timed? I fought the first saber and after a while he would completely reset and be at full health again. I did manage to kill him.
