Mindless overconsumption. They’re manipulating you to buy things you don’t even need. This is literally how the poor stay poor. Not only that, horrific working conditions.
Oh my goodness If you feel that deeply about it, you’d be better off launching an online campaign, on your own UA-cam channel and your own social media platforms. Start a petition, create awareness videos, lobby government to make retail and import changes If you are sick of poor people staying poor, talk to the law makers, the policy creators. If you hate temu so much, do something about it Coz virtue signalling in random comments on random UA-cam channels is just… a waste of your time if you really want to make a difference.
@@fluffy-MuffinThank you so much for posting this ! Every time I post a msg about defending Carla’s Temu hauls they are taken down by YT !! I agree 100% with everything you say 👍👏
Nice hoodie, and love the little ducks! I did a trial Temu run and ordered various things which included a very strange net item that I have no idea what it is. I must have been keen on it, cos I bought two! The label is damaged, so I can't search using the item code. Oh well..... My best buy is a strong net bag which I am using to hold my trainers when they need to go in the washing machine.
Some things from Temu are alright but when I ordered I found products differed in size and appearance from their website so I wouldn't order again as it was a waste
Hi Carla even if you leave the windows open some it's still too hot for the dogs in the car it's the air there's no air Carla it's been proven they can still die proven by a vet xx
I’m not sure if you know about the working conditions and pay of the employees. Plus how toxic a lot of the items are, which has been published lately 😢
Literally everything you buy in the shops is made in China! Do you think they have different working conditions to temu sellers? We walked down the high street in Aldeburgh yesterday, and all the shops even expensive well known ones are packed full of Chinese that! We make nothing here anymore, all our industries have gone. Sad!!
@@PamTaylorBarkerNot only everything we have is pretty much coming from china. But do you honestly think our working conditions are any better? We are treated like slaves for little pay enough to barely survive. But by all means let’s judge china. One big difference is that in china things are a lot less expensive so it’s easier get by. So which country is worse here?! I wonder 🤔
Just about everything I see on Amazon, home bargains, B&M, and FB selling pages I have seen on Temu and shein at a lower price. If no one bought anything and all those factories in China closed what would the workers do for money. Yes I do think they should be treated right and pay a decent wage but a few people not buying isn't going to change that.
Carla, anything that’s on your video is very enjoyable to watch. I do buy from Temu. Inexpensive and most everything fits and works well! I buy their clothes. I’m down to a 2x in their clothes. Not sure if I hit 1x yet but figured I’ll buy a couple of blouses and try to get into them. The 2x fits, they’re loose and flowy . That would not be possible without that effective program, Slimming World. I’ve tried calorie counting numerous times. I fall off of it. But that’s ok, this one works, I root you on following the Calorie Crusher thing. I hit a lot of speed, some free, proteins and Syns are mainly condiments. I stopped the junk foods and fast foods. This morning I’m at 227.4 lbs or 16.2 stones. Target is 10 stones. I’m giving this my best heave Ho, yet. Trying to keep it tasty and interesting. ❤
To everybody who slams people with Temu hauls: Where do you think the cheap products in Dollarstores, Poundland, kik/tedi/acion markt (for the continental viewers) and a whole lot of other (more expensive) stores come from? I find criticism like that hypocritical because it is very unlikely that you know where products sold in stores are wholesale bought from. You would have to be very diligent to find out the origin of any given product. Sometimes it is not possible. And, no I do not endorse overconsumption, buying on Chinese websites etc. but I dare people on the moral highground to prove that they have no Chinese products/cheaply and dubiously produced items/100 % sustainable items at home.
I think it's more that in the case of Shein and Temu etc. the items are proven to utilise child labour. I agree that many cheap items in stores likely come from the same source, however perhaps people feel that some of the blame is shifted to the corporation in these instances (often corporations say they hold ethical / ecological standards that the public expect them to adhere to). I also agree that everyone will have products made in China, if not simply because for many items the rest of the world does not do the raw manufacturing (many plastics for example). And there's nothing inherently wrong with that, but I think going out of your way to buy from child labour sourced products may be a different matter because then it is a decision made in your own conscious. Just a thought, not looking to argue aha
@@cranberry8858 I understand, but to pretend that big (trading) corporations are a safeguard against unethical production is ...unrealistic (for want of a better word). They want to buy cheap, they want to make a profit and on the whole do not care (there are exceptions, but not many). Do you feel better buying at Amazon than Shein or AliExpress or TEMU because they do ...what exactly better than these companies? And it's better to blame the big corporations because then you do not feel as responsible? And again, I don't endorse these websites, I try (not always successfully) to avoid overconsumption; I just think it is questionable to point fingers at certain shops or people who show hauls from these shops because only very few people can claim to know where the products they buy in shops (or on any given website) come from. And industry and retail has a vested interest in making it as little transparent as possible because that is cheaper, makes it more confusing for the consumer and easier to mislead people. After all it's easy to say you have certain policies if nobody can prove otherwise.
Great reply, Carla. These snowflakes, who whine about " consumerism", "slave labour in factories" ( when even Designer goods are produced by the EXACT SAME factories) "spending too much money" and other endless complaints, need to stop moaning and 'sticky beaking' and just get on with their own lives.
I had a car that was 18 months old and Just wasn't right, it also stalled twice which as an automatic it shouldn't. Oh go on then we will take look said the garage not believing me. Later that day I had a call to say it needed a new engine due to a manufacturing fault ! AS if that wasn't enough when I got it back it still wasn't right , losing power when it changed gears . Oh you have just lost confidence in it said the garage but we will take a look. Turns out when they put the new engine in they knocked the cables out of the gearbox. Vindicated. What is it with mechanics not believing women !
