Dr. Barbara Fox | Rudra Veena | Raag Bhimpalashi

Prof. Barbara Fox has been a Professor of Linguistics in the US for 37 years. She has published books and articles on topics related to grammar and social interaction.
She began her musical journey at the age of 7 with western classical piano lessons; when she was 12, she discovered classical guitar, which was her passion for many years. In 2013 she took up classical North Indian flute with Venugopal Hegde, and in 2020 started learning Dhrupad with Madhuvanti Pal. She has been learning Rudra Veena for six months.

Shrutis are a fixed part of a Raag but they come out by improvisation.
