  • Raag Kirwani has always been a favourite of mine, I have played on multiple occasions, what makes this one different is that, here I let my full craziness out.
This Raga has the perfect blend of happiness and sadnesses, longing and indifference, calm and crazy. This raag can show all the rasas in my opinion.
I tried to bring the best of both Gharanas that I stidied in here in this exploration. And I’m done trying to fit into by what they say a Rudraveena player should sound like. So… here’s what I think I would want to sound like, honest, loving, welcoming and unbiased 😇😇😇

There is something magical and enthralling about this performance. I think it's one of the best you have shared so far. The performance feels very "alive" and the music is extremely captivating. I wish I could explain it better; you seem very inspired and free. It's awesome!

Beautiful playing, and your comments, "…here I let my full craziness out…I'm done trying to fit into…, etc. etc.," are inspirations for us all!

Your rendition of this Raag is so beautiful, both your Gharanas come through with beauty and sincerity. Others will try and force you into a box, but only the truly brave ones break the mold to build their own box, most are too scared to leave the comfort of what they are used to especially if it challenges them!! Wonderful performance sending good vibes and best wishes:))) 🙏💐🌹✨

Is that murti Kali, with her foot on Shiva? If so, yes sister, unleash the chaos through your discipline! I know zero about Indian classical music, just what the instruments are called. I approach it as an encounter of the psyche. This is what is important. This rendition made me cry and rejoice. Dhanyavaad from South Africa for bringing this to non-Indians as well. Whether one is Astika or Nastika or a modern-day Ajivika, there's food for the soul/psyche here. I have listened to other rudra veena players, but your playing I enjoy the most. Both your artistry and this intriguing instrument are underrated, in my honest opinion.

Thank you for sharing this performance. I began taking sitar lessons from Ustad Ikhlaq Hussain last year, but I have an appreciation of all Indian instruments. Its so wonderful that such an ancient instrument is still alive and remains largely unchanged from its original form. I think it gives a great insight into our musical past.
