    I have one LL in my garden too! Love hydrangeas! How are they doing now? Nice to see updates next spring. ❤️🙏🇨🇦

    I am not sure what kind of Hydrangea I have, I just moved it because it has struggled in place for 20 years, I opted for a full sun raised bed that I can add acid and help it flourish. Keep your fingers crossed for it.

    I hope they stay small for you! I know they say 3-5 feet but from what ive seen they have a tendency to max out at 6 feet. I have a LimeLight (not the small one) that measures 8 and a half feet tall! Our neighbors love it because it peeks over our privacy fence and they get 2 feet worth of blooms each year!

      S.J. Lamb I almost hope it does that for me to completely fill in that area! 😅💜
      I’m sure yours is beautiful!

      @@MichiganGardenGal How do you size control to around 3-5 feet?

    • @MichiganGardenGal
      @MichiganGardenGal  4 роки тому

      Ka La That is a great question! Since these are considered panicle hydrangeas they will grow on new wood. If you would like to size control this shrub you could easily prune it down to about a foot at the very end of fall. In the spring it will flush out new growth!
      If you want it to get to it’s full size leave it be and let it do it’s thing🤗.

      In my zone 4/5, they tend to be on the “smaller” side...(my hope)....but I have seen them as big as 4-5 ft tall & wide (or bigger) in warmer zones. Fingers crossed 🤞 they stay 4-5 ft! 🤩

    That's exactly where I just put my little limes last fall, only I got the small 4.5 inch pots. They're going to take forever to grow big, lol

    Will have to keep this in mind...I wonder how my deer friends (grrrrrrrrrr) will enjoy them? ( I will never forgive them for eating all my hostas! At least 50)

    Mine have already grown out of the spot you are planting them, only second year. In our heat and humidity, you never water the leaves because of disease.

    Saw this video a couple days ago (maybe a week now) and I put it into my watch later queue so I am back now. Great job planting the little lime Hydrangea's. They are going to look beautiful in those locations. I really do like the landscape rocks also, very nice! New Subscriber and loyal supporter. Hope you have a good Labor Day!
