Man as a Colts fan this is a breath of fresh air to watch. The kid just has not played enough and has shown too much to give up on just yet. Next year is going to be a huge year for him. Were gonna either see him improve or the writing may be on the wall. He's gotta stay healthy though as well.

Something to keep in mind is that he actually didn't have an offseason to improve. He spent the offseason rehabing his shoulder. He wasn't really cleared to throw full throttle until training camp. At the end of the day, he needs more reps and to stay healthy.

I want this dude to do well but this is his last season in the NFL if he has another sub 50% completion and sub 65 passer rating. Dude is flashy, yes. But it doesn’t even out. Next season will be the 3rd season in a row where the colts backup quarterback is better than the starter.

Honestly, as a Colts fan who has watched every second of Anthony Richardson, I agree with some of your points. He does need reps, and he needs time to grow. However, this man is not mature. He thought it was okay to tap out and sit on the sideline because he was tired. His mental game isn’t there yet.
This is a guy who faked being hurt just to scare Colts fans, only to quickly jump up like nothing was wrong. He may have God-given abilities in terms of body size, speed, and athleticism, but his mental approach isn’t ready for him to be a franchise quarterback. When your team has to come to you and explain the standards of playing in the NFL, that’s a problem.
Plus, the best ability is availability. This is a results-driven league where billion-dollar corporations don’t have the patience to wait. Honestly, I can see Anthony Richardson becoming a star quarterback, but it might take a path similar to Geno Smith’s. He was thrown into the fire, bounced around the league, learned a lot, and eventually shined when given the opportunity.
As a Colts fan, I truly hope the best for the team and for Anthony Richardson. But I don’t think he’s ready yet. Honestly, he could benefit from a couple more years of development.
P.S. Amazing video and I actually enjoyed the background music that kept my attention. You are made to do this man!

You're absolutely right that he needs more time, and that it would be premature to give up on him, as some people have wanted to do since the day he was drafted. As you correctly observed, there are QBs that come into the league with WAY more experience, and even THEY need time to develop. He needs another 17-34 games to truly know what he can be.

I'm personally a Saints fan, but my friend is a Colts fan and he sent me this.
Anthony Richardson can be great. This video is very well put together and has great understanding of what's going wrong with his development. He also just needs better coaching, as Shane hasn't been great. Not terrible, but not great.
If he doesn't work out in Indy, I would absolutely take him in New Orleans. Especially if we get a good new coach that can develop. We've seen guys like Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield, etc. break out on the right team. I hope that team is the Colts for AR, but the NFL is an impatient league.
I think you should do Spencer Rattler next.

AR can’t even do the bare minimum that is required of an NFL quarterback. Complete 50% of your passes, stay healthy for a season, have a good work ethic. Not tapping out in the middle of a drive. I think he’s a bust, I hope I’m wrong but, he hasn’t shown us anything. Yeah he’s athletic, yeah he can make a good throw but, what good is that if he can’t even do the basic easy stuff?

You can tell benching changed, giving him the idea that he didn't actually lock down the starting job.
He played much better post-benching, but still needs to improve. Taggart mentions where his improvements need to be made, but to act like he hasn't shown anything is ridiculous

Remember, the majority of fans bought into this nonsense of reps all he needs is reps. We rushed him to be wha he clearly wasnt and isnt ready to be.

It will be an important year 3 for Richardson. He really needs to take care of his growth. I would say the Colts are not an ideal and stable environment at this juncture. Put another way he has to do it despite this bad team. He needs to respond faster on plays. This will avoid those wrestling matches with the defense and forced scrambles and throws on the fly. Work on the mechanics and plant for throws. if he just focuses on that he will get better results. The injuries worry me. Get the ball out of your hands faster and you should cut down on those unpredictable hits running more than needed.

    The honest conversation is -
What percentage of games has he been available for.
This dude averages 2 to 6 games and then misses 2 to 14
He's a running quarterback that gets hurt running the ball.
You absolutely cannot have that on top of his terrible completion percentage and his more interceptions and touchdowns.
    And his poor work ethic.
Keeping him is bad for the team you think his injuries are going to get better with age?
No an injury is always right around the corner with this dude.
He's the youngest quarterback in the league but yet he who is the most injured. You going to play the sky pay him and then an injury is always one play away.
I can't listen to the positives on this hes a bust.
More players don't work out that are drafted then do this dude is nowhere near Cam Newton or Josh Allen
