Nope! Not buying anything that way. Does the robot arm account for items possibly getting crushed when poured into the "collection" space by the auto door? AND what I suspected would happen did! The door closed too soon. Does someone have to buy something else to get the rest of their order? What happens if the item purchased falls out of the basket as the robot is picking it off the shelf or if the basket is dropped by the arm? The whole idea is for automation. Is there even a human somewhere close to help? 🤔
5:59 We see the FLAW in this machine. If you are not quick enough you are FOIRCED to buy more. There should be a sensor or something to know that there are more items in the door
Thank you for sharing 🙏 I want that wafer with chocolate filling 😋 The doll and the tote were about $30.00, the rest were quite affordable. It's good to know that some doors close fast. We don't have this over here where I live, so I appreciate the video showing the use of robots. 🍀
The irony of a handmade product sold by a machine clerk. I love how the empty baskets just bounce to the floor sometimes. The future is here and it is kinda mediocre and really dangerous.
Cool vending machine! I hope they work on how the robot arm store the empty baskets though cause it might become a problem if they end up littering the floor inside since it seems there are also shelf items close by and the arm might have trouble getting them. Also that's troublesome if there's a time limit on getting your purchases and there's no way to fix it and no one to ask for help. I thought it was cool that you could buy multiple items at once but that time limit on the door means you're better off not getting a ton of items.
i used this machine before to buy a milk tea AND THE MACHINE MISSED THE CHUTE!! what dropped in the chute was the basket the drink was in instead while my drink rolled around on the floor inside... i accidentally left the basket in the middle of the auto door, and the door CRUSHED the plastic basket. it was honestly terrifying 😭😭
Even as far as novelty robots go, this one is awful! I sure hope nothing fragile is stocked considering how it dumps the items. In the time it takes to collect one or two items, a human retail worker would've already scanned through your shopping and there'd be less risk of loosing a finger trying to collect your shopping!
Do health and safety guidelines matter in a automated store? I mean someone obviously comes in to restock goods and maintenance would need to routinely fix the robot. Genuine question by the way. I wonder if we'll eventually see workers rights for robots in the far off future. XD
Interesting but they need to restock more often. The freezer was nearly empty, a lot of items were sold out and the item basket bin was full to overflowing. Send in the humans!
As if all-beverages all-desserts vending machine wasn't enough, now we get a whole store vending machine that has merch, canvas bags, and edibles like a real proper convenient store. At this point I'm just gonna wait for a house ownership certificate vending machine or a vehicle vending machine
Well, Carvana has what they call 'car vending machines'. Tall parking garage-type structures full of cars and an elevator for the higher ones. Not sure how you buy a car from them, but it seems like a similar delivery.
Yeah unfortunately it didn't have a sensor where it supposed to detected for customers hand in a way. Very not efficient if you're planning to buy too much items in one go. Any unsupervised children could get serious hurt with this.
The tote bag is definitely worth the price. As for the door, it should limit a number of items to be dispense in case there isn’t enough time to take out. Alternatively, place a sticker and advise customer to order eg; 3 items maximum. If not, program to auto open again if touches items or hand. It could place sensor if the item is there and door remain open until it is taken away. There are a lot of options for the vending door to be program. Love your reviews @dancingbacons
Machine should have been programmed to have you take each item out one by one. As you're taking the item out, the machine arm goes and gets the next item.
overly complicated for what the machine can do tbh. Plus throwing items into the shopping basket is a VERY dumb idea in the first place. There're so many good designs out there to choose from, why take the one with the highest overhead, the lowest performance and highest defect potential?
wow, that door. i guess the company did not expect someone to buy so many things at once, also that door is a big health issue. bad machine a better solution would be small holes in bottom of the door, and pins beneath chute that lock it in place so people can't open it, rather than the giant pressure that can crush hands and items.

These things are a nice idea, but are clearly more of a novelty than viable for real usage. Ironically, all these seem to do is make convenience stores inconvenient simply because of how long it takes to grab your items.
