My personal favorite fun tidbit about Neuvillette is the fact that dude just casually got himself a reshaped fake constellation so that his daughters can have fun reading his fortune. Because a constellation that reflects its owner cannot be used for that, as we know from Mona. Peak dad behavior.
@@The_original_one My understanding of them saying that he came to his own "fate" is that he can just decide it for himself, because he exists outside of Celestia's fate system. He has no fate preordained by the Heavenly Principles, he can choose.
People call me crazy because I say water bottles from different brands are taste different, but then Neuvillette exists.. he can be my water tasting buddy.
@@lagrangewei different regions, different mineralization, doesn't need to be a bad thing. A region near the sea might have water w more sodium, a region with soil rich on iron might have water w a more metallic taste.
It's so funny to look back when we were all wondering what Scylla's deal was and when he died, meanwhile the guy is just stuck in the ocean, waiting for someone to untie him.
19:10 - this video was recorded a year ago which is proof that Arnold is and always has been Il Capitano's #1 glazer. We should all strive to be as devoted.
zhongli: (calls traveler a witness) traveler: 🙄yeah we gotta see everything neuvillette: (calls traveler a witness) traveler: 😳go hydro dragon go though of course, this could be because of the change in context, especially when zhongli's statement feels like a request to remain passive and just watch everything happen, especially cause he says it when the traveler (and the player) had less knowledge than they do now. neuvi's statement, meanwhile, sounds like he's asking you to accompany him while he fucks the heavenly principles up and we get the gist of what he means. neuvi's such a cool character, we all love the hydro dragon to bits
forget all the lore the ones where Neuvillette is roasting the archon and is wheezing like a tea kettle are still my favorites :D Ray Chase is just perfect in his role
People saying how he's protective of Nahida are funny to me like... guys no. He literally says he WILL put her on trial just like the others. He respects her work and resilience but she's not a special case. He will put her on trial and when he does he's going to be impartial as he always is.
Zhongli spent thousands of years going through the ringer before finally entering his retirement. Now he's got to worry about a full-fledged Dragon who wants the smoke. Guy can't catch a break. At least he'll go easy on Nahida. Everyone loves Nahida. No choice.
yee, zhongli isn't exactly clean himself. he still partook in archon war and killed bunch of Gods and possibly humans too. even tho his first story about Havria proofed he wasn't exactly evil but framed as such, war is still a war. we don't know the story of other Gods in Liyue. i am not convinced the God from Chenyu Vale who were followed by Fujin and her "adepti" friends was evil but that God still got killed in Archon War and those three had to bow down to Rex Lapis. which caused rift between the three "adepti" eventually. zhongli is as sus as venti and i am not convinced they have clean hands.
@@0nkrul in Zhongli's defense, his whole point is being incognito and not revealing his identity. Neuvillette would've immediately called him out even with people around and spoil his retirement. It's probably less of being scared of a fight and more worried about being exposed.
My favorite part about the Vision line where Neuvillette disses Venti and Zhongli is that his laughter is treated differently in every language. In English he does the kettle wheeze before stopping himself, in Japanese it's a full on chuckle and the next lines are full of sass, in Chinese it's just "heh" and in Korean he doesn't even make it through the previous sentence before laughing.
I've been waiting for this, the best Male Character for me as if right now, from his character story there are many things that slightly change our view of the existing lore from before
I'm running with the idea that visions are an automatic phenomenon (possibly even Furina's since I don't remember where the idea that Neuvilette knowingly gave it to her comes from). The Vision line is about how humans are _claiming_ visions, after all. Celestia set up the system to hand out visions but for each individual vision, it's all about the desires of the vision bearer to-be. I don't think Neuvi would be all that keen if it was Celestia in charge of that.
If we ever go against Celestia, I want Neuvillette to show up, kick the door open and walk in like the king he is with banger OST. On the other hand, imagine we go against Celestia and he'll be doing paperwork while sipping on water😭😂
@@sara_s1737 idc about celestia. I want him to judge ei. She is the only archon who is spared without any guilt in her mind and without any redemption for her sins and actions. Like not even paimon talks shit about her. She treats ei better than childe and childe never wanted to kill us
The absolute pettiness of him when he organized that water tasting party is just amazing. "You think I have no taste? Let's see." Also, I don't think rain always represents his feelings, cause there's also regular weather patterns. Maybe it rains because the universe wants to comfort him when he's sad, not as a direct representation of his feelings. Who knows? Yeah, it's the Descenders... It's nuts, I swear. Skirk promised to tell Neuvi how the 3rd Descender died and who they were, so we're left waiting for that. Hopefully soon... I have to assume that they died around the time the Archon War began, cause that's when the era of The Seven started. I'm assuming granting visions is some sort of an automatic process, but we'll definitely get more info later on. I think the way Celestia set it up made it so that vision holders essentially sell their soul? Cause if what Celestia gains in return is greater than what the humans gain it can only make me think about it. Maybe the other side to it that Ei mentioned is the idea of a human being willing to do anything to reach their goal, that "anything" being becoming slaves to Celestia after death. They wouldn't know what they're signing up for, which is already hella shady, but by that point there's no coming back. The idea of humans being willing to sacrifice themselves for their goals if they had to is what Celestia is hoping for. Furina's situation just stands out more when we think about that, cause her vision means freedom, rather than a doomed soul. She's free from her act, she found her love for theater again, she's slowly making friends as herself. In comparison, we have so many playable vision holders who got their visions because they were willing to die for what they believed in, like how Freminet was willing to save the other children at the House during that diving trip even if it killed him. I don't know everyone's lore, but his definitely stands out. If I'm right, it's truly insane.
@@AmethystPaladin I know Zhongli pussied out of meeting Neuvillette during last Lantern Rite, but I believe they'd get along well and his trial would just turn out to be a nice discussion over tea.
@@RoseOfNight Honestly, there could be a lot of reasons for Zhongli bailing out. The fact that Neuvilette could not sense zhongli at all meant zhongli must still be powerful enough to atleast mask his presence. i mean, Neuvilette wishes to judge the usurpers and he steps onto Zhongli's land. Ofcourse i am not saying he needs to be scared, but how do you not sense the god of the land so close to you? I feel Zhongli did not hide because he was afraid. He was perhaps 1- Scared that his identity might be revealed. I mean he can ask his adepti buddies and us to not reveal it, but he cannot ask such favours from Neuvilette. My man just wants a peaceful retirement. Otherwise he ll have to shapeshift and create a new life once again. He doesnt even have a retirement fund lol, starting again would be hell for him if he wants to play by human rules 2 - The battle would not necessarily be super one sided if it does happen. You have to understand even zhongli was casually burying gods. When it comes to combat power, Zhongli and Raiden are on another level. Plus they havent given up their "authority" yet(atleast as far as we know). Meaning they are still verrryy powerful. So a battle between neuvilette and zhongli would threaten to destroy entire chenyu vale and surrounding areas irrespective of who loses. None of them want that outcome.

Considering that his Constellation is named after the Leviathan, I want to assume that his first name has some connection with some deadly sea monster, as we’ve seen with Apep whose name belongs to an Egyptian serpent deity of Chaos. We’ve heard about Scylla being mentioned, and this name is significant, since it belongs to the Greek Tale of Scylla and Charybdis, two sea monsters who are immensely dangerous to come across, yet they both surrounded a passage of water. Scylla is a six headed serpent who lives on the rocks, come close to her in your ship, and she’ll snatch your soldiers up. Charybdis is a voracious sea monster who is without question, the most dangerous of the two. Unlike Scylla, Charybdis actually rests below the ocean on the sea bed, but is immensely large, and if she senses anyone above her waters, she’ll start to inhale the water above her, creating a lethal whirlpool. Since we already have a Scylla in Genshin, I wonder if there was a Hydro Sovereign named Charybdis? After all, we do have Ruins named after Charybdis, called Fort Charybdis. This could’ve potentially been the previous Hydro Sovereigns name, and it could potentially be a name that is passed down?
Also yes, getting Neuvillette into Fontaine was a big part of Focalors' plan. The way he was 500 years ago, he would not have pardoned humanity, because as he himself says in act V, he didn't care for humans. So she needed him to live among them, get to know them and build a relation to them, so that he would see their part of the story and forgive their sin of being born from power that was stolen from him. Also funfact: in Chinese, the term "seat" used in character story 4 is more clearly a reference to the divine throne that she had returned to him, using the same symbols.
On the issue of visions: we know that two vision users have risen as "alogines" (or something like that, it's been a while since Venti said about it) to godhood in celestia, one being Vennessa and the other from the Quhua Clan, If we follow the logic that Vennessa most likely had Anemo vision and the leader of Quhua Clan most likely had Geo vision (for being from Liyue), then the only archons we know about receiving this "gift" from Celestia are Zhongli and Venti (the only original archons). And even if the leader of the Guhua Clan was not Geo, we still have Venti as one of those who received the divine "gift", therefore the most mysterious archon, again, have not told about the "gift" and much less about what happens to those who ascend.
Genshin was trying to hint us again with The ACT 5 of Fontaine archon quest. Here's what i think: Remember when traveler was certain that THE 3rd and 4th slates of the prophecy should be switched? but Neuvillette said Traveler was wrong on that point? WHAT IF that was a hint for us players? This is my theory about that one: We know that the dragons ruled the world then the First Descender "The first who came" defeated the dragons and took the world over which is Phans. Then the Second Descender "the second who came" which is US as the traveler sibling but got defeated by the "sustainer" which is Phans itself. Then the 3rd Descender probably killed or whatever and and had his remains be used as Gnosis which i think is Neblung since he's the ruler of the dragons his will would definitely rival a world and since he's a dragon he has compatibilities with all the elements since of course he's a ruler so it would make a sense! Then there's a 4th Descender which it was said its the traveler but i honestly don't agree with that, there's something wrong there. Or they are separating both of the siblings as in ( the second who came was the sibling that we didn't choose so they never sit foot in Teyvat so Irminsul never recorded them since they never descended! or the sibling was defeated as we saw but banished, but they entered the world through the abyss instead as their "Prince/Princess" that would make sense more to me that the traveler we control is the "4th" descender based on what i said before. All of this ties to me from what Traveler has said about the 3rd and 4th slates being in the wrong order. (They kinda never wrong in a sense i think), so it can be the same here where we're taking the wrong idea of who descended first or in what order. The slates were the hint. Also the abyss is out of celestia's control since someone like skirk can get in and out of Teyvat? Or maybe Childe only met her in the abyss but never in Teyvat to train him! Skirk also feels like she's as strong as Neuvillette in his full power so whoever is her master must be even stronger as to having a will that would rival a world. These are just my thoughts. If you read all of this then have a great day! :D
I still think what element a vision is depends on to which ideal the bearer is closer. Those who long for freedom get anemo vision. Those who work hard get geo (which is why Noelle got a geo and not a anemo like she wanted). Cryo has to do with love/care (Wriothesley/kaeya whos situation had to do with love/care/family. I got the idea from reading the element ascension gems. Each basically told what the ideal is about.
I think more accurately, Geo vision holders' ideals are still along the line of maintaining order and stability. Cryo is about the internal conflict or contradiction. Wriothesley did it for his siblings, but became a criminal nonetheless and now the duke of them. Kaeya enjoys the warmth of his new family while still bearing the grand mission of revenge because of his bloodline. Chonyun, Diona and Shenhe are even more obvious examples of this theory.
If Neuvi really intends to put the Archons on “Trial”, like in the actual Opera House, Clorinde better lock the f in if any of them request a duel. We need a Clorinde training arc for this.
@ Neuvi is the Iudex presiding over trials, and duels are an alternative to the trial. Neuvi being the one to duel them wouldn’t be in line with court procedure or his beliefs. I agree with Neuvi being very far above the archons, but that would be shown through him delivering the death sentence no diff rather than a duel, if we do ever get the “trial of the gods” Archon Interlude quest I want. You’re not the first person I’ve seen insist that Neuvi would be the one dueling despite that going against what is stated about duel, being an alternative to trial, I’m getting curious where this idea is coming from.
@@Shane_A_M well the idea comes from the fact that only neuvillete is strong enough to able to fight a duel against archons. He atleast need to strip them off of their divine authority beforehand so the duel can be fair. I don't think he will give an option to duel to archons and if he did he himself have to make sure the duel is fair. He said they don't need to worry about physical confrontation if they stand trial which might suggest if they want an alternative it would be a physical confrontation against him
I think his character story 5 needs a lot more attention: his constellation, and that of every archon, literally shows their own reflection, Furina's included. The 'overseers' and 'those who could defy the world itself'. And look at the traveler's constellation - it's a reflection, too.
I'd lose my mind if his first name is an Archangel name... Fits on the "Teyvat is inverted theories" theme. The Archons are angels and the Archangel names goes to the dragons...
50:09 The only thing that could break the most at times stoic and professional mannerism of Neuvillette. Also the Perfect Wheeze from Ray Chase never fails to make me laugh
I would not be surprised if true enemy is Abyss itself considering all harm and evil its done to Teyvet. Fatui and Snezhnaya got scapegoats, and now Celestia being scapegoated. 🤔
My main interest is wondering what the motivation of the abyss actually is because they talk down to the traveler, and even our sibling is siding with them, so whatever the abyss is fighting for has to be just as motivational as Celestia's desire to safeguard humanity from abyssal influence. Everyone is in their own corner, fighting for something they feel is worth going to war for, and that's compelling enough to want each side to get what they want (for me at least).
@@MurderofBirdsImpacti feel like the Abyss is just a natural calamity. Its nature is to devour anything in Teyvat. Meanwhile some people or groups of people just take advantage of it like the Order and the Sinners. There's still so much uncovered in the lore. Excited to see everything unravel!
@@manilarome9600I’m still sticking to my theory, and Honkai lore, that the abyss is indeed natural, and is the Sea of Quanta, a presence that exists in all Hoyo games outside of their worlds, and does indeed devour worlds that have fallen into its depths. Interesting to see if there’s really no “true” evil in this game. We might fight a faction or someone with antagonistic values, but like other Hoyo games, they might all have their own ideals for the “greater good” of the world.
@@NewWave3313 I'm with you on honkai theory too. It really feels like the Abyss/Forbidden Knowledge is natural. People seem to forget that the Abyss Order and Abyss are two separate entities.
it said "the first and one who came after" it doesn't say that it was the second necessarily, it might have been the third, maybe they gave up their body voluntarily, who knows?
I think Neuvillette’s feelings about the Archons are misdirected(except 1st Pyro Archon for spoiler reasons). It’s not their actual fault that the Dragon Sovereigns died and lost their power and place in Teyvat. Celestia was the one who declared an Archon War and pitted gods against each other for survival and stole Teyvat from the Dragon Sovereigns. The Archons did what they could to survive the war, hence being winners.
@@lithiumpistol2897 I’m aware of that obvious fact from his words. I’m saying that the way he talks about the Archons, aside from Nahida and Furina, is clear that he isn’t fond of them, rather begrudging. And because they are technically affiliated under Celestia, that heighten his disfavour.
It should be remembered that Ei probably don't even know what she's doing as she spent most of her rule without Gnosis. She didn't set rules for Electro visions because she didn't even knew that she should... and so they were given by her mood and so when vision hunt decree came rule became "NO VISIONS".
I still more so follow the other idea of what Tsumi is, that being the a last descendant of Orobashi’s familiers because the whole Vishap people, or Reptilians as Enjou put it, was I’m pretty sure never implied that it would happen in Enkanomiya and I think originally came from the prophecy that the hydro dragon would return in the form of a human which we now know did indeed come to pass, but Pahsiv does imply it is indeed possible for it to happen with vishaps, but Tsumi having a piece of that pendant should be proof enough that she’s not a vishap person
Neuvi's knowledge on the heavens' rule and gods, despite him saying he doesn't remember much of his previous life or much of the deities/dragons, makes you really wonder just how much knowledge do the other powerful characters like for example The Tsaritsa know, but has not yet been shared.
I mean it really makes you wonder just how much the oldest 2 gods, Zhongli and Venti, have hidden from us Zhongli ESPECIALLY since he is apparently contracted to not tell anyone
@@NytesplatThe only thing he’s contracted for is what he got in exchange for giving up the Gnosis. He could tell us about everything else if he wanted, but for a smooth story progression, he obviously doesn’t
Ah yes. Neuvilette having no Constellation is basically being Traveler at the beginning of the game before we awakened our first Statue of the 7. edit: on getting the dragons and archons together. they really can't until we know what happens to the rest of the Gnoses. I mean they can make an alliance but full dragon power restoration is not possible until we retrieve the Gnoses. edit 1: maybe Katheryne spoiled the endgame. Ad Astra Abyssoque. 😉 edit 2: Neuvillette's voice line about snow seems to hint about the Tsaritsa's intention? I think i am "reeding" too much into it. :)))))))))))))) edit 3: I am sure that maybe now Neuvillette may find it funny that the Archons pretend to be human but I feel in time he may understand the sentiments because isn't it that that is what he is doing now? except he isn't pretending but just concealing his real identity.
hi arnold, thanks for uploading this reading session. i usually agree with your assessment in most things except your interpretation regarding Byakuyakoku Collection. my interpretation has always been Phanes either killed or beat the Second Who Came, either they died, fled or otherwise i don't know. i have always been certain Phanes/ Primordial One abandoned they first unified civilization for a reason. I came to that conclusion after seeing and reading patterns of behavior regarding some other civilization; Sal Vindagnyr, The Chasm's civilization, Enkanomiya and the newest is the one from Chenyu Vale. as you know, all of the above civilization (I think except the Chasm...?) has records of them being "blessed by the Heavens". they even had their own 'envoy of humanity' to talk to the heavens. it's depicted in their story and walls. but why, then one day all those blessings stopped. they were discarded for a reason unknown to them and then the Divine Nails came unto those areas. it is said those Nails are to "stabilize the world". but really? at the cost of those civilization who then starved to death? The Heavens under Phanes was a picture of abundance but also destruction. they can take any blessings they give if they chose to. the leftover of Unified Civilization in Enkanomiya probably descended there due to accidents but they were cast aside and sealed under there just so Phanes could create a new world with a new batch of humans. Enkanomiya people were sealed bcs they knew the history and truth regarding this "new world". Orobashi was killed not only bcs he was enroaching Inazuma but bcs he KNEW the people of Enkanomiya. this snake couldn't be let alive after being those people's God and read the Byakuyakoku Series.
it is been shown in Fontaine that an essence of "humanity's will" in the form of Indemnitium accrued for 500 years was able to destroy the Divine Thrones. something that was made by the Heavens to seal off Sovereign Dragons power. If humanity knew they're merely toys for the Heavens, it only matter of time before Phanes decided they want a "new world". Humanity can, in theory, topple the Heavens. This is why Phanes always, always find ways to suppress older civilizations and probably made Khaenri'ah as example.
"The usurper and the one who came later" could just means Usurper(Phanes/primordial one/heavenly principles) and one who came later doesnt necessarily have to mean "second". It could just be the "third" as well. Because first and second fought for the throne of celestia. Them working together just doesnt makes sense. so i believe its referring to first and third(as technically third is also "the one who came later")
Neuvillete to the Archons , "This ain't been about critics, not about gimmicks, not about who the greatest It's always been about love and hate, now let me say I'm the biggest hater. I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk, I hate the way that you dress"
If I call on trials then its gonna be direct We hate celestia that u work for cause the confuse themselves as real "Gods". And notice how I said we its not just me Im what Teyvat's feeling. How many more fairy tales stories about fate till we had enough How many more divine features till u finally feel divine enough We like desenders like traveller we don't like desenders who act tough I will confront u in another 400 yr what do yall think my life is war? I got Fontaine to administer but I can see Ei knows nothing about that Waking up and everyday showing to duiy but I can see venti knows about that Abiding to law and fighting during crisis I can see morax knows nothing about that . . . . Dont speak on melusines archons It can get deep in the family, archons Talk about me and my melusines, Archons? Someone gon' bleed in your family, archons
55:28 he says 400 years and then proceeds to take a vacation in Chenyu Vale lol.🤣 56:01 However we do know that gnosis and the throne/authority are not the same thing. All archons have given up the gnosis but not the authority/throne. You can make an argument that Venti gave the authority or part of that power(Dvalin calls it the power of Anemo Archon.) or split it amongst the four winds, making that the reason why he was so easily beaten by Signora. But Morax hasnt passed on his authority to anyone. The authority over electro also still belongs to Ei as her thoughts still affect the weather/storm. Nahida also hasnt given it back(well Apep isnt being friendly so its understandable). Also 56:32 wtf traveler. You took Venti's side by potraying him as a gentle and kind, drunk but harmless bard, but you couldnt vouch for Zhongli looking after the entirety of the nation(being arguably the best governer out of the seven..maybe with the exception of Nahida but she didnt had freedom to contribute as much as Zhongli) and has also retired? Heck traveler even tried to back Raiden, who was legit the cause for suffering for her people. I feel betrayed as Zhongli was my first ever five star, and is also my favourite archon(rankings are very close to each other btw..)
I feel like since gnosis is similar to vision it's just a tool to channel more powerful elemental power but not necessarily the dragons power, so I think the throne is something more like a curse attached to the archons. They can't give it away unless they die.
Ei getting a pass but traveller and paimon judging literally everyone else like childe venti and zhongli harshly is the reason why I want neuvillete to get her first in a proper trail. She doesn't even think she did anything wrong
@@sohambhogale7700 Precisely my opinion of her. She got left off the hook way too easily. Venti and Zhongli arent even doing anything wrong. Venti simply gave the ruling rights to humans to begin with, but he still wanders around and helps when it is out of humanities hands like Durin incident. While Zhongli needed a test mainly because he had spoiled his children rotten. He protected liyue. He gave guidance every year to liyue. So he simply wasn't sure if humans would even be able to run a nation if he stepped down, as he had been doing a lot. So a test was in order. Sure the test was a little dire, but Zhongli wouldn't have let it hurt anyone, let alone innocent citizens of Liyue. He was ready on the standby, and would have jumped instantly to reseal osial if he thought that Qixing and Adepti wont be able to work together to overcome the threat. The worst thing he did in all this, was probably letting Childe run amok AND not compensating Ninguang for her loss. Like, she really destroyed her personal property for liyue, she deserved to be compensated personally by Rex Lapis for this. Raiden on the other hand, was just throwing tantrums and oppressing people. She was being so dumb that she wasn't even verifying the credibility of the reports "her puppet" was getting while she isolated herself. Nah, Venti and Zhongli are gentle gods who guide their nation via their own means. Raiden straight up was being tyrannical.
@apoorvjoshi2383 worst thing of all she knew all the bad things happening and she said she doesn't care as long as it doesn't hurt her pursuit of eternity
Now that I think about it, the Artifacts really feel like they represent authorities of Herrschers present in Honkai Impact. Flower - Herrscher of Rebirth (Life) Feather - Herrscher of Death Sands - Herrscher of Finality Goblet - Herrscher of the Void Circlet - Herrscher of Reason How interesting…
So wait, Phanes had a "function" (are they a machine?) to dominate the original order of the world, got messed up and couldn't any more, and used the gnosis (3rd descender) as a replacement? Also "fragments of the primordial driven to devour each other" after the gnosis were created must be referring to the archon war and the commandment (compulsion?) for the gods to fight to become archons then. Is the resentment of the world perhaps the abyss? And what was the war of vengeance? If we thought Phanes fought with the second who came, maybe it was in truth against the third descender? Hmmmm
I still think that the 'One who Came After' references the 3rd Descender than the 2nd Descender. The 3rd sacrificed themselves as a way to 'sustain' Teyvat, ala the 'Descender has the will to create, destroy, sustain or save a world' line. I think the 2nd Descender is Nibelung returned with Abyssal power given the 'War of Vengeance' is connected to the Sovereign Dragons. Issue is that there's likely holes in the theory or missing proof for them...
"one who came after" could refer the third descender, as in the Third (?) sacrificed themself so the First (Phanes) could defeat the Second (Nibelung). Notice how the line says, "one who came after" and not "THE one who came after"
I got confused hearing you talk about Furina even tho I thought I clicked Neuvillette's video 😵💫 - Have y'all done the water-tasting stream? 😂 - Neuvillette being Melusines' adoptive father... obviously including Sigewinne. I'm excited for your Sigewinne Character Lore Reading but I must hold back in case of it not happening - WAH- was CS4 of Neuvillette standing in the rain the same time as Wriothesley bringing out an umbrella for Neuvillette when he saw him?! 😳 - your expectations of Natlan being "barren" lol - "I hate the English language" NAH 😂 - Venti and Zhongli are acting as humans so Neuvillette dissing them for wearing fake Visions is crazy 😭😂 - About Dendro Archon: "Though the day will come when I put her on trial..." Nahida doesn't get a pass...? - Is it confirmed Neuvillette is a 1000 years old? Even then, age is mostly rough in GI. Other than maybe Nahida, Ororon, Zhongli, and Venti I think? ? xD - I thought we wanted Furina to be finally a free human but wanting her to appear in Neuvillette SQ Part 2 that should include HUGE lore about either dragons and archons (far from being a normal human) is kinda 😭
Gameplay wise, the archons from the first 4 regions aren't going anywhere simply because they are playable chars. Story wise, I'd like to see Neuvillette get along with the Archons at some point. Like Nahida was willing to make amends with Apep. We'll just have to wait and see though. Hi MoB, I am a new sub so I was wondering, do you also react to Genshin Limited time events. I was just wondering because in this year's Lantern Rite there was an epilogue to the main story of that event where Fontain chars showed up and interacted with a few Liyue chars. And I'll leave it at that because one scene had me laughing my head off while I was also feeling relieved.
If you check all of my past uploads until the recent posts, you'll see that I've posted every limited event from Version 1.0 - Version 4.2, so you can rest assured that it'll continue to be the case as we get to present-day content. And yes, I experienced all of the Lantern Rite 2024 content so you'll see it when we get to uploading those.
@@MurderofBirdsImpact Okay thanks. It was clear from your commentary that you are aware of past events, I just didn't know which ones. Last year around this time I started watching new Genshin players and how to warn them of Fontaine spoilers for certain events like the Fontaine Film Festival event and the epilogue of Lantern Rite. Quick question, you're pretty good at connecting the dots to things. Has being a Kingdom Hearts fan and other games with plot twists helped you with that? I've seen you be a part of Kingdom Hearts reactions lol. Needless to say you're pretty entertaining lol.
29:08 eh, sadly English is not the only language to do this. In Italian, 'principi' can both mean 'princes' and 'principles' for example. The only way to distinguish them out of context is the accent in the pronunciation ('princes' when you put the accent on the first 'i', 'principles' when you put in on the second)...
German has something like that too: Umfahren or Umfahren (pronounced the same way) One is "driving around something" the other is "driving into something"
40:10 If we're thinking about the same thing, the little "fangs" you talk about change depending on each character's pneuma/ousia alliance, and since Furina can use both she gets both fangs. Look at the other characters visions and you'll see
That’s incorrect. The four fangs holding the vision. The difference in pneuma/ousia is the protrusions the vision has from the top and bottom. Look at Lyney/Lynette
@@Nytesplat the clamshell ornaments on the sides also point upwards or downwards differently depending on if the character is pneuma or ousia, that's what i was refering to. I guess he meant the little prongs on the corners, but I personally believe it's merely decorative, reminds me of how diamonds are secured in rings.
@@Nytesplat a slightly bigger detail maybe, but little tiny prongs?? to me they are more reminiscent of high jewellery, which fits furina really well due to her elegant dress and personality, but if it really is a dragon thingie it would be cool too i guess
All hail the OG God of Life, Neuvillette the hydro sovereign of lore tsunamis ❤🎉🐉🌊💧
🙇
My personal favorite fun tidbit about Neuvillette is the fact that dude just casually got himself a reshaped fake constellation so that his daughters can have fun reading his fortune. Because a constellation that reflects its owner cannot be used for that, as we know from Mona.
Peak dad behavior.
The fact is he has no fate
@@The_original_one My understanding of them saying that he came to his own "fate" is that he can just decide it for himself, because he exists outside of Celestia's fate system. He has no fate preordained by the Heavenly Principles, he can choose.
People call me crazy because I say water bottles from different brands are taste different, but then Neuvillette exists.. he can be my water tasting buddy.

1:07:08 According to Venti, Celestia's waters are bitter, Neuvillette would hate it and see it as poison. 😂😂
It's so funny to look back when we were all wondering what Scylla's deal was and when he died, meanwhile the guy is just stuck in the ocean, waiting for someone to untie him.

zhongli: (calls traveler a witness)
traveler: 🙄yeah we gotta see everything
neuvillette: (calls traveler a witness)
traveler: 😳go hydro dragon go
though of course, this could be because of the change in context, especially when zhongli's statement feels like a request to remain passive and just watch everything happen, especially cause he says it when the traveler (and the player) had less knowledge than they do now. neuvi's statement, meanwhile, sounds like he's asking you to accompany him while he fucks the heavenly principles up and we get the gist of what he means.
neuvi's such a cool character, we all love the hydro dragon to bits
forget all the lore the ones where Neuvillette is roasting the archon and is wheezing like a tea kettle are still my favorites :D
Ray Chase is just perfect in his role
People saying how he's protective of Nahida are funny to me like... guys no. He literally says he WILL put her on trial just like the others. He respects her work and resilience but she's not a special case. He will put her on trial and when he does he's going to be impartial as he always is.
Yeah he said he empathise with nahida but on trail he has to be impartial. His hatred is actually just towards celestia
Zhongli spent thousands of years going through the ringer before finally entering his retirement. Now he's got to worry about a full-fledged Dragon who wants the smoke. Guy can't catch a break. At least he'll go easy on Nahida. Everyone loves Nahida. No choice.
lmao byee remember zhongli purposefully avoiding neuvillette on lantern rite? 🤣
yee, zhongli isn't exactly clean himself. he still partook in archon war and killed bunch of Gods and possibly humans too. even tho his first story about Havria proofed he wasn't exactly evil but framed as such, war is still a war. we don't know the story of other Gods in Liyue.
i am not convinced the God from Chenyu Vale who were followed by Fujin and her "adepti" friends was evil but that God still got killed in Archon War and those three had to bow down to Rex Lapis. which caused rift between the three "adepti" eventually.
zhongli is as sus as venti and i am not convinced they have clean hands.

@@0nkrul in Zhongli's defense, his whole point is being incognito and not revealing his identity. Neuvillette would've immediately called him out even with people around and spoil his retirement. It's probably less of being scared of a fight and more worried about being exposed.
@commandercapri9979 i do know that + neuvillette is a dragon, he must hate archons, which zhongli knows
I've been waiting for this, the best Male Character for me as if right now, from his character story there are many things that slightly change our view of the existing lore from before
Neuvillette is my favorite character so far, so seeing you react to his voice lines/lore is really amazing🥰

Neuvillette: "i can match your movements now."
Me: you and i both know thats cap my man i ain't a dragon.

Neuvillette on protective dad mode for Nahida is so sweet, even if she's an Archon.
She's still gonna be on trial, but like he said in the line for the Geo Archon, the trial may not amount to being damning for any of them.
They're gonna be on trial but it's not gonna be severe, his main opponent is celestia

50:16 i was caught off guard lmfao that wheeze, he's so cute i love him
if windgliders have lore, who created the windgliders 🧐
Ah Neuvillette, never have I loved a Character more….
29:00, i didnt even know that there's another pronunciation of minute 😭
Genshin was trying to hint us again with The ACT 5 of Fontaine archon quest. Here's what i think:
Remember when traveler was certain that THE 3rd and 4th slates of the prophecy should be switched? but Neuvillette said Traveler was wrong on that point? WHAT IF that was a hint for us players?
This is my theory about that one:
We know that the dragons ruled the world then the First Descender "The first who came" defeated the dragons and took the world over which is Phans.
@ yeah but my point still stands. I think it depends on which ideal your closer to
If Neuvi really intends to put the Archons on “Trial”, like in the actual Opera House, Clorinde better lock the f in if any of them request a duel. We need a Clorinde training arc for this.
Nah the duelist will be neuvillete. And he is wiping the floor with archons if it comes down to it so they have to go through a trail or simply die ig
He said they don't need to worry about physical confrontation if they stand trial which might suggest if they want an alternative it would be a physical confrontation against him
@@sohambhogale7700 I do think Capitano (and Kazuha to an extent) disproves that, but I see where you’re coming from, we can agree to disagree.
28:11 hoyo staff may not thinking that far but after watching this bet theyre gonna use ur idea again lmao
50:09 The only thing that could break the most at times stoic and professional mannerism of Neuvillette. Also the Perfect Wheeze from Ray Chase never fails to make me laugh
Ah nice just got the notification Ty you Arnold
@@MurderofBirdsImpact Oh for sure. I'm eager see what future holds. 😊 We just lack pieces in this giant jigsaw so I agree with you.
@@Arialuna-mt4pr that's why he's judging them first. He even said in zhongli line that it doesn't have to be a real fight.
There's a presumed historical reference to Neuvillette "sir Henry Neville"

Kettle sovereign
some speculate that columbina might be of the seelie race or the god of death turning her back to celestia
I don't believe it
God of death ranova just like istoroth or kyros would not side with tsaritsa even if thay are Rebale
It should be remembered that Ei probably don't even know what she's doing as she spent most of her rule without Gnosis. She didn't set rules for Electro visions because she didn't even knew that she should... and so they were given by her mood and so when vision hunt decree came rule became "NO VISIONS".
ABSOLUTE CINEMA
I mean it really makes you wonder just how much the oldest 2 gods, Zhongli and Venti, have hidden from us
Zhongli ESPECIALLY since he is apparently contracted to not tell anyone
@@NytesplatThe only thing he’s contracted for is what he got in exchange for giving up the Gnosis.
He could tell us about everything else if he wanted, but for a smooth story progression, he obviously doesn’t

True
@@baguette_connoisseur What? How much of his contracts do we actually know about?
Ah yes. Neuvilette having no Constellation is basically being Traveler at the beginning of the game before we awakened our first Statue of the 7.

edit 1: maybe Katheryne spoiled the endgame. Ad Astra Abyssoque. 😉
edit 2: Neuvillette's voice line about snow seems to hint about the Tsaritsa's intention? I think i am "reeding" too much into it. :))))))))))))))

As Doro once said:

hi arnold, thanks for uploading this reading session.
i usually agree with your assessment in most things except your interpretation regarding Byakuyakoku Collection. my interpretation has always been Phanes either killed or beat the Second Who Came, either they died, fled or otherwise i don't know. i have always been certain Phanes/ Primordial One abandoned they first unified civilization for a reason.
He will get his revenge for his brethren😂
"The usurper and the one who came later" could just means Usurper(Phanes/primordial one/heavenly principles) and one who came later doesnt necessarily have to mean "second". It could just be the "third" as well. Because first and second fought for the throne of celestia. Them working together just doesnt makes sense. so i believe its referring to first and third(as technically third is also "the one who came later")
Neuvillete to the Archons , "This ain't been about critics, not about gimmicks, not about who the greatest
It's always been about love and hate, now let me say I'm the biggest hater. I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk, I hate the way that you dress"

55:28 he says 400 years and then proceeds to take a vacation in Chenyu Vale lol.🤣
56:01 However we do know that gnosis and the throne/authority are not the same thing.
Flower - Herrscher of Rebirth (Life)
Feather - Herrscher of Death
Sands - Herrscher of Finality
Goblet - Herrscher of the Void
Circlet - Herrscher of Reason
How interesting…
Dunno
"one who came after" could refer the third descender, as in the Third (?) sacrificed themself so the First (Phanes) could defeat the Second (Nibelung). Notice how the line says, "one who came after" and not "THE one who came after"
I believe that 3rd is the light Prince that marry the sellee ancestors or sellee queen.
I got confused hearing you talk about Furina even tho I thought I clicked Neuvillette's video 😵💫
- Have y'all done the water-tasting stream? 😂
- Neuvillette being Melusines' adoptive father... obviously including Sigewinne. I'm excited for your Sigewinne Character Lore Reading but I must hold back in case of it not happening
- WAH- was CS4 of Neuvillette standing in the rain the same time as Wriothesley bringing out an umbrella for Neuvillette when he saw him?! 😳
- your expectations of Natlan being "barren" lol
- "I hate the English language" NAH 😂
- Venti and Zhongli are acting as humans so Neuvillette dissing them for wearing fake Visions is crazy 😭😂
- About Dendro Archon: "Though the day will come when I put her on trial..." Nahida doesn't get a pass...?
- Is it confirmed Neuvillette is a 1000 years old? Even then, age is mostly rough in GI. Other than maybe Nahida, Ororon, Zhongli, and Venti I think? ? xD
- I thought we wanted Furina to be finally a free human but wanting her to appear in Neuvillette SQ Part 2 that should include HUGE lore about either dragons and archons (far from being a normal human) is kinda 😭
Oh come to papa
German has something like that too:
Umfahren or Umfahren (pronounced the same way)
One is "driving around something" the other is "driving into something"
I thought leviathan is his demon name
second who came was the dragon king no? after he left to get forbidden knowledge or power from beyond
This was recorded a year ago, but yes, I believe The Second Who Came is Dragon King Nibelung
@MurderofBirdsImpact oh okay then makes sense
Wait was Rhiondotir trying to create sovereign dragon like being herself?
Through Albedo? I didn't understand your question.
Rhiondotier was trying to create “ descender" primordial human that's why u can see similarities between the traveler and albedo with star motives.
Xilonen reaction please🥺🥺🥺
@@anna6570hoyo do not do anything without reason
@@anna6570yeah im sure hoyo decided to just add those for decoration after the archon quest for no reason lol
@@Nytesplat a slightly bigger detail maybe, but little tiny prongs?? to me they are more reminiscent of high jewellery, which fits furina really well due to her elegant dress and personality, but if it really is a dragon thingie it would be cool too i guess
Except for the Dragons, Heavenly Principles did nothing wrong.
Umm I would not say that but hy PRIMORDIAL ONE A PROGENITOR GOD HAILING FROM BEYOND THE STARS
