I'm so glad to see I'm not the only one having a problem getting clear mount stamps to stick. I thought I was doing something wrong! I was hesitant to buy the new cling stamps because I thought they would have the same problem. Good to know that's been resolved, too.
Great idea with those left over bits of cling... Also, I have found that if I stick my cling stamps down on that left over sheet ( once I have taken off or used up the rest of the sticky stuff) it stores very well on those sheets, because they are waxy. I don't dare stick them into my case because if i don't use them for awhile i am afraid they will stick permanently in the case. I wish Stampin up could have come up with a happy medium... something between "doesnt stick at all" and "could build a skyscraper with it, it's so sticky" you know what I mean?

Kelly, this is a really great tip. I must say though, I’m confused at why Stampin Up can’t get it right as far as the cling goes. First not clingy enough and now too clingy. Every other manufacturer has figured it out. Don’t get me wrong I still love Stampin Up.

I was just going to say what Minnie just said- Stampin Up should offer packages of blank sheets of this sticky paper, so we can use it on our clear mount stamps. It would be kind of them, indeed, since their original label stickers were pretty much useless.
Just an FYI - there is a difference in the sides on the cling sheets. Be careful to only stick the side that is supposed to on the clear mount. I saw on Demo Party Planning Facebook page that someone ruined her stamps by accidentally adhering the wrong side. But yes this is an awesome tip!
@@stampingroots You're going to make sure you are adding the same way you would if you were sticking them to the stamp. Lay the sheet down - cut a little snip and then peel the backing off and stick your stamp to it - that is the right side.

One side is permanent, one side repositionable, put on your stamps the same way as you did the stamp set.
