  • What do you think of the slightly different format? I tried to trim some of the fat and focus the analysis on specific in-game situations with illustrative gameplay clips. Did it work to convey the surface feel or should I focus more on describing it in an abstract sense?
    The PA is a high-quality pad that performs especially well in tac shooters and for click timing intensive aim. It should absolutely be on the radar of anyone who is looking for a typical control pad, likes the G-SR-SE, or wants a good-looking addition to their desk.
    Sorry about the scuffed audio. I accidentally enabled the NVidia broadcast noise filter and it doesn't play well with my mic.
    I might tweet sometimes, give me a follow :) KraftyCraftKraf

    • @KraftyCraftKraf

      The surface is super smooth and has that slicked out feel. It does have some minor humidity issues, though, and I do notice some stickiness on my arm and it slowing down my mouse very slightly. If the equate was too fast for you, then you might not have very many options. It's one of the slowest pads I've tried and heard of. The Eclipse may end up feeling a little slower for you because the surface is crazy smooth and you may perceive its speed to be different. I personally think it feels faster, but surface feel can affect how you perceive speed. It feels pretty humidity resistant, too, and it only has a very minor affect on the surface. So far the GPZ1 is feeling like it has some of the most friction I've ever felt and is very slow, comparable to the G-SR even. I haven't used it enough to have a complete take on it yet, though, so I'll have to put more time in and make a full review soonish. The LGG Jupiter may be a good option from what I've heard, but I haven't used it yet.

      my custom equate is the same speed as the red gp4 for me. so it isnt that slow, or rather the gp4 is super slow too? if you want a really slow pad, look at the corsair pads. i only tried the mm200pro but that shite is S L O W, against that the equate is a speed pad. i personally dont like the gp4, something is really off with that pad.

    Great review. I'm considering purchasing the Vaxxe PA or Gamesense Radar. Which of the two would you recommend? My current mouse pad is the Hayate Otsu Soft and I've been wanting to try a slower mouse pad. I mainly play Apex, Battlefield, and Halo.

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому +2

      Both of those are super solid control pads that I enjoy using, but I like the PA a little bit more. The surface feels a little more linear and consistent plus it's smoother and softer on your arm with super vibrant graphics. In comparison, the radar's glide is a little quicker with a similar amount of resistance on small movements but less stickiness and static friction, so it's a little weirder. The radar may be an easier transition because it'll feel a little more similar to the otsu but I think the PA would be a better pad to dive into trying out a slower surface.

      The zero should be a great option for easier microadjustments. I really like soft personally. Soft has a perfect base and is super comfortable while still avoiding any sinking issues you may have.

    I have this pad and the GSR SE, and I feel like this pad is a little faster making my aim a little worse. Do you think it would be worth to buy the LGG Saturn or do you have any recommendations?

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому

      The LGG Saturn will likely feel too fast for you as well because of its much lower static friction and less resistance on small motions, but the surface feels pretty different to the PA so you may end up liking it for different reasons. If you want a slower surface, the Eclipse is a great option. It'll have higher friction all around and feel more controlled without having that mudpad stickiness. It's a super solid pad if you want something high friction and I highly recommend it.

  • @I3asyl
    @I3asyl 2 роки тому

    I just got the vaxee PA from your recommendation and you're right it is unique. Although the speed profile feels similar to the xten control when gliding the mouse around for some reason the PA feels faster in use. Maybe because it's smoother? It's the first pad ive used this smooth so def gotta get used to it.
    Could it be the smoothness making the pad feel a bit faster. Did you feel the same way or is there maybe a break-in period with the pad?

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому +1

      Yeah I think its the smoothness. It feels pretty slick and glidy despite its fairly high dynamic friction. I think that's why it feels like it has more stopping power than it should. I didn't notice any break in period with my PA that I remember and it has always felt pretty consistent.

    Hi Krafty, do you think the Zero or the Vaxee PA would be better choice for consistency when it comes to Tacfps. I used to own both but i can't recall which i like better - want something with low initial friction, high static friction/ a good amount of stopping power, dynamic friction doesn't bother me much as I feel like its something i could adapt to.

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому

      The PA is easily my number one pick for tac shooter consistency. It has a good amount more resistance on small motions which should reduce accidental mouse movements and add some much needed stability for precise crosshair placement as compared to the Zero. It's still not bad but you may find your aim to be less consistent without the higher static friction that the PA offers.
      I'm not sure what you mean in the section about what friction profile you want a pad to be. Initial and static friction are terms that are usually used interchangeably to explain how much force is required to get the mouse moving so saying you want one to be high and the other low is confusing.

    • @sololakey1906
      @sololakey1906 2 роки тому

      @@KraftyCraftKraf i guess i got confused by the terms initial and static, i meant initial as in, the friction to get the mouse from a standstill position, and static as in the friction from moving to standstill, which idt it makes any sense, but im refering to stopping power.

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому

      Ah I see. I that case, I think the zero would be better for you. The PA might feel a little too sticky if you want something with low initial friction. It’s definitely a pad built for stability.

  • @toastbuttered6313

    What do you think is a good mousepad for Apex that is not a fast pad? I have tried the Razer Strider but it's too slippery and has little control for a game like Apex. I always struggle hitting shots when someone is A/D strafing in that game because I feel like the static friction is too low on it. I feel like my target acquisition is bad and staying locked in is just not there. I need something where I can have that amount of control. It did help me improve a bit in Quake Champions though. Do you think the Vaxee PA (I have seen people use this, same with GSRSE, and perform really well on it on Apex and Quake when it comes to tracking) or the Odin Eclipse would be perfect for those small movement scenarios or should I go slower? I do have an Equate and perform okay on it (better than my other pads) but the humidity and sweat issues are so bad on it. I use a Viper Mini mouse btw. :P

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому

      If you like the Equate I would recommend the Eclipse. It has a similar, but still lesser, amount of friction but doesn't seem to get affected by humidity nearly as much. It'll also avoid feeling sticky so it feels great for tracking an adad'ing target in particular. I would avoid going much slower because you'll quickly start to get to pads that feel very muddy and restrictive for tracking.

    • @toastbuttered6313
      @toastbuttered6313 2 роки тому

      @@KraftyCraftKraf Guess I'm going for the Eclipse then. One last question, which has more stopping power, the Gamesense Radar or Eclipse? • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому

      The Eclipse has more stopping power but not by much. Both pads have a good amount of dynamic friction and the Radar always felt like it had a lot of stopping power for its glide speed so it feels like the Eclipse doesn't gain as much stopping power as it loses in speed.

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому

      The Saturn would be my top recommendation in that category so I'd say you should stick with that to see if you like using a control surface. I do think that textured surfaces are very beneficial to high sens so something like the XTen would be a great option if you don't care about lighting money on fire. Then there are other control pad offerings you could branch out too like the Eclipse and Radar that I personally enjoy for tracking which you could branch out to after trying the Saturn.

    what are some control pads you can recommend? looking at this and the gsr atm

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому +1

      If you're looking for a slower feeling control pad, I would most recommend the PA and Eclipse. Both are super solid options that feel highly controlled but avoid feeling oppressively muddy. The Radar is super solid as well, I just prefer the surface feel of the PA a little bit more. If you want something more medium speed with less friction and a more nimble feel, the Saturn is the easiest recommendation to make. The G-SR is still a relevant pick because nothing else has quite as much friction, but I don't recommend it because the surface gets destroyed by moisture, more than any other pad I've tried. The only other surfaces that have come close to its feeling of crazy high friction are the Equate and GPZ1. The Equate is pretty solid and a good option if you want maximum friction but with a little bit of texture as well. It is still affected by moisture and gets sticky on your arm and slows down your mouse a little bit, but still not as bad as the G-SR. The GPZ1 is the closest I've ever felt to a worn in G-SR and it has a ton of friction, especially for small movements. I have only used the pad briefly and don't have a complete grasp on the surface yet, though, but I'll be giving it some more time and making a full review down the road.
