A real pleasure to watch a well organised, methodical, and calm mechanic with a great feel for tools and machinery.
Thanks for putting this on Utube.

Lovely to watch and even better with the English subtitles so I can understand more what you are doing. I own a 1964 Tiger 90 but my aim is to restore a 1962 T120 Bonneville eventually. Lovely to see the processes you go through with the pre unit

Tapping the bushes in *lightly* might be OK but if you heated the c/case EVENLY in the oven and had the bushes in the freezer for an hour they'd more or less drop onto their seats.

I dont want to rain on a parade but heating alloy and bronze does not ease assembly as they expand at to similar a rate. It might work a bit if you put the bushes in the freezer to fit but as soon as they hit the hot alloy they would expand.

I've found no difficulties during the insertion, so it wasn't necessary in my opinion

Yes but you do understand heating alloy cases to remove bronze bushes is pointless? They expand at almost the same rate unlike alloy and steel.

Can't they simply be pressed in, rather than beating the crap out of new brass bushings and risk damaging the housing?

The book says they should be pressed in, no heat no hammer.

Hello Lorenzo, thankyou for these great films!, could I ask a question, after the crank is inserted, could you have brought the other empty half together instead of lifting the whole first half and crank and fitting it the way you did? It looked very heavy and awkward!!
