My man of the match is Jimmy Dunne, who by not being there at all proved himself the most valuable man in the side. Defense in disarray and no goals from 11 or 12 corners without him. If it's true that Sheffield United have moved on from trying to get him this window, I will take the one game lost and hope that he is back in the side next time.

Could tell the other defenders were just not as comfortable knowing he wasn't there, which is understandable. He's a huge presence. Still hoping he stays, but also that he signs a new deal, we don't want to lose him for nothing.

@jonowhitney5515 I stated that I would want Frey (because if his bulk), but I was really impressed by how Lloyd took his goal. I would have been happy with Kolli starting up front too. We just need to give someone the opportunity to become a clinical finisher, or move out of the way for one of the others. That clinical finishing is what we lack!
@@hoopsanddreamsQPR it's not just down to Dunne. Remember he was playing when we did terribly defensively earlier in the season. Most of their attacks came down the other side. Chair wasn't an attacking threat and he also left Paal exposed at the back. We looked hugely better when Saito came on. Cook needs match fitness so has to play at some point. Fox should have dealt with that rebound. I don't really understand the Edwards criticism. Wasn't his fault we lost.
@@nicksyb5920 I don't think we concede either of those goals if Dunne is on the pitch. Edwards played ok overall but was ball watching for the first and beaten in the air for the 2nd. Agree Fox should win the rebound, but Dunne wins that first header if he is there.

@thebuildreview it has to be a case of we will only sell him for a high price, because his loss will be keenly felt in the teams and the squad in general. Getting someone else of his quality at RB is obviously not easy (Santos, Ashby, Kakay, Drewe), so we need recompense! That said, it does seems as if Sheffield United were not even offering a straight £2m (lots of ifs and buts with a small down payment?) and we are holding out for more. Well done Christian Nourry!

Millwall fan,very competitive sides that won’t be fighting in the relegation zone,poor goalkeeping and defending cost you,was impressed by QPR,better side second half and glad your sub on the right came on late🫣looks very good,seems we’re both on the up for next season👍

In regard to Millwall being a safe bet to finish out of the relegation zone, I would expect them to make somewhere above 15th at the end of the season. The sub on the right would be Yang from Korea (#47)? That was his debut and I was impressed too!

There is talk amongst some Fluminense supporters of corruption at their club. I have no idea if that is true, but it would complicate matters for an EFL club. I hope we do get him in because he looks good in the videos and we DO need another LB!

i dont think it makes sense to talk about being inconsistent. almost every team is and will always be. jimmy dunne: perhaps no injury, but a medical in sheffield? would be desastrous to lose him, cos we would be left with old and injury shaken guys in defense. i would make dunne captain and give him a long term contract. perhaps too late now.
I think the latest rumour is that QPR want £3m for Dunne and Sheff Utd arnt willing to pay it. I think its looking likely Dunne will stay beyond the deadline tomorrow. @@hoopsanddreamsQPR

The funny thing is Newcastle signed him to be Kieran Trippiers replacement 😂 Don’t think they’re liking what they’re seeing so far because he’s been awful, they’ve sent him on loan twice and bought a much better RB. Really concerning to see Ashby struggling even at championship level

Some may well not be 100% match-ready (Steve Cook comes to mind) which means they are off-pace, but the only other reason for them not giving their all is if they are just not fitting into the shape of the team. Madsen and Andersen are perhaps ones to do not quite fit, and you could even say Frey's pace does not fit the style of play Marti seems to want; but I guess this season it is all about working with the players you have available (and fit)! I think we are recruiting faster wing backs for next season, as well as looking for wingers like Saito and Yang on permanent deals. We are still a 'work in progress'!

defense looked second to everything against millwall, but going forwards enouraging signs.

I think Loanees can have a rather passé attitude to playing.
He’s not that bad. Jose Bosingwa and Todd Kane are 2 RB’s who were surely far worse for us.
Seems there's too much finger pointing at the players and none at the manager. I think all these guys are giving 100% every game in a flawed system.
