Poland had the greatest team ever assembled in our history, but we didn't play as brilliant as in 1974 World Cup. Even if our Nwtional Team played good game, at the end result was nightmare.

Good question, I can only assume he was injured. Kempes scored his only headed goal in that game too.

This variant worked well for the coach Jacek Gmoch a year earlier during Poland tour of South America and Gmoch decided to repeat it. The Argentines were supposed to play downfield, and - according to the coach - the fast and agile Kasperczak was better suited to such a game than the tall, powerful and less agile Gorgon.

Brasil teve muita sorte contra a Espanha. Se Cardeñosa marcasse o gol no final, o Brasil ficaria fora da primeira fase. Porém, Brasil conseguiu passar como segundo e teve um desempenho melhor até o final do torneio.
