Hello from South Africa. Nice to see your video. My father was born in the village of Bravo not too far from Pedrogao Pequeno where you have a market stall. My father still tends a vegetable garden in Johannesburg and has never stopped talking about his childhood experiences. Over the years he taught me how to slaughter animals, make cheese, harvest honey, forage for wild plants, hunt and cook. Skills that are becoming scare in our post-modern society. We are planning to settle back in the area to share this life with my family and hopefully my father will be there to share his experience with his grandsons. So your short video is an example (and reminder) of that hardworking ethic that I see in my father. He is a carpenter by profession, still works at the age of 80.

He looks after his animals well and they look like they get a good life. What are the pigs for? Do they just stay in those small areas? Also, how does he slaughter the animals? I don't think killing an animal because there's too many is right, surely you can make room, or maybe sell or donate them to a sanctuary?
