BN AND WP RAILROADING"THE HIGH LINE"

The real history of the Inside Gateway of the "High Line". An operation that was put together by the Great Northern and the Western Pacific in the Depression era to increase traffic flow by forwarding traffic from the Northwest to the Santa Fe Railroad whereby they could all compete better with the Southern Pacific Railroad.

So much of the area between Keddie and Greenville was destroyed by the 2021 Dixie Fire, 2nd largest in California history. The entire town of Greenville was wiped out.
