Wow! You are completely compelling me to start my own channel. I thought I needed to have everything planned. To know what I was going to do with it but now I feel like I can be a working progress and inspire people to work towards their best selves as well. Thank you so much for just being you!!

OMG THIS IS LITERALLY ME. I was reflecting a couple of days ago and thinking about what kind of UA-cam videos I want to make, and I was like "I just want to document my journey of wherever I'm going, and I don't know where that is 😅"

I have been going on this journey of finding my purpose for the past month and rethinking what would make me happy in the future. I have been watching your videos since then and it really has inspired me to better myself and also know what I want! So thank you for making your channel because they make me calm and it's like I'm listening to a friend who is around my age going through the same things right now in life! 😊

I always thought it would be cool to start a file on my computer where I would record every single memory I possibly can. I would sort them chronologically by estimated date. The plan would be to just sit down and write as much as possible at first. Then, whenever something popped into my mind, I would add that in. I doubt I will ever do it, but, then again, maybe I will 😊

When the video first started, I was curious as to why were there were so many sticky notes on the wall? The fact that you took the time to do that is really astonishing. Not a lot of people would do that. I really like the whole time line idea. When you start youtube, the whole process starts of fun and really really really exciting yet as it continues it gets a bit difficult because you don't really know what you want to do with the channel. If I could tell you anything, I'd say don't care about the numbers and as in numbers I mean views or subscribes. In the end, whatever the things you create makes you happy is all that matters. Take your time, I can't wait to see your next video. :)

YES! I totally get you! As a new youtuber, there was literally so much pressure trying to fit yourself into a niche or a personality. I knew that I was a intersectionality of identities (Chinese-Canadian, Gay etc) but experienced youtubers always encouraged in their videos for us to stick to being just one. I think I just put a lot of pressure on myself to conform and it almost killed my desire to continue with UA-cam. But lately after watching your videos I realized that it is okay to be yourself and be all that you are because that's what draws people to you in the first place. Thanks Rowena, for being so true to who you are!

I love the last bit where you show the wall developing and your mom comes in. :D Thank you for your consistent honesty and authenticity to show all the "stuff" that happens in life and how it does happen for a purpose.

Just found your channel and I have begun to watch peoples first videos to see where and why people started.
I myself have just started out and nothing is near perfect jet, I haven't even made the videos I really want to do, but it helps to see other people/UA-camrs progress. So thank you for sharing your journey and your why with us :-D
You seem very natural in front of the camera and very "you", any tips for that?
