- In this video, me and the boy went on a quick hunt for some more dragon ball z SH figuarts & we found KAIOKEN GOKU but to our surprise, Target hit me with the spirit bomb and said maybe next time.

the start of this video felt like a found footage horror movie. it just felt so real and genuine (because it was). at least the only horror was not being able to buy the kaioken goku figure

I'm a Target employee. Sorry to hear that you couldn't buy them. What I think happened was that the employees didn't do their job properly. When they get items to stock on the salesfloor, there are some items that aren't suppose to be on the floor yet but they didn't check and just stocked it. Target employees use their device to do work like stocking, backstocking and pulling items from the backroom etc. When they scan the item, it has a street date which is the day the item will go on sale. They probably didn't see that. Or the item really is not in their system like the Target employees said. Then whoever that's in charge of the Toy department should have pulled those items off the shelves but they probably didn't do that.
How could I find the street date?
@MisterCollector-cy3ws The street date is info that shows up on the device the employees use for work, so you can't find out. I'm not 100% if that's what happened, but stuff like that does happen when the stocker just puts the item on the floor when they aren't supposed to or remove it when it isn't supposed to be on the floor yet. New toy items that don't have street dates or aren't supposed to be on the floor yet has to be in the backroom and when street date has arrived then they stock it.

Every target I go to and ask they just straight up say they don’t have it and when I ask them to check they literally just search google which does nothing. How can I get ahold of someone who actually knows if and where they are available?
@mythicpeyote make sure that they scan the barcode on the shelf where the item is located and when they scan it with their device, it shows whether they have it or not and where it is if we have it. If not, it will also have info on when it's coming if they ordered it more. It also shows which other Target nearby that has it as well. But they shouldn't use Google. They should use the search bar on the Target app or enter the 10 digit DPCI because every Target item has Dpci. But be aware. The lazy ones could easily pretend like they don't have it when they do. They could scan the item and even though it's in the backroom, they could just straight up lie to you and say oh we don't have it because they don't want to walk long distance to get it for you.
I've seen people hide the figures in the display furniture. Ottomans, desks, cabinets. They typically don't search since there's so much but if you scan the barcode and can't buy, just snap the bar code and do the rest. You'll most likely find your figure untouched if you remember which.

Oh snap you guys in FL I had did some work around the area and stop by that comic store there was another place I stop by behind a Wawa of the high way that had some SH Figs but was a bit to high for me

same thing happened to me, 2 diff targets had the same issue saying “item not found” first target didn’t let me buy, when i found it at a diff target couple days later same issue which didn’t make sense cuz they had like 4-5 on the shelf, luckily this time the cashier said he collected those and put it in the system as “identified item” but with the correct price, maybe try that next time

That happened to me a couple years ago at Walmart with a funko pop.
Respect of not grabbing all 3 and planning to resell later for a profit. It is unfortunate you could not buy the one you had. Don't worry, you'll get one soon. Just takes patience.
I got lucky at walmart right when they got announced and found 2 of those.. the lady couldn't ring it up in the system so she just charged me $35 each

This makes a lot of sense to me, I went to Target here in Dallas this past Sunday, just randomly walking throught the section where they have the FUNKO POPS and NECA figurines and I saw a stack of KIO-KEN Goku's at least 6 of them next to Super Sayain Vegeta, my eyes wouldn't believe it when I saw them, I grab one and took it to the register, the cashier wasn't able to scan it and neither was I able to scan it through the Target App, I told her on the shelve it said $34.99 and she said I trust you, she adjusted the price and I was able to purchase it, I went back the next day to pick up another one early in the morning (not to resell, just to have an open one at home) and to my surprise, they were all gone even the Super Saiyin Vegeta, I figure it was maybe a toy scalper that took them all, usually some Targets have a limit of toys ppl can take, but seeing this video and you explaining it makes sense now, maybe the night shift crew realize they werent supposed to be on the shelves yet and took them out so I will try my luck again this weekend and the upcoming days, which means thet will be release pretty soon. I got lucky with this one.
The trick is to get another Sh figures dragon ball figure which retails for the same and scan it twice I had to do that because of system errors at target

Just got mine today at target. Had the same issue with it not being in the system i told them to just scan a goku saiyan raised on earth n they did 💯 they had like 6

They didn't scan when I found them either. They got a code from the team lead and manually entered it, charging me $20! Got lucky!

Funny enough me and my girlfriend were shopping at target one day and we found the kaioken Goku and we were trying to buy it but it wasn’t showing up on the system but the employee I guess was generous and decided to sell it to me and just used another barcode from another sh figure honestly it sucks that it happens sometimes that they don’t have a code yet but they mistakenly put them out so I guess I got lucky

I live in uk they had Ultra instinct goku and mastered ultra instinct goku and kaioken goku in stock but they didnt let me but them i asked is anyone holding on to it he said no so i said ok i would have these figures and he said No leave the store go to another store and buy them i said they dont have them in stock he said i dont care leave the store inleft the store in madness i spock to the owner he apologised and gave me one for free but i payed those two still F the employee for not giving those figuers to me those figure are on my wish list figures
Yo go back and tell them to type in the QR code manually I work at Walmart and bought them he couldn’t scan it and he typed it in and it worked ( and it was a team lead who scanned it)

Why is the Kaioken Goku so valued?
This version is exclusive to Wal mart and target making it harder to get. I know my target never stocks anything like this so not having an online retailer really limits stuff exclusive to them for me.
Retail has become trash, that figure is out officially so there is no reason for them to not sell it. Just get demoniacal fits version.

You’d be surprised you can sue anyone for anything these days and that is bs they should have found a way to sell it cause fact is a fact they still had it on hand and believe it’s a customer right or something like that where they gotta honor it like how of many of one item is in a wrong priced area they ahev to honor the price I’ve done that if price seems too good to be true but I see the same exact figure in the priced tag section then I take pic and show them at register ask for a manger if person can’t honor it at register. It may have just been removed from the shelf but fact is it was there when buying or should had been if it’s removed from the system that technically makes it free question them on that logic yet you’re still just wanting them o honor the fact that it was on the shelf with other 3
I had it happen at my local target too. Cashier was useless and didnt want to help. I called the store to speak with the manager and that lady was awesome. Bought the entire case and ended up making money and keeping one
