Chaikin Oscillator Zero Line Crossover D1 Strategy - Part 1 | Trading Highlights

STRATEGY
This is a trend based technical strategy revolving around the Chaikin Oscillator from the mind of Mark Chaikin. There’s nothing fancy to the strategy, just a bit of zero line crossover.
We’ll start by looking at a 60 period smoothed moving average. This will be our filter indicator so it’s going to be a pretty basic interpretation, if price is closing above the moving average then we can only take buy trades, if price is closing below the moving average then that’s going to be sell trades for us.
After we’ve checked our moving average we’ll head down to the Chaikin Oscillator. We’ll have a line right across the zero to check on, when the reading moves above the 0 line and is about to close there we can get ourselves into a buy trade and clearly it’s sell trade city for us should we see the Chaikin Oscillator cross and close below zero. Not too difficult, I’m sure it will bring greatness.
Then it’s time for our money management. Once we get the signal we’re only going to set a stop order rather than getting in. In fact the trade will be split into two sub-trades. So for buy stop orders they’ll go just above the high of price for the current candle and for sell stop orders will go just below the high of the current candle. If our buy stop order hits then the stop loss will go beneath the low of the last 3 candles for both sub-trades, the take profit for one sub-trade will be a mirror of that distance for a 1:1 ratio, and for sub-trade B there will be a trailing stop loss with no fixed take profit level.
