Is your question, "Why did I make this video"? I made it because it's not easy to figure out how to change the temperature below 73 degree on this thermostat. I searched UA-cam and didn't find a video explaining it. But I found a blog post. I prefer watching videos so I made a video for other people having the same problem.
Gotta hate devices smarter than me. Decades ago I had smart t stats. They were programmed much like yours are (for you) 68 at night and 74 by day A/C. Then for Heat 67 at night 72 1st thing after getting up then 66 during the day. Finally 70 just before we got home. Here we have heat pumps (mini splits) They will maintain a temp but don't ask for great changes up or down so we just leave it alone. Yours sounds OK just not here. P n D
You'll be right at home in Mexico. It's all mini-splits. They are just catching on in the US. We prefer heat sources that make heat fast and also destroy the planet at the same time. Energy efficiency? Screw that. But here in Oregon, we have a "efficient" natural gas heater at the house (and a mini-split at the rental.) Decades ago, the smartest thing I owned was a calculator. And sadly, it was smarter than me...
@@davebaker489 Not really. It was about 5 miles away from our house - which is pretty far away in Portland terms. In NS, that might just be the end of your driveway...
Hey, just a question. What motivates to make a video ?
