It’s the stress…”I could win that.” An I’m thinking….”I’m not qualified.” I can’t remember the last time I used a flashlight. I think I was 5 and I put the beam against my hand…and it turned a horrifying red. Lord..Please…not me..not me…not me. The pitfalls of liking Leftman. What can ya do? Sniffle.
Your channel wound up in my recommendations last week and it’s just highly technical modern stoner style and lots of fun. An old knife collector since the 60’s, my knives were a million times better than any of these modern ones. Old Case, Shrade, Camillus, Buck was sort of a newcomer, and I had a few fine Swedish, German, and Japanese high-carbon razor sharp fixed blades. All well used and worn but not a spot of rust. These are high-maintenance knives that will start to rust in 24 hours if you’re not paying attention. Fast forward a few decades and I started looking at knives again. Very disappointed. Everything is stainless. We used to call that “lazy bastard’s steel”. It’s not even really a knife. Like a toy that will never get sharp. And those guys were always bleeding. Dull knives are dangerous. Fast forward again, and I’m hearing about these “super-steels”. Okay, I’m not buying into stainless blends being “super” but it’s sure nice not to have to use two hands to open it. For a hundred years, folders took two hands to open. That’s why it was never considered a weapon. A rolled up magazine is much faster and has more reach. Now I have a few modern knives. I’ve evolved. They’re still not better than a rolled up magazine in the hands of a 70 year old master, but man are they cool now. I’ve learned the importance of the “fidget factor”. I’m starting to turn into a snob. “For $200 bucks the action should be way smoother than this!” And it goes on and on. Thousands of knives mostly made in China because that’s what American capitalism is about. Good design, good materials, and slave labor means the same knife built in the States will cost twice as much. Go figure. And now I’m getting excited about frigging flashlights. Not sure why. Every household had one Ray O Vac flashlight that hardly ever worked so we just got used to seeing in the dark. Now you can light up the whole neighborhood with something on your keychain. I’m pretty sure I need one. Anyway, sorry for the long boomer/stoner rant. Love your channel and just subscribed.

Sweet!
Good looking flashlight. But i'll stick with regular batteries, easier to carry a spare AA than a charger....that's not included.
