Brilliant, well done. When your vlog notifications pop up on my screen, with those thumbnails showing your smiling face on the way to Santiago, my spirits are immediately lifted. Love how cheerful you remain, even when things might not go to plan.
As a fellow photographer, I really enjoy your shot selection and the music you add I am surprised that it is all done on just your phone. You have a beautiful way of presenting yourself and your journeys. Watch out for the trap on thinking that a bunch of new equipment will make your videos much, much better. I know some additional stuff would be nice but your ‘10,000’ success is that you lead with what is coming from inside you. Keep that up. That is why I watch.

I am usually not a big commenter on youtube, but now I would like to say how much I appreciate and like your genuine videos, sharing the good and the bad on the camino. Don’t worry about the fancy editing equipment, your videos look just great.
I am a fervent hiker and my dad and I were supposed to walk the Frances in 2020, but the passing of dad and subsequent pandemic made me stow away the idea. Watching your videos the past year sparked my enthusiasm again. Next easter break, my wife, kids and I will take on some circular routes of the Rota Vicentina in Algarve. And I am thinking on doing the Caminho da Geira e dos Arrieiros later in the year, starting from Braga, as I have lived in that city for a year.

Hi Nadine, my husband and I are absolutely torn trying to decide where to walk in April, May 2024. We would love to return for another Camino after completing the Primitivo ,our 4th Camino, this year and are considering the San Salvador or the Invierno . On the other hand we can’t decide whether to skip Europe and hike somewhere in our own hemisphere. South America is beckoning! One thing is certain though, with so many in the world just trying to survive the conflicts in their own countries we are very aware of how extraordinarily lucky we are to be able to even consider an overseas walking holiday in 2024.
Nadine, I love your videos, they are so 'gentle and calm' (most of the time) and very easy to watch. I would love to walk part of a camino, but as the carer to my disabled adult son, until my husband retires, its just a 'pipe dream'. Keep doing what you love.

I discovered your videos last winter when I was preparing for the Camino Invierno. It is definitely the path less traveled and you are one of the few who have posted videos on the route. Thank you! I've walked seven caminos. I hope to walk the del Norte in the spring.
No actual planning has happened yet, but I'd love to walk the Via Francigenia in 2024!
My wife and i are going to Italy in April, one week each in Rome, Naples, Sorrento (doing the Amalfi coast that week) and Florence. In 2025 we are walking the coastal route Camino Portuguese. We did the Camino Frances in 2016 and the central Portuguese route in 2019. In 2021 I had my stomach removed due to cancer and am finally recovered enough to be active at 71 years of age. Our plan is to walk one day and rest the next day. Wish me luck.

I am going to start my first camino in March, in time to celebrate my 70th birthday. Your channel has both inspired me to go and helped me with the planning. I especially appreciate the shoe recommendation. Like you I am a fairly private person. Although I am sure many of us would be interested in some of your deeper thoughts please don’t share anything that you are not comfortable having out into the public sphere. You do not owe that to anyone. I think that you offer such a calm space for us to have some idea of what the camino has to offer, and beautifully express your passion for overcoming the challenges and taking joy in the process. I like your video’s because they give me the feeling that I’ll meet you on my long walks. Your way of sharing is really nice I like in a lot. Next year I want to start my Camino in Haarlem (place in Netherlands) and walk - bike - walk to Santiago. First part is from Haarlem to Saint Quentin (north of France), second part is biking from Saint Quentin to Bayonne. I want to do the biking within 5 years. In 5 years i’ll stop working. When I reach that I’ll start my last part and walk del Norte, go to the Primitivo and Santiago. Keep the video’s you make as they are they are good, nice and I can relate to them. Hi Nadine, what a great incentive to provide a comment on your wonderful work. Following your adventures ths year has really raised a quandry for me as to which Camino to walk next year. I have a couple of Camino Frances under my belt and have been pondering the longer solitude of the VdlP route (even though I have a childhood fear of wolves!) I think I am now convinced! Well done on your marvellous work, your thoughtfulness and openness are wonderful to share. Well done on your 10K milestone! - only 10 followers to go as I write. Thank you for this video. I enjoy your "travelogs" as you walk caminos, but videos like this that give the story behind the story make watching subsequent videos more meaningful to me.
Where I am walking next year- Last April I and my dog, Umberto, spent 3 weeks walking on the Camino Frances. We started in Pamplona after spending 2 wonderful days there. During that time, I fell in love with Pamplona. Next March I am returning with both Umberto and my husband to spend 3 months (the maximum visit without a visa) in Pamplona. I plan to walk out from Pamplona on all of the camino paths that enter Pamplona, both on daily walks and on short trips. I am excited to live in one place and get a sense of daily life in a Spanish community. All the best to you as you journey and share that journey with us.
I really enjoy the purity of your videos. Myself, I have not walked a Camino as of yet. Covid interrupted those plans. Now, my goal is to turn 70 in Santiago, which would be June of 2025.

2024 will be a bit of a departure as I will be hiking in the Alsace region of France. After that possibly the Podiensis or the Fishermen’s Trail. Or the Via Algarviana.

Hello Nadine, I better congratulate you now on your 10k subs, which I am sure you will get in the next few days. Those of us who have done a Camino appreciate what it takes to walk, take in the sights and history, as well photograph & film along the Camino. I thank you for putting these together for us and I love them all.
When I did the Camino Frances in late 2022, I said it over and over again that it was going to be my only Camino and while I have remained active and walking long distances, I maintained that I would not be doing another Camino ... fast forward to July of this year I found myself listening to someone recount their Camino Portuguese and right there and then I decided that is the one I will be doing in April 2024 from Lisbon. I am excited and look forward to getting my feet back on the Camino.

Nadine, big thank you for what you do. I have been planning my first Camino for a while, and you have been a sustained inspiration and source of information. I follow several other people on UA-cam for their ideas and lived experiences out in the wide world. Your channel ranks high on my list of subscriptions. I must admit that following a non-celebrity-regular person feels very strange and unidimensional, but I am very grateful we can get to know you this way. God willing, I will be walking El Camino del Norte between Oviedo and SDC via Mondoñedo in the Spring. I am doing intense physical preparation by walking four miles every day and eight miles every weekend. I have also walked 17-20 miles once a month since August. I will be 65 then, but I think I should be fine. "...I am with you always, to the end of the age. Matt. 28,20" Congrats on your large audience; I guess you are a celebrity now. 😄

You asked about where I want to be walking in 2024, and of course, you know, but for everyone else, my aim is to attempt a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. I hope that stunning photograph finds a good home! Here's to the next 10 000 subscribers and the next 10 years of hiking!
My walking plans for 2024 are more in England, where I live. North Wales is just a stones throw away and I love walking through Snowdonia, or heading West to the Coast of Cornwall. I have a weeks holiday booked for Chamonix in the French Alps, some fantastic walking ahead of me there. I would love to get back on the Camino, so that's always on the list and only a 2 hour flight away. Thanks for sharing your thoughts :)

It was a wonderful experience that I have been dreaming of for many years! Your cheerfulness and your ability to keep such a positive attitude even when things go wrong are so inspiring! At the age of 69 and after watching all of your Camino videos I decided to walk the Camino Frances, Invierno and then to Muxia in Spring of 2023. The “how I feel” element to your videos is what makes your videos stand out from others. So much so that I’ve decided to walk the Camino Madrid, San Salvador and Primitivo in Spring/Summer of 2024!! Hi Nadine, and congratulations on (almost) 10,000 subscribers. I have been following for awhile now an really do enjoy your content. What jumped out from this post for me was you 'admitting' that your posts don't tend to be very factual ( and by that I mean they aren't full of commentary that runs along the lines of 'and this bridge was built in xxx by the xxx family, or the church was built in xxx and has a height of xxx. I do think there is a place for that type of camino commentary but i find yours to be far more organic than that, and that is what I enjoy. I think the best way I can explain it is that they are videos about you on the camino, rather than the camino with you on it, the emphasis is different and I think the posts are all the better for it. Keep up the fantastic work and can't wait to see what 2024 brings you. For next year I am hoping to walk the length of the Grand Union Canal here in the UK, 160(ish) miles from London through to Birmingham.

Thank you for sharing your videos. I did my first Camino in March/2020 (the Camino Português Central) starting in Barcelos. But had to stop by Valença due to the advancing of the pandemic. I went back in September/2021 and completed it. Went also to Muxia and Finisterre. I want now to do the Camino Primitivo from Oviedo. Keep it up!
I try to watch all of your videos. They are great, real feelings or upset and food choices or no open bars for food, you cover it all, up front and honest about your feelings.
I love watching all of your videos. I have completed three Caminos since retiring in 2019. In 2024 I will walk the Rota Vicentina having been inspired by your video of that adventure. Beyond that I am considering the Shikoku 88 temple walk in Japan. Is that one on your radar screen?

Congratulations!! 10 000 subscirbers!! And thank you, Nadine❤You are the reason why I started my Camino Francés in June. San Juan Pie de Port - Muxía, 40 days, loosing 13 kg🤩 and I loved every second of the camino. I didn't start prepared, so almost every day was a hard day, but I enjoyed it so much. I did a mini-camino in Santander in October, and I will start the new year, the first of January, making a week long camino from Bilbao to Santander. In February I will make the Camino Finstere Muxía once more, as I really enjoyed it this summer. I have a hole week to make it, so I believe I will make the return from Muxía by walking instead of the bus. Well, that's my plans for the first months of next year. I am lucky to live and work in Spain. I love all of your videos, I love your positivity and great energy. All the best from Alicante.

I’m excited to be training for my first Camino (Frances) starting in April 2024. We won’t have time for the full route, but will do the first and last 100 km segments and a few days in the middle around León. Basic video is great! We're learning from your experience, and I appreciate your daily stages commentary. You are inspirational, and I love learning from your tips. Please consider using music sparingly. Congratulations on 10,000 and climbing. I like your videos because of the balance between technical tips, commentary and some (but not too much) personal stuff. And getting it done at a brisk pace. There are plenty of Camino channels out there so you have competition but you and Robscamino are the only ones I watch regularly. I used to watch “Count Everything” and “Beyond the Way” when I started out but both of them stopped making new content a long time ago.
