I was playing blackjack at a local casino a long time ago. A girl came in with $100 and sat down at the table. The dealer gave her her chips, she bet them all and lost. She went back to her car twice and did the same thing both times, lost that too. She said i drove 100 miles to get here and lost all my money already. Welcome to the casino.

A few years ago I played Blackjack at the MGM Grand. I was up as much as $50, but finished down $150. Losing $150 isn't much, but leaving with $100 like this guy would have been a whole lot better.

I did the same thing on my way from Chicago to Texas at boarder of Missouri and Oklahoma exit 1 but I beat only $150. Those guys at that table called me crazy, but I got so nervous that I couldn’t played more than one hand. The dealer gave me three cards with total of 16 and I stopped taking any cards from dealer. Then the dealer took some cards from the deck and he got over 22 total. 😂😂😂😂

This guy called Allen, he was a high-roller, he was a very rich man, owned one of the biggest mattress companies in Canada. The dealers don't work for the casino. They work for themselves. The casino hates when people tip because that is money that the casino can't win back. When you keep you own, you are dealing as fast and friendly as you can because that tip money is 75% of your wages. Dont take it out on the dealer, they just deliver your cards. And trust me, MOST of the time the dealers WANT you to win because their livelihood depends on it.

I do see a lot of misconceptions within the comments as well. Firstly as far as black jack goes if you learn perfect basic strategy, understand the running count, bet accordingly etc. You will gain an edge over the house (which is why the dealer always knows how to card count.). However 99% of people don't know how to so criticizing the average player for leaving while he is ahead is dumb, which is evident of the other comments.

I don't gamble much- but let's turn the table around. He goes all in, LOST and bounce. Will the dealer say " are you done?". Would it be rude to bounced at that moment when he already lost his first card, with all that money?
I don't understand why would he owe the other players/ or the casino/ or the dealer another game. And if so, when is it courteous to leave the table- specifically when you're winning? He tipped the dealer, it's a strange custom, as the dealer has no control over anything. My cousin is a dealer in a casino and the tips really help her though.

What's an absolute gem is when you're playing on 2 spots, first spot dealer pulls 2 x tens, second spot dealer pulls 9 and 2, split the first hand and pull 2 x tens second hand you double down and dealer pulls a 9, all this against a dealers 4, you then stand thinking you got this, dealer flips card and its a 7 and then draws a 10 👏

blackjack is just about measuring how hot the deck is, it's true, when you get a blackjack the deck is considered hot, that means all basic strategy is premium, but when its not hot, reverse basic strategy is there to fix the deck such as staying on 14 against a ten, hitting on 2 against a four, other things also fix the deck such as hitting on 19 against a 7, you just gotta play reverse strategy till the deck is running fixed, you'll see cards like three 7's when its fixed, not that it matters but its cool to see a deck run like that, blackjack is also about memorizing patterns when the deck is not hot or hot, it works.
