usually it's all on BossFHockey.com but I don't currently have any grips, I need to order some from gribbid, but most hockey shops have these
Saw ur video. What's the lacing for? It is to make it easier to position my hands when likd example hitting?
It's to give a little extra grip in the wet as there is some 3d element to the grip to hold onto
Hi! I am considering on using a chamois tape, but I heard that there's a different type which uses a bandage type of grip! I'm not sure if the bandage kind are good.. Any advice?
Hi there, it all depends on where you are based, in Europe chamois are very popular because they offer really good grip in wet conditions, in warmer climates some players prefer to use different types of bandage tapes as a grip. I have tried a lot of these but I much prefer a chamois grip but I am based in the UK. Where are you based?
I find hte chamoix grip to be too slippery in the dry - which is most of the time in dry weather, even if playing on water turf. It's only good when raining or in other words, wet. I find good quality bandage grip, like for example this - www.d3tape.com/c90-cohesive/ - to be really effective in dry AND wet conditions. Another question is - do you think adding extra grips to the stick negatively affects the balance point and weight distribution of the stick?
I think type of grip is a very personal preference. I am based in the UK so I'm often playing in wet conditions, to get the most out of a chamois grip you should wet it before use. I have tried a lot of different tape grips but I find they don't perform well in really wet conditions, the glue seeps out onto the handle and gives you inconsistent grip.
I personally don't think the small amount of weight added by grip and tape has too much of an effect on the weight and balance of a stick.
