Love that we're on the cusp of widely used conversational AI! Be cautious enabling this in a healthcare context; if your AI gives someone medical advice resulting in personal injury, not going to be a fun day for anyone
Given that AI is now diagnosing illness better than doctors, the lawsuits will decrease... Now that won't mean everyone jumps on the bandwagon immediately, but for sure it's coming, and just like self driving cars have fewer accidents, AI medicine will have overall less malpractice lawsuits.
Dude it's $22. If you think that is expensive for this tech you must be super young and never had to put up with robotic rubbish text to speech for most of your online life.
Hate to break it to you, but that would make things even worse. Chatbots are not able to make decisions and will not be trusted to do so for the time being. So whenever you need your problem solved, you’ll still be connected to a human representative which will just make the whole thing much longer
All for it. I worked at a call center and rarely had a hard time with callers (learned diffusion skills early by working at GameStop of all places!) but this could absolutely help. People on the other side have NO idea what Call Centers are like: Phones need to be answered, customers taking their problems out on the rep....even if we have NO idea what's going on, problems need to be solved/documented, payments need to be made, emails read/sent, follow-up research etc...and all within the timelines to meet a quota. That being said, AI can be used to handle calls, while the reps handle the things AI cannot at this point. The culture and practices of Call Centers isn't an experience I wish on anyone.
Replacing swaths of people with self serve systems that surely wont waste time on non-solutions. And increase the amount of spam and scam phone calls.
