Given that AI is now diagnosing illness better than doctors, the lawsuits will decrease... Now that won't mean everyone jumps on the bandwagon immediately, but for sure it's coming, and just like self driving cars have fewer accidents, AI medicine will have overall less malpractice lawsuits.

    All for it.
I worked at a call center and rarely had a hard time with callers (learned diffusion skills early by working at GameStop of all places!) but this could absolutely help. People on the other side have NO idea what Call Centers are like:
Phones need to be answered, customers taking their problems out on the rep....even if we have NO idea what's going on, problems need to be solved/documented, payments need to be made, emails read/sent, follow-up research etc...and all within the timelines to meet a quota.
That being said, AI can be used to handle calls, while the reps handle the things AI cannot at this point. The culture and practices of Call Centers isn't an experience I wish on anyone.

@@AustrianEconomist If the goal is just to minimize cost per minute of speech then sure but I have to imagine that customer satisfaction would go up and time to resolve issues would go down vs using non-native speakers. There's also a lot of benefit to an agent that can speak pretty much any language unless you have a global network or are serving a pretty homogeneous group. Where I live, service is either in English or sometimes in Spanish and people are expected to learn but they're generally going to have a better experience if they're able to use their first language.

Love it - this would be very useful in my company and I'm their head of AI. Question: how would these interact with our native systems for things like function calling and database lookups? It's not really an agent unless it can do that. The video showed a few examples of the models processing requests which I'd assume its running some function in the background, is this easy to setup and connect a variety of functions or tools it may use to process requests? Would love to hear more or a demo as well!

@@gREeNodDmOnKE No he has a point. It costs around $100 for ~8 hours of continuous conversation. Comparing this with a 8 hour 22 workday per month call center shift, it would cost $2200 for an equivalent AI agent. Call centers in India pay as low as $200 per human agent and these guys work for 12 hours.

I'm not even joking, I'd pay $5 in API credits for an LLM to sit on a phone for me while a company's "retention" tries to waste my time.

havent tried it, but considering you can choose an LLM it's not like voice mode from open ai, it's more like:
speech to text -> text to LLM -> LLM response to voice.

Don't they train on prompts and data they get through the API?

need sales agents to cold call potential customers, track them and release mail and voice notes in a more humane way possible, that too with an understanding of the customers response through out the process, any agents for these specific purposes?

So you literally have no scientific or programmatic perspective on the matter. And I am pretty sure ChatGPT is more intelligent than you are. Keep thinking that way buddy.. when the AI is reading your mind it's not going to like what it finds. Which it will be reading minds soon.. even pulling videos / images out of your head from memories. So you should reconsider calling something that will have that ability a washing machine... cause it will for sure treat you like a toaster at that point.

The work of the illustrators and animators of this video is incredible. It was very fluid and elegant. They were inspired by the Gradient styles of Apple videos. Still, a great job. AI is a long, long way from creating motion graphics at that level and I hope AI never reaches that level.
