I've never really liked mono black, but honestly this deck looks a lot more fun than anything I've ever played before!

Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah it's good clean fun just jamming Planewalkers. Being heavy or mono Black lets you use Dark Ritual, but you can build Superfriends in many combinations of colors. I have a few more I've been working on! The downside is that these kind of decks are very costly as far as Wildcards.

23:30 Although unnecessary to prevent a Ragavan hit, it still prevents Ragavan from hitting Karn

Hey that's right! Thanks for pointing that out, it makes me feel a lot better about that decision lol. I can't remember my original reasoning for animating the Ring, but I'm glad it wasn't a completely useless move haha

I’ve always loved mono black but it’s never really viable in 60 card formats, one of the reasons I love commander tho. Great video, very entertaining.

Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it!
I also like Mono Black, I have multiple Mono Black Commander decks and love to Tinker with it in Timeless. Turns out being able to run 4x Dark Ritual helps to enable a lot of nonsense! lol

Man, at a local modern event with 34 players, I had 4 mana, 16 life, leyline of the guildpact on the board and my hand was scion of draco, bolt, stubborn denial and break out. My opponent was tapped, playing rakdos discard and at 8 life. This was game 3, and since in game 1 I died to his combo of bowmasters + wheel of fate (both players discard their hand and draw 7 cards), I desperately wanted to gain some more life.
So I decided to go scion + break out, found a brawler, hit for 5 which puts him at 3 and me at 21. He had a lot of mana since the game was well developed, so he went with burning inquiry discarding my stubborn and bolt, went for sheoldred + bowmasters + another wheel, which killed me instantly. If only I had played it more safe and held onto my open mana for stubborn denial, lol

      @@BugioPimposo Oh man, that's a tough one!
Was there an option to lead with Break Out hoping to hit a 5-power creature then Bolt for the win (win Stubborn backup)? Or did they have potential blockers? Either way, the most painful losses are the most preventable ones haha

@@priorityholder Wow, you're right, I completely missed lethal there XD I only had 1 red land, but since I also had leyline, could very well ended the game there, which I didn't notice. I was under the impression that I had to choose between break out and bolt, lol. Good catch!

I was playing historic nunjutsu deck against wizards. Had one silverfur master and some creature on board. Go attack all and opponent didn't block, so i started nunjutsuing my thousand-faced shadow. First ninjutsu cost me 1 colorless mana and 1 blue and my autotapper decided to tap on that colorless mana some painland and in the end of my ninjutsu cycle i got left with 1 black swamp and wasn't been able to ninjutsu last time with that thousand-faced shadow. I was 1 damage off. I got all the perfect answers all game and could have been killed him with one perfect attack but i lost because i didn't thought autotapper would troll me that much. 😂

@@BugioPimposo The thing about the play I suggested though, is that it is speculative. If you don't hit a 5-power creature off Break Out, then you don't have lethal AND if you whiff completely then Stubborn isn't Ferocious. Tough to say what the right move was!
Have you tried Domain in Timeless? I've been tinkering with a list, but haven't tried it yet.
