INTP - hadn't heard about golden pairing, met someone randomly on voice chat one day and wondered why we were immediately very deeply interesting to each other. Talked for hours for days after that. After discussing each other's type, found various articles about INTP-INFJ pairing and everything we read explained everything we'd experienced without knowing why. After that I find it hard to consider the value of the opinion of those who say MBTI is worthless.

I’m an INFJ and my husband is an INTP. We clicked right away. We met on a Thursday. He called me the next day and we arranged a date for that Saturday a full two days after we met. We’ve been together ever since and that was 23 years ago.
We have the best conversations together and talk about everything and anything. One time we talked for hours, yes literally hours, about what we thought would have happened in the present Americas if Europeans never “discovered” it. I can’t imagine discussing such a topic with anyone else I have ever known, but he was very happy to.

That's how my boyfriend (INTP) and me (INFJ) got together too, never felt this connected to a person before. I'm normally very shy with strangers, but with him I was just myself completely. Our first date was 10h long, we completely forgot the time and my sis and my parents started writing me, because they thought I was kidnapped or sth 😂 And all this time we talked and even in the moments we weren't talking, I felt peaceful and comfortable around him. And for 3 months we saw eachother nearly everyday after that. I think that says everything. INTP female here! Somehow most of my closest friends are INFJs 😂😂 we have a deep and precious understanding between us (awkward silences aren't very awkward but comfortable, our humour click) and they can somehow always sense and bring out the emotions in me (as a rather stoic and not very openly expressive person, I am quite surprised). Without them, I'd probably be feeling much lonelier, isolated, and having more 'camping in my room away from the rest of the world as though I'd never see the light of the day ever again' sessions. Truly grateful (and appreciative) of their presence every time

If you can agree on kids, spending, in laws, life goals, etc., then you can more comfortably get physical and use Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds and the Life Uncontained couple as examples of incredible “friends first” relationships.

I find I get along so easily with INTPs and it is always so easy to be around them and feel seen, heard and understood. It feels surreal but it is totally real.
As an INTP, people usually seem to believe were fake or lying about the way we feel. So knowing you understand we really do mean what we say and how we feel actually makes me feel happy. It's like finding a lotus flower in a rose bush.

I am a very obvious INTP and my oldest/best friend is an INFJ - we've "clicked" immediately upon our first meeting (which, as someone who despises small talk, this is a very rare occurrence for me). Something I found quite entertaining was that when we both decided to take the MBTI test some years back we decided not to tell each other the results until we both guessed each others type - We both guessed the others type, her response to me when I asked her rationale for guessing INTP she just replied with "It's the only one that fits you, if your result says anything else then you need to retake the test.".
I’m and INTP too, and I know the exact “click” you’re talking about. I’ve only experienced it once, when I was younger. But unfortunately I was very immature back then and couldn’t properly uphold my end of the relationship. I haven’t felt that way for anyone ever again and I’m afraid I never will

I'm an INFJ female and my partner aN INTP male. I knew I had a special relationship with my partner when we could do 20 hour drives back and forth between our hometown and where we lived talking almost the whole time, laughing, and enjoying deep conversation. Since Day 1 we have been around each other everyday, working and living together. Our differences surface when needing to make decisions based on Fi (which we both lack). We also experience friction between Si and Se (this comes out when shopping for real estate). But otherwise anything intuitive, abstract, or differing everyday mundaneness we flourish. We also hit snags when dealing with emotionally charged situations. Otherwise we have a lot of fun together and I love to squeeze my INTP on any given day! We've been together for 8 years now.

Yet, when we started talking almost at the beginning of the year, I told her “I feel like I have known you my entire life.” And she’s the same way. After taking the test, it made sense and watching this video, it made sense why we both felt like that in the beginning.

i am intp boy, and my little sister is infj. Many of my friends doesnt get along too much with their bros-sist relationships. While us, have a deep relationship with each other, even my sister doesn't hesitate me to touch her as i want. That means our bonds is just too close, and it additionally proven by other people seeing us too close, while having an opposite gender. And makes them feel jealous when see us. INTP Married to an INFJ. We can definitely understand each other's need for alone time. It is difficult at times because he can be irrational.
I'm an INTP who had the most exciting yet devastating relationship with an INFJ. Our experience together were extremes. When things were good with us we were extremely happy but when things got bad between us it was equally extremely devastating. There were no mid range. We would break up and make up regularly until one day I ended it and locked her out my life completely. Its been over a year without contact and even though l never stop missing her I prefer to remain single and relatively happy than being in a relationship with a cycle of extreme excitement and depression.

@@alydesf5875 as an intp male 40 years old i feel like that could have been me at 20 but now im less judgmental, and i value being less rigid. logic by itself is a dead end, honestly i think i would be mature enough to invest in life with an infj... i believe they need to be healthy also... honestly ive seen the bottom half of intp males seem to be barely functioning stuck in fear loops. maybe a more balanced intp is better for you? 🤷🏻♂️

I often get in conflict with my INFJ friend for being "too rigid", as she quite often asserts and we go back and forth with me trying to explain to her that she's being too emotional and it's inefficient while her trying to tell me that efficiency doesn't matter as much as how I'm making other people feel ( a point I'd argue lolol) ... but ultimately we can't seem to just call our friendship quits ... its not unhealthy, but we would definitely argue less with some other person ... but we're continously and forever drawn to each other. It's super weird and I think it goes beyond the MBTI ... I believe there is an innate aspect of human beings that we cannot conceptualize that makes us drawn to certain people and while the MBTI provides groundwork for that concept ... I dont believe it's fully understood in this day and age as yet. ✌🕉😁

perhaps my newly found confidante is an intp. we share so much, we don't hesitate to say what we mean, we don't hold back on new ideas and discuss for hours many topics in detail. he's urged me to take time for myself, to not always be so dependable to others, to quit rescuing others. i had increasingly done that for others and was getting tired, so hearing him say that just opened up another side of him that i love. he phones/texts/see me and me to him also, no questions on why we do that. from a grateful infj

INFJs and INTPs both have relationship problems but for opposite reasons. INTPs have underdeveloped social skills, INFJs have underdeveloped analytical skills which gives them trust issues. I think this is why they can make a good pair if they're both honest and patient with each-other.

@@PSYCH-O You're correct. INFJs' relationship problems come from their underdeveloped Se causing them a potential disconnection with reality and the present situation. This can create unrealistic expectations for a perfect relationship. I spent so much time idealizing my perfect relationship but nothing never corresponded perfectly to it, so I was always depressed. Now that I stopped and just let it be to accept little imperfections, my relationships are way healthier!

I'm an INFJ and I have a close friend that I get along so well with... found out she's INTP and this video explains the rest.
I thought it's ENFP. But my experience can confirm. The INTP I had the honor to date/relationship was a very good match for me.
I originally planned to not care about getting into a relationship before getting completely settled in to a good and stable life... Than an ESFJ ruined my plans. The was the most beautiful woman I ever meat with the most attractive personality. But unfortunately, we worked in the same store, which would actually ruin the complete stability I've been working on achieving. Especially after she moved to the same department. Then I ended up finding out she had health problems that would complicate things even more, which made me feel uncomfortable, knowing I still couldn't stop thinking about her. Especially with how often we ended up working together. Especially with every other familiar quiting. Then she became my bosses Boss as an undercover AM. I thought when she told me she was getting married to a friend from over-nights it would give me enough reason to stop liking her, but it still didn't seem to matter. And after working with her even more closely just to get overtime, I ended up freaking out and asking to be moved to over-nights because of how I felt. I especially didn't like her calm demeanor, especially when I was trying to test how uncomfortable I could make her with the facts alone. I was actually most disappointed with how much she just keeped thinking out loud the way she started connecting coincidences. She ended up becoming my best friend after helping me deal with my past about a week later. But unfortunately, she seems to think I don't believe how much she loves her husband and doesn't doesn't stop trying to explain why she does whenever I'm just being honest with certain situations. And after this last time going camping, she seems to have changed her demeanor around me for the 4th time and it's been causing me anxiety. And now that I've finally figured out how to properly understand why I actually ended up falling in love with her, I've realized how emotionally driven I ended up becoming, which ended up turning my anxiety into panic attacks.
Now I'm trying to figure out how to resolve my new problem so that I can stop making impulsive decisions that ruin my plans for a stable future. And it really doesn't help being afraid that I'm pushing everyone away trying to ask everyone for help. Especially with my boss seemingly ignoring me most. And this is the 5th time she's drastically changed her demeanor around me and it scares me. Especially after she ended up denying telling me stuff and changing what actually happened. And now I'm afraid of not trusting her. Especially knowing her husband fired the last associate she sent to work over-nights. So now I've been looking to move to any other daytime department to move to so I can get that 4 year experience on my first job finally put down on my resume without the complications of the friends I've made making my anxiety worse.
Meanwhile, I've been researching MBTI, which also seems to creep people out whenever I accidentally know more about them than they tell people. So yeah... There are a lot of people causing me anxiety and I can only do my best to stay away from everyone to try and restabilize myself in a more consistent and understandable investment with little to no changes ruining my general perception of understanding.
Now, I need to find a INFJ girl as an INTP guy.

Maybe a ENFJ may be a better choice for an INFJ, but for me as an INTP it is more complicated.
The usual suggestions are an ESFJ or an ENTJ , but I can see several obstacles , that will raise strongly in the case of conflicts.
The mix of both , the ESTJ for me is even the most prooblematic type.
