I am Tom's son Nick. I think it is great you have published this. I approve!. I have not seen this performance before. I am still amazed at his talent and love of the organ. After seeing this performance, I understand why it is the king of instruments. Please keep this up so the world can see. Thank you!
What a proud son you must be Nick , the finest theatre organist you'll hear . His arrangements are fantastic . A much loved organist who inspired and still inspires many organists today. Im fortunate to own an Allen organ and I have a couple of disks your father did and I have my own little concert of him playing in the comfort of my home . A real credit to the theatre organ world
What a treat to hear Tom Play again. When Tom was active in the San Francisco Bay Area, he did all the existing Theater Organ venues, of which we had some notables. Strangely, my wife and I had a chance to see him in Concert on this instrument (or one just like it.) in our local Opry House in Newberry S.C., of all places. He passed from us not long after. Grew up watching Tom as an early teen. (Yeah, I was a strange kid.) Tom, along with Edward Stout designed some very nice installations. It was no venue for such a fantastic instrument but his best was put in a Pizza Parlor in Redwood City, CA. Many nights watching him and a few other gifted artists play on the 4-32 Wurlitzer. OMG! Did I get in trouble coming home in S.F. at 4:00 AM after they would close the doors and the artists would just let their hair down. Tom was on the top of my list of World Class organists. We lost him so young. He set up the instrument for me to come play.At just 12 I was the youngest to ever touch that organ. Played to a packed house of nearly 20. Man was I floored when I turned around and everyone was on their feet after a clumsy atempt at Bloody May from South Pacific. and Going to Wash that Man Right Out of my Hair.. Tom and Jim Rosvere were giving me the stops as I needed them. What a thrill for a kid with a Hammond Regent. My Wife are about to turn 60 and I am missing someone that made such a huge impression in my life. Tom, You left us too soon.
Met Tom decades ago in Northern California at a Rodger’s Organ dealership. After a most enjoyable afternoon of his artistry, he was most gracious to invite me to a performance in Los Angeles where he would accompany an Alfred Hitchcock movie at the LA Museum. Well, what a grand gala. Again, another outstanding performance! How wonderful is his memory to me.
Tom Hazelton a wonderful organist, and a great guy to chat with, is surely missed. I can't believe it's been eight years since his passing. His 72nd birthday would have been next month September 27 2014. www.sierrachapteratos.org/hazleton.html
Though it's difficult to tell on UA-cam, I think Allen has progressed greatly in their theatre organ design in recent years. Hazleton does a great job with this instrument, though.
Larsky1010. Not sure that your Allen comment is relevant but: I have an Allen theatre organ with Tom's autograph inside the console, plus MIDI files of him playing the Allen. A treat!
Care for something different? A 1928 Kimball theatre organ in Juneau, Alaska. Selections include Beatles, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Twisted Sister, Scorpions, Cinderella, Alice Cooper and more: ua-cam.com/video/dWxYGdOJL1o/v-deo.html
What does your inappropriate comment have to do with this recording or Tom Hazelton? No doubt you're the featured "artist" with the musical crap you list. Pity the poor Kimball.
I hope this video stays here forever......it's simply awesome. Tom was fantastic!

I was very lucky to meet Tom at NAMM and then see him several more times there. A very talented man and a person with many anecdotes to share.

@@randellfranklynbusby2334 Well, at least I don't attack other artists from the cowardly safety of cyberspace.
