Bb Diatonic Harmonica Arpeggio Workout #1

Richard Sleigh runs through a series of 7th chords on a key of Bb diatonic harmonica. This series starts with the root note C. Harmonica Tab - number with plus sign ex: 1+ is a blow note, plain number ex: 1 is a draw note, an apostrophe means a half step bend ex: 2' - 2 draw half step bend, 2'' - 2 draw whole step bend.

I been looking for the Non-Slider from Seydal and found on a better price but not in C as most classes seem to be but in Bb.... Is a chromatic Non-slider... Will I feel I am missing out somehow if I chose this model in Bb and not keep looking for one in C? I really like this model both the feel of it, the function and the look.. but the one I found is in Bb.. please help me understand if this is good choice or is better to look for one in C? I like all kinds of music, so is also why I liked the Non-slider that felt more close to how pianos are built up.. but I know too little to tell what will be better to play on a Bb vs a C? what music will Bb be better for than a C for example? thanks for nice video!

bravo!!!, nunca habia visto un ejercicio asi de harmonica. I have a question: Do i have to hack my harmonica to play those 3 ''' blend notes? or is it just the tecnique? i play harmonica not so often but i play it from quite a long time ago, and i have never get to that three '''' bending.

Hi Berenjena, to play -3''' you need proper technique. It does help to have the reeds adjusted correctly, but that is NOT something that you MUST do -- only if the 3 hole reeds are poorly gapped and shaped, then you will find it impossible to play it.

Unfortunately you have to bend notes to play this. I can’t bend notes.

Only one way to learn is by doing it. You’ve got to learn if you want to play music with the harmonica.
