I recommend "the beauty of Light Sleeper 1992
Pretty good job, but I'd have liked a shorter version over the unedited theme heard in this - and without so much spoiler content.
Why repeating the first *1:30* of the music? What's the problem with the part we don't hear that there would be after the video ending?
RIP Ennio Morricone. Greatest film composer of all time.
Jack NicholTorrance.........Morricone was absolutely superb and a genius - but John Barry was a close second. [as an example - simply listen to the following extracts: ua-cam.com/video/EDTCiLRtr9I/v-deo.html / JOHN BARRY 'Frances' End Titles Original Film Version 1982 - UA-cam / (1) Midnight Cowboy (1969) - Music Video - Harmonica Theme - UA-cam
That's an understatement
Absolutely agree!
and especially Sergio Leone - one of the most outstanding, highest level filmmakers of all time
@@assylkhanovkz sad that even today when they finally recognize Spaghetti Westerns as good, many still watch them as novelty films. I thought they were simply that, novelty movies full of cliches. But I was breathtaken, especially at Once Upon a Time in the West. Definitely one of the greatest films I've ever watched, I feel like crying just thinking about how beautiful it is.
This movie is a masterpiece
@Guilherme A. The best movie ever made, period.
The movie was great but was extremely slow. The script was like 2 pages made into almost a 3 hour movie. That is not necessarily bad but I just couldn't enjoy this film as much as you did. Whilst the Trillogy (For a Few Dollars more, A fistful of Dollars and the good the bad and the ugly) where way better for me to watch and enjoy.
@@usimortis1940 Luckily for art, this is not about ENJOY, it's about understanding a shot or a narrative ark. "Enjoy" Tarantino and such, then, and forget about Lubitsch, Ford, Fuller, Wilder, Resnais, Wenders, ...
@@nhoussin That I can agree with.
i think i didn't understand this movie that much to say it a masterpiece music was amazing camera work was amazing but would you plz explain why you think its a masterpiece
The scene when she enters the trainstation and the camera goes up over the station accompanied with the swelling music gives me every time shivers regardless the many times I have seen this . It's epic camerawork combined with music.
Exactly my experience.
Same for me ❤️. Pure directorial brilliance ❤️👍
Robert Zemeckis paid tribute to that shot by staging it in Back to the Future III.
Then through monument valley.
I love this film. It’s like watching an opera. The best western ever made
The greatest film ever made.
@@brianvincent4165 it’s certainly up there 😎
The good the bad and the ugly is the best Western ever made, my opinion
@@brianvincent4165 Yes it is complete package.
@@user-tu3bi7uu6u Nahh
Stunning angles and composition by Sergio Leone, the type of great use of camera work we often don't see in today's movies, true masterpiece.
Right. When every bloody movie is all CGI, no acting, & a crap script, who worries about trivia like camera angles, framing, and cinematography!
and spectacular scores by Ennio Morricone
don't forget about that
Here we go. Same old 'The old movies are better ....' YES, This film is amazing, BUT there are still great films being made. Don't be frozen in the past.
I'm not sure people have the patience for it now ie the market for big budget. You do find it in art house though. Winding Refn for example.
@mm43501 Just like music of the '50s, '60s and '70s.....there will never be music like that !
Best western of all time probably
I got a preference for the good the bad the ugly 😉
i agree!
Best spaguetti western
This, the wild bunch, and stagecoach take the cake for me
@@mauriciomurga20 I mean, If you talk about the best western in history im pretty sure it would be a spaguetti western lol
This is my favorite western, followed closely by "The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly". Sergio Leone's incredible eye for shot composition and period accuracy, and his casting choices. Ennio Morricone's operatic, ethereal compositions. True masterpiece.
I'm so glad you used this track. This is one of my all-time favorite movies and the theme is, perhaps, the most beautiful film composition ever recorded!
is it also used in once upon a time in america
Amapola. Once Upon A Time In America.
One of the best movies ever made, haunting yet beautiful at the same time. "only at the point of dying"
2 Birds 1 Stone......'So you found out you're not a businessman after all'. One of the best scenes in this spectacularly magnificent film.
What do you mean "one of the best" Name a better film.
Tombstone is right up, there but lacks the soundtrack.

The music and the cinematography bring me to tears every time I watch this movie
Me too, and I have watched this movie over 300 times, and still counting!
And Claudia has to be the most beautiful actress that ever lived. She’s just as stunning as the cinematography
To think film before this in the Alps filming pink panther
@@pault1964: I'm a big Sellers fan, but for me that movie was a waste of celluloid. Better off as guitar picks.
And almost as good as in The Professionals.

Sergio Leone, one of the greatest visual directors of all time.
"The beauty of Once Upon a Time in the West"
You should have shown up the whole movie...
Arguably the best opening scene I have ever seen. A masterpiece by Great Sergio Leone.
The scene at the station when Claudia walks through the station hall to the stage in one shoot. Possibly the finest scene of any film with the fantastic music to atch it
Sergio Leone biggest talent was picking Ennio Morricone to compose the music for his films. I cannot imagine this film without Morricone's brilliant music.
Such a haunting quality to it. Now that sadness extends to these wonderful style of films too digital and cgi have forever sullied the industry.
I was waiting for this comment... I'm not sure few of these movies would've been half as good without his amazing music, people aren't aware of that I think. Morricone's music is always brilliant.
@@vladimird5280 Always...where there's a good film, there's a good soundtrack !...it's mathematical.
My favorite scene of the movie is actually Jill Mc Bain's carriage ride at the beginning of the movie. The cinematography in that scene made me speechless. Pure beauty! I'm actually surprised that part wasn't in the video
you're so right
My favorite is Jack Elam trapping the fly in his pistol barrel. One of the best, understated comedic moments in film.
My fav scene is when Morton, the "evil" railroad tycoon, was dying. This fragile old man crawls with all his strength to die next to the only body of water he was able to reach, a pathetic little stream by his destroyed railcar. All he wanted to do was see the pacific.
Mine too. I started crying to be honest in that scene. So Beautiful"
That scene froze me in my sit while some tears were starting to sprout from my eyes...
Ennio Morricone for the win
I never forget this movie in my life. wonderful music. great photography.
A work of pure art ❤
The light and the depth... It's technically perfect. Each shot looks like a painting
Really need movies like this again. One of the best ever.
My favorite western of all time great cast and soundtrack. I can’t recall how many times I’ve seen it, but the music gets me every time.
Probably the greatest music ever in one of the best films ever! I think that's the music people hear when they die and go to heaven, just beautiful, absolutely beautiful!
This and 'Awaken' by Yes.
Beautifully filmed, beautifully acted by an all-star cast, and beautifully scored. An authentic western masterpiece!
One of the most beautiful movies ever made. The music score is unforgettable and the photography so beautiful.
The greatest film ever made.
Yes my friend, it has it all.
You needed "The Professionals" to get that!
Without a doubt.
I reckon so.
Best Western I would say.
One of the greatest movies of all time I love the soundtrack I want to find Time in the West it was my favorite movie I'm 70 years old now but I'll never forget it
My favorite movie lf all time!! You've made a wonderful video as always!! Keep it up!
Thank you so much!
What a brilliance,a masterpiece indeed, well thats Sergio Leone and Ennio Moricone, bravo for them
The acting, cinematography and hauntingly beautiful music score in this movie was superb! And oh yeah... Claudia Cardinale was a FOX!!
I don’t think a film has ever affected me as much as Once Upon A Time In The West did.
Says the one with a Reservoir Dogs Profile Pic 😂
Schenck Films And? Are you trying to say that Reservoir Dogs is a bad film? Or that I should be embarrassed for having RD as my profile pic?
Makes two of us my friend
The Shawshank Redemption probably got me the most.
I reckon so my friend.
It's crazy. Towards the end there. I can feel the southwestern sun on my chest just seeing Bronson in that shot. The classic spaghetti western in Blueray. There is nothing like it. For me anyway. As I was born in Wyoming and lived near the deserts of Arizona and Southern California. Now in Texas. The Southwest is really captured in the Spaghetti Western despite being shot mostly in Spain. Still , it's probably the reason I love my cowboy action and my sunsets over endless desert skies.
Jill: "I hope you'll come back someday."
Harmonica (looking out through the open door): "Someday"
The greatest movie ever made. Truly perfect in every way
If there is such a thing as perfection this is it.
Was slow and predictable

The greatest film ever made.
Eerily haunting score. It's what compels one to keep watching this one of a kind classic.
Je m'en lasse jamais de la revoir :)
Une masterclass et quel Musique de dingue.
This film is too beautiful.
Ennio Morricone. - Can do no wrong in my eyes 👀. This certainly is one of his best From Once upon a Time in America. I went to see a live show at Wembley Arena London. It was a fantastic show. I’m glad I got the opportunity to see him perform live. He was such a talented composer. He knew how to entertain an audience. He’ll be sadly missed from his musical scores. Well done Ennio.
This is to my knowledge the only film for which the term Masterpiece is an understatement.
Technically this might just be the greatest movie ever made.
There are great movies, there are masterpieces and then you have this category I don't even have a name for.
- One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest
- The Shawshank Redemption
- The Big Country
- The Sound of Music
- The Godfather
- 12 Angry Men
- It is a Wonderful Life
- Seven Samurai
- The Goodfellas
- Taxi Driver
One of the greatest cinematic experience of mine....What a beautiful movie
What a giant of a film!! Made superlative with Ennio Morricone's epic music.
I love this movie.... this music....
I just watched the movie for the first time, a week ago. It was a great movie. I came to know it from a young female singer Amira who sang the music from it. The comments said see the movie. Glad I did and the music was beautiful. Amira sung it beautifully too. It was nice to be able to place the piece in the movie
My all-time favorite movie
Truely an art masterpiece.
This tune always melts my heart.

To jest tak piekny Film,ze mozna go ogladac wiecznie i ta przepiekna Melodia...
Thank you! Great job doing this. Maybe I'm being too overly dramatic but this movie is the GREATEST of ALL the Italian/Spaghetti western genre movies out there.......perhaps of ANY classic western film on earth that has ever been made. To say this movie is a masterpiece is....understating it. The musical score is...well....unmatched.
Greatest western EVER made!
Yes, it is truly a remarkable movie. I am thinking you might have included a clip or two more of Monument Valley, which is one of the most striking places on the planet. I love the shot of Jill heading out to Sweetwater in the wagon with Monument Valley all around. And the final shot of Jill looking wistfully out the door as Harmonica leaves. It's magic.
The story is truly emotive, it isn't only one story, its the climax of five long stories.
Jill, Harmonica, Cheyenne, Frank and Morton.
The way they meet each other flows just natural, and I personally loved the relationship between Jill and Cheyenne. Such a lovely story.
@@eduardogomez2232 Excellent points.

I have watched the "keep your ever lovin' brother happy" scene many times, awesome film
This movie gives me an overwhelming feeling of loneliness and emotion with the music and story just brilliant
I was living in LA. Working as a story analyst. Hustling as a screenwriter. Getting paid but never stopping. No time off and not much sleep. One night, I woke up at 2AM and that was it. I might as well turn on the TV. This film was on. I didn't know its title or pedigree because I'd missed the credits. But I couldn't look away. I really have to try and sleep - but I'll watch another 5 minutes first ...because I simply could not lift the remote to turn this off. I knew that I ought to. I knew that I had work tomorrow and deadlines and all that. But I just could. not. turn. it. off. I _had_ to know what happened next. If you're reading this, you already know how that went. I watched it through to the end, that night. And once I found out the title, I bought a copy. This film is ... whatever words I say next will only do it an injustice. Stumble into it or intentionally choose it - I don't care. Just watch it. This film was woke before #woke was a thing.

From interstellar to her to 2001 and once upon a time in the west.... I love your work! And hope you keep the channel going for a long time ❤️👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you very much! 😊
The blue eyes of Bronson on a full 70 mm screen, aided by the out-of-the-world music by Morricone created a magic which perhaps no other film of its genre could produce. The surprising absence of Eastwood didn't hamper the gusto since Bronson took the cudgels very well. This one western led to many Bombay films made in later years like Khote Sikkey (Useless Coins) and notably Sholay (Embers of Revenge). The legendary theme The Man With The Harmonica played recurringly in the film is a timeless musical argosy, and will live on forever. Morricone and Leone, salute to the Italian duo. RIP!
The opening sequence of this movie is legendary to me. It haunts me
Harmonica and Frank's presentation could be easily lone western shorts and still being so cool
Bellissimo video per me uno dei più bei film della storia del Cinema.
