Got a 2023 VX HO Ltd end of season last year. No problem with the gas gauge, goes to three bars without the low fuel buzzer going off. The 1.8 mill has plenty of grunt, as much as I ever need. After putting about thirty hours on it, I can hit about 62-63 mph on smooth water (but seldom do). I weigh about 185, so it's clearly putting all 180 horses out efficiently. I rode a Kawasaki ZXi 1100 for many years and thought it was a fast runner, but this VX is faster and, more important, much more stable. The ZXi would throw you off at the drop of a hat if you got out of shape in the least. At seventy-four years of age, I prefer to stay dry unless I want to get wet!

Thanks for your comment. Interesting about the fuel gauge on your 2023. I wonder if the change happened with the 2024's then? When there are 3 bars left and it says low fuel (Say 15% of gauge), when you fill up, does it take 15+ gallons, or does it only take around 9-10? The power on these ski's is perfect and the stability is great. On one of my videos going from Marinett WI to Door County (big water), the ski handled 5 ft waves fine. I was soaked and sore for days, but I made it!

You don't need that extender. I mounted the under hood bag and the soft loops that I attach everything to so you can just pull it all up by the dock lines. I just did a vid on the install recently. check it out.
