    ----------------------
    As promised, here is the GPS Speed Test and Part 4 of the in-depth review and comparison of the WLToys A959 and A959-B!
    Apart from the paint job of the body plus the stickers on the transmitter, the Magma Buggy is identical to the original release of the WLToys A959. I'm not sure if it is still available anywhere.
    The WLToys A959/A959-B, also known as the Vortex, Storm CC, Magma and Brave Pro from WLtoys and 2fast2fun, is an 1/18th scale shaft-driven 4WD buggy. The same platform is also available in Truck editions.
    I believe the A959 has a 390 motor, and not a 380 as mistakenly specified in the video.
    This video also marks the day where this small part of the global RC Community reached 4000 subscribers! As I've said many times before, numbers are just numbers, but behind these particular numbers there are real people and real friends! Without you all this would have been a lonely journey and a lonely hobby for me!

      Price, parts supply, 4WD, looks and durability of the flexible plastic (in my personal opinion). And the A959 standard edition actually runs pretty good. But yeah, you raise a good point, but one shouldn't really compare them with expensive and bigger models. These model's popularity are closely tied to the price.

      And make a monster truck 1/2 I don't know which one I should get but I'm thinking more towards the a 959 cuz it's got a longer run time but the a959b has a bigger motor so I would be able to put my brushless OC day motor in it decisions decisions

    Super video Mikael! I agree with Derek - the beginning was fantastic with the 3 buggies turning the front wheels in unison! Wow, you have gained so many subscribers in a short time, and I am very pleased to be one of them! You have a brilliant channel and I have enjoyed every video - long may it continue - so, many congratulations and I will be here when you hit 10,000!!! :))

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  6 років тому +1

      Thank you very much Mark! Yeah, I like that shot too, although as I told Derek, it was achieved by forgetting to turn on all transmitters while all the cars was turned on :-) Yeah, well, subscriber counts goes faster and faster. The hardest 1000 subscribers to get was the 1-1000. Took longer than from 1000-4000. Some day we will probably both hit 10.000, if we continue making videos, but it will probably be years from now - but it's all good :-)

    • @MarkBryanRC
      @MarkBryanRC 6 років тому +1

      Yes, it certainly is all good! If you continue at this rate, I'm sure it won't take you years to get to 10,000, but as we have talked before, just playing the game can be rewarding in itself! Somebody IS watching - well at least I know that I am! :-)

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  6 років тому +1

      Good saying, playing the game is rewarding. I bet I would still be playing the game if a certain 10-30 subscribers where the only ones watching ☺️ But the more the merrier 😄

    • @MarkBryanRC
      @MarkBryanRC 6 років тому +1

      Mikael - I don't know where you keep getting these sayings from - "the more the merrier" is very English! So good to hear that these sayings travel afar! Maybe it is Danish! Anyway, I was watching Lenny Kravitz earlier today, and he says "Let love rule" and I agree with that! :-)

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  6 років тому +1

      Ahh cool, Lenny. Yeah, Let Love Rule! Remember playing a lot of his songs in the 1990s. Great riffs. And his lyrics still holds truth. ‘Love transcends all space and time’, ‘We got to leeet looooooove rule! 😄

    4000 subs! AWESOME . Big Congratulations Mikael. Thank You for always supporting my channel too my good friend. The start of this video was superb when all three RC's turned their front wheels at the same time. I was very impressed. Did your wife and son help with that or was it cool editing? I also recognised the famous (or "unlisted video" famous) Suzuki Swift concrete wall, he he. Great comparison speed runs of some cool RC's. Thumbs up and have a good Sunday. : ))

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  6 років тому +1

      Thanks a lot Derek, and thanks for supporting my channel too, my friend. Must say it’s a pleasure following your channel. Yeah, that looked good. It happened by accident. These cheap RCs bind to the first available transmitter. If there are no empty available they just hook on to the same. I happened to only have one of the transmitters on (they are all identical). So one can run multiple cars at the same time with the same transmitter, just like with a 27 MHz with the same frequency. He he, I avoided driving into the wall this time ☺️

    • @hollyhillrc
      @hollyhillrc 6 років тому +1

      I didn't think of that. I wonder what it would be like to put one in front of the other and see if they could be driven around that track at the same time. I would love to try that. If it could be done it would look so cool. Like a procession before a race. : )

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  6 років тому

      Would be cool, but it usually doesn’t work because of the trimming. All cars lock on to the same steering trim which ends up with all cars going off in different directions ☺️ So if it should work one needs to manually trim the steering links and servos, with a neutral digital trim. And as these cars need constantly trimming I think it would be real hard.

    • @hollyhillrc

      Thanks, M! Yeah, +50% in speed. One can feel that. Well, the pinion is bigger also I think so it's not just the motor, but the gearing. And that explains why the motor and ESC gets really hot really fast in the A959-B. I prefer the A959 with the 40 kph, cool motor and control though :-)

I have a Traxxas kyle busch 1/16 truck, i plan to upgrade motor, battery and suspension, but now I've seen these WL toys cars. • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  5 років тому

      Thank you very much for watching, Mr. Es G! Ohh, even faster. I have trouble controlling the A959-B as it is - and make it go straight at full speed. It really has a mid of it's own when reaching max. speed. I enjoy the A959 standard edition a bit more. Much more controllable, less heat in the ESC and motor, more run time (even with the smaller battery) and still really fast :-)

    • @catbijoux1
      @catbijoux1 5 років тому

      The 959B is already too fast in stock form for adults, image for a kid !! And you want to make it faster? Here's an excellent video showing clearly that it is already hard to control at full throttle due to it being overpowered, and nonetheless people always want to 'make it faster'. Blah! Well, can you tell us whether you eventually got it and how did it go? Cheers :-)

    Wait a minute... How many hands do you have? 🤔
    LOL cool video. The Magma looks the best one of the group: T plug connectors but with the 390 motor, much more controllable. And if I read it right in another comment it seems to be discontinued... What a pity.

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  6 років тому +1

      Ha ha, only two sadly :-) All cars where hooked up to the same transmitter in that shot with the wheels turning in syncro :-) I think the new standard A959 with the metal main drive shaft would be the best for the price, but yeah, the t-plugs on the Magma is nice. But so far I've not had any heat issues with the JST connectors on the A959, so I would definitly prefer the A959 standard. The A959-B, for me, is only fun for some crazy fun speed. But the Magma and A959 are actually fun runners (like you say much more controllable). Still some steering issues out-of-the-box (steering is different in different speeds so they are hard to trim) but with the speed of 40 kph it's managable and doesn't destroy the fun.

    Wow that 959b is insane. 60kph for a car that cheap. I just brought the 959 a and b version today. To be fair you should have ran the red one on the same battery as the green one for a real comparison of motor power difference.

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah, but this one was more about the stock set up versus stock set up. The little difference in mah (1100 versus 1500) won’t do any major difference in top speed though. Volts have more to say.

    Oh, i almost forget this: A595-B is realy soo fast for its size that is very difficult to control it. But i saw realy big difference if you put 800 or even better 1000 shock oil into shockers. Its still very insane but a lot better then non.

      @NordicRC  5 років тому

      Yeah, crazy fast. I actually prefer the A959 and got an upgrade series for it coming up. I have a video with the oil shocks on my channel, testing it out for the A959-B and A979-B. At that time I didn't have any hard oil, so it didn't really work. Gonna try it again with harder oil on the A959 in an upcoming video. Thanks a lot for watching and the great comment, Matic.

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  5 років тому

      Uhh, yeah, I know the feeling. Braking a part and having to wait for new parts to arrive. But it's kinda the game of RCing. If it is a unit that sees a lot of run time the best way will be to order a lot of spare parts for future repairs or/and see if there are any donor cars available second hand (sometimes these cars can be had quite cheap, if let's say they have a broken ESC, and seller don't want to repair it before selling it - then buying such a unit and taking it apart for spare parts can save a lot of money).

      Ah, the clip where they are turning their wheels simultaneously? Yes, one transmitter can be hooked up to all of them at the same time.
