It's cool and creative that the Treasure Island in Disney adaptation is in steampunk science fiction genre adaptation and look like both a steampunk and pirate theme version of Star Wars, there could be steampunk science fiction genre adaptation also of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and be named "20,000 Light Years in the Outer Space" or "20,000 Light Years in the Galaxy".
I remembered that these people worked on both The Little Mermaid and Aladdin. I also remembered that the same animator that worked on the villain for this movie worked on The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and Pocohontas.

The thing that truly prevented this movie from being good was using too much earthy tones for the setting even though space and planets have a lot of color vibrance compared to earth and Jim's voice actor sounded weird in English when I watched the film he sounded like a little kid and not a teen even though the Voice actor is an adult
Such an underrated Disney masterpiece! It really shouldn't have flopped so hard at the box-office! It deserves so much better!
